POV: Piper
Leo called another emergency meeting, by Jason's request. I saw him come down from the deck. "Is everything alright?" I asked. He didn't meet my eyes. "No, but lets talk about it later." His hands were shaking, and he didn't seem to move more than he needed to.
He was scared. There wasn't much that scared him, and definitely not this bad. I picked up pace behind him. He stumbled a few times, like he was tired. He probably was, we all were. I stayed up all night on guard duty . Annabeth was supposed to be on watch with me, but she didn't show up.
I don't blame her. It had only been a days since she and Percy escaped Tartarus, and she could probably use a LOT of rest. We reached the mess hall and everyone was there, but Percy and Annabeth were still in their pajamas. And has a serious case of bad hair day. Gods of Olympus, I'm turning into my mom…
Frank and Hazel were holding hands, and Leo was tinkering with his ancient GPS thing. I sat down next to Jason at the head of the table. He spoke up, his voice trembling. "We're in for some more trouble-" Leo interrupted. "We have a nearly invincible dragon, an angry godess-"
Annabeth jumped in, "Actually she's a Protogenoi-" "Fine! An angry 'Protogenoi,' and all the monsters in the world trying to kill us. Of course we have more problems. Otherwise, it'd be too easy."
Jason continued. " I had a dream last night, and long story short, an insane god named Sheogorath is coming to kill us, and I don't think he's coming alone."
Leo nearly fainted. "No way, this CAN NOT be a coincidence. Was Sheogorath dining with someone? In the woods?" "Yes, Pelagius, how did you know? Did you have the same dream?" "No, but I have seen that before. In a video game. One I was making, actually. And the main boss' name?" Percy looked up. "Alduin."
Now it was my turn to nearly faint. "That dragon from yesterday?" Annabeth asked. Leo nodded. Percy cleared his throat. "Probably not the best time to bring this up, but I had a dream as well. I was at camp, and Ella started saying The Prophecy."
"The Prophecy of Seven?" I asked. Percy nodded slightly. "But a little bit different. She said 'Seven Half-Bloods shall answer the call. To storm or fire the world must fall. An oath to keep with a final breath, and foes bear arms to the doors of death. But one of black shall help the earth, by traveling to the gods place of birth. The seven half-bloods shall be beat, and all life on earth, buried beneath."
I glanced around the room. Frank was out cold, Hazel was crying, and Leo had put down his toys. "Now, I'm not sure what this means, but-" "OUCH!" I looked down. Katoptris, my dagger, was glowing. And my clothes were smoldering.
Hesitantly, I grabbed the hilt, but it was cool to the touch. I placed it on the table, and the table burst into flames. Percy summoned some water and doused the fire as I quickly picked up the knife again. I was still cool.
I looked into the blade, the others leaning in so they could see. A man dressed in multi-colored clothing spoke. "Azura, heal the Oblivion Gate." "Sheogorath." Jason said quietly. They were standing next to a stone arch shaped like the symbol π, and the other person, Azura, was muttering gibberish.
The sky went from light to dark, as if it were going back in time. After a few minutes, the gate started to fill with a purple light. The stepped through the gate, followed by more people. Frank, who has just woken up, decided to take another nap. The blade faded and I sheathed it, as it was no longer setting things on fire.
Then the alarm decided to go off. Leo grabbed the Archimedes Sphere and a hologram shot out. "The shields, cloaking device, and ballista are all down!" He showed us the radar.
There were monsters everywhere, surrounding the whole ship.
Sorry for not updating last week, I forgot again!
