"Oh, the name's Ryder by the way"

Naruto smiled at Ryder in return. "Cool name," the blonde told him, not finding anything else to say to him.

'HAHAHA! Ryder?! What?!' Inside his head however, he was laughing his ass off. 'Kurama, hey Kurama. I wonder what he rides. Eh? HAhaha! Do you get it? 'cause his name is Ryder! HA!'

Oh for Kami's sake, brat. A moment ago you were panting at him like a mutt in heat and the next you're immaturely laughing at his name. Human teenagers are incomprehensible.

'Oi! That's not fair, you just-'

Teenagers! Kurama interrupted him, are a disgusting meld between children and rabbits. You're attracted to everything that moves but the thought of that is funny to you? I'll never understand. Worse for me is that you don't even limit yourself to the females of your breed. I have to endure though you drooling over the male monkeys as well.

'Hey! At least you know I won't ever do anything about... that stuff... So stop whining, you giant kitty cat!'

A deep mocking laugh boomed out cruelly though his mind. Of course you wouldn't do "stuff", stupid kit. You are still obsessed with your glorious Sakura-chan, are you not? Though, can you even remember her eye colour, I wonder?

Naruto growled in return.

Out loud.

Ryder paused and looked at Naruto with widened eyes. "Dude... Did you just growl at me?!"

"Uhh..." Naruto hesitated. Ryder was staring at him expectantly with those chocolaty eyes, looking a little freaked out. Naruto narrowed his eyes and turned his head slightly, keeping eye contact. "Nooooo...?" He said slowly, looking so suspicious that the author should have just written *shifty eyes shifty eyes* (wait, what?).

"...Sure." The brunette replied just as slowly. Maybe Ryder would regret offering to show the new kid around.

It took quite a while for Naruto to get a good look at the school, although he could have sworn he'd passed the secretaries office a few times over by now. Still though, Ryder insisted that they weren't done. In fact, Naruto was beginning to suspect that the brunette was just leading him in circles like a trained dog to get out of classes. Sure the guy was cool and all (and hot) but Naruto wasn't a dog! 'I'm a fox!' He thought.

You're not a fox, I'm a fox and we are not the same person, no matter what your therapist says.

'Shut up.'

Now normally, Naruto wouldn't be so against cutting classes, but since he'd moved here he'd gotten another chance at having the same independence he'd had in Konoha. However, this time it was without all the "die demon child!" nonsense. The blonde was not going to blow that just for a few hours off! He was still a genin and that meant a lot to him, even if it meant nothing to anyone else in this world.

"Hey, uhh, Ryder?"

"Yeah, man?" The brunette turned towards Naruto and gave an awkward smile. "Is there something wrong? 'Cause, y'know, we still need to see the... uhh... secretaries office. Yeah. It's this way, come on." Ryder pointed ahead and moved forwards again.

Naruto frowned confusedly and pushed forward until he was ahead of the flustered teen. Ryder continued to move forward determinedly but Naruto matched his pace, jogging backwards so that they could still face each other. A nagging voice in the back of his mind (that for once was not Kurama) complained that he wasn't as tall as the lanky teen he was looking at so he had to actually jog if he wanted to keep up with the wide strides.

"Great," Naruto smiled as he said it, although it was obvious he was still confused, "this was really fun and you're really... Awesome," 'H.O.T. hot' Naruto's mind corrected him. His eyes darted down to Ryder's lips for a moment but thankfully he didn't notice, "but when we get to the office, I should probably pick up my schedule and get to class. You too, it's been like," he checked his watch, "45 minutes. But let's hang out some time and be friends, okay?"

Ryder looked irritated and sped to a power walk like the ones Naruto had seen business people in this world doing, "fine! You can be a nerd but don't tell me what to do like you're so great, Blondie."

"Huh?!" Naruto was shocked, weren't they friends? Was this guy another Sasuke? He must think that just because he's hansom and people like him he can just do what he wants and be all arrogant and stuff! That, that people will follow him around... all day... just like Naruto had been doing. Well there was no way ever that Naruto would become a fanboy for some copycat Sasuke!

"It's not my fault you think you're too great to go to class, Bast-Bieber!" Naruto had almost called him bastard like he used to with Sasuke, but somehow it felt wrong.

Suddenly Ryder stopped, "this is the office, dork."

"What?"

"I said this is the-"

-CRASH-

Naruto hit the wall hard and knocked off the stuff on the shelf the other side of it. An angry looking secretary came bumbling out of the door, glaring at Naruto. When the blonde looked back up, rubbing the bump on the back of his head, he saw the tail end of Ryder Lynn, storming away around the side of the corridor.

"Lo siento no tengo una barba a la derecha. Now repeat: Lo siento no tengo una-"

The door flung open in the middle of Mr Shue's lecture. Naruto stepped into the room and looked at the teacher stood in front of him in a tidy sweater vest that his new timetable named as 'Mr. Schuester." A few sniggers floated up from the class as Mr Schue lowered his arms and turned to the late student. The man had a very expressive and kind looking face, Naruto could pick out the moment he realised that this was not one of his students by the confusion that contorted his laugh lines.

"Hello? Can I help you?" The teacher asked.

"Sorry, sir," said Naruto, switching to Spanish, surprising Mr Schue and some of the bored students, "I'm new and I... er... got a bit lost. The name's Naruto Uzumaki, but I don't know if I'm on the register yet. Sorry for being late and messing up your lesson."

Mr Schuester shook off his shock quickly and beamed at what looked to be a student who would take his class seriously. The change was very welcome in his opinion. "It's nice to meet you Naruto," he replied, also in Spanish, "There are only 10 minutes left for class. Please use the time well." It was always kind of strange when Naruto noticed his languages were more fluent than the person who was supposed to be teaching him, but that was normal by now.

This time in English, Naruto chirped a "yes sir," and took the empty seat in the corner next to a boy with far too much gel in his hair. Like, seriously, how many jars of the stuff did he use?! Naruto was just tempted to reach out and poke it. Would it be slimy or rock hard, he wondered? It was so shiny! Like a helmet!

"You're very good at Spanish," Gel Head leant over and said softly, giving him a smile. Naruto returned the smile with a toothy grin and said "thanks." Gel Head leant back and turned his attention to the front again and the smile turning somehow amused and impressed, "and you're very good at getting out of trouble."

"Ehee," Naruto laughed awkwardly, scratching the back of his messy, golden locks.

Gel Head turned back to him and held out a hand, "I'm Blaine Anderson and I would like to officially welcome you to McKinley High."

"Ah, thanks, Naruto Uzumaki."

"Nice to meet you Naruto, no need for the thanks though, I'm taking it upon myself to be your welcoming committee, personal guide and of course, newest friend."

"Oh... um okay then"

"If you want I can show you around after class."

Naruto paused and sighed, "no thanks Ben, I think I got a good enough look at the school while I was... Lost."

"My name is Blaine."

"Sorry."

A/N: THIS STORY IS RATED T, NOT M. THAT MEANS I AM COMFORTABLE WITH 13 YEAR OLDS READING THIS. THERE WILL NOT BE GRAPHIC SITUATIONS. It is highly likely this story's main pairing will be slash, but you're reading a Glee crossover so when you ask questions about it, you don't actually have to worry that I might think you're homophobic- that wouldn't make much sense. I'm just going to choose the most sought after pairing and go with it, okay? The most that will happen is kissing. I hope I cleared reasoning for that up in the story as well. Naruto is still innocent (and obsessed with Sakura). If you really want me to though, I can make a couple of oneshots so that others don't have to read it.

SO anyway, pairing suggestions still, or I'll just go with Ryder, I can't wait too long since it has to develop, you probably have this and the next chapter to decide.
