I came up from my conversation with the river gods to see Annabeth's worried face. I willed the current to push me forward as fast as possible towards the shore. I arrived in 5 seconds and ran up to Annabeth. "It worked." I said "The rivers are safe." She nodded. "Good, because we have other problems. There's an army of monsters heading up the Williamsburg bridge. And Percy," She said with a fearful look in her eyes. "The one leading them…it's the Minotaur." I instantly whistled for Blackjack. In a black flash, he was there in front of me. We need to get to the Williamsburg bridge, fast." He reared and whinnied. "OK boss, but it doesn't look good out there." He spoke in my mind. I helped Annabeth onto my pegasus, then jumped on myself. "Go, go, go!" I shouted. Blackjack went into a galloping start and took off, narrowly missing a stone lion. We flew swiftly and silently. When I arrived at the W-burg bridge, I saw indeed it was the second monster I ever killed; my old enemy the Minotaur. As we approached the ground. I jumped landing solid on my feet, without even a grunt. Other monsters surged forward, but the Minotaur kept them back. "Hey Beef Boy, don't I have your horn on my wall?" I taunted him. His eyes were filled with hate, and he bellowed loudly. Once he was done, I stepped forward. "One on one, Just like old times?" he stepped forward accepting the challenge and unstrapping his omega axe, swung it around him so that his side backed off.

I watched with amusement as Percy Jackson bantered with a man cow who couldn't talk. I was surprised to hear that Percy had fought the soon-to-be-hamburger man before. Maybe that was why my father had brought it out to lead. However, It didn't even stand a chance. I watched as Percy lopped off one horn, then the other and threw bull man off the bridge. I started clapping loudly.
Percy
I heard clapping as I got ready to charge. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Annabeth look up and gasp. I followed her gaze and my eyes widened. There, sitting on a support beam, was Kat, golden eyes shining with amusment. "Bravo!" she called down, still clapping. "Bravo." I couldn't say a thing, and stood rooted to the spot. She smirked, and jumped down 300 feet, mimicking me by landing on her feet with no broken bones or death involved. I cursed silently. I hadn't realized she had bathed in the Styx as well. Her steel/bronze sword appeared in her hand. "Wanna play with the big guns now?" She said as she cocked an eyebrow. I could barely nod so nervous was I. She raised her dagger from around her waist and a bubble started to form around us. Apparently this was also a signal for attack. Approximatly 200 monsters rushed forward to engage my forces. And I could do nothing. I turned to Kat who was advancing slowly. Her sword raised in guard position. I jumped and struck at her. She blocked it easily and struck back. I had a hard time parrying her as she delivered a flurry of blows to all around my body, trying to find my Achilleus spot. I found an opening and struck at her head She locked swords with me and pulled me in close. She looked into my eyes and kissed me on the lips.

Everything was going as planned. I was going to turn Percy Jackson, champion of the gods, to my side. I could feel him relaxing slowly. I had almost won when someone shouted desperately "Percy!" He jumped and pulled away from the kiss. "Annabeth!" he called back. Somehow that girl had gotten inside my barrier. I sighed as Percy looked at me in a rage. "True love conquers all then?" I said disappointedly. He rushed me and with all his strength swung up at my armpit. There was a blinding flash.
Percy
I swung up to where I thought her spot was: underneath the armpit which would be very hard to hit. Riptide connected and there was a blinding flash and a searing heat in my sword hand, but I could not let go of my sword. The flash died down and I saw with dismay, that Riptide was in three foot long pieces. One, the hilt, was still in my hand. The other two pieces were strewn along the bridge. Kat looked from the pieces to me and smirked victoriously. "Well, that's done." She said matter-a-factly. She raised her sword and yelled, " My turn!"
