This is the happy ending; the bonus chapter after this is the super ultra uber happy ending. Sorry about not updating sooner; I was evacuated by the fires in San Diego county.
Percy
I looked over and saw that Kat had breathed her last. I wondered why I hadn't done the same, until I looked at my ring/sword Promise. It was glowing something fierce. I heard footsteps come into the former throne room and stop behind me. "Nice job saving the world, hero" I heard Jay say without any sarcasm in his voice or anything. Annabeth and Thalia stood up as he pulled the bronze-steel sword out of me and threw it into the hearth fire, where it started to melt. I felt my back healing like I was in sea water and I looked at Jay in wonder. "I thought you weren't allowed to interfere." I said, feeling my back. There was not a blemish on it. "I lied" He said cheerfully. "I am not bound by those stupid ancient laws; I answer to no one but my father." I stood up wearily. Annabeth ran over and kissed me giddily. Jay and Thalia stood there smirking. "Why are you here?" I heard Thalia ask him. He laughed brightly. "Why, to crown the new gods and goddesses of course." I pulled away from Annabeth in shock; she whimpered and laid her head on my chest. "I'll go get the other candidates." Jay said matter-a-factly, Vanishing down to the bottom of the empire state building. I looked down at Annabeth. "Candidates?" I asked. She shrugged, out of answers for once. "Just hold me, Seaweed Brain. Just hold me." Soon Jay was bak with the other 'candidates,' which consisted of the cabin heads, Jason, Charles Beckondorf, and Zoe Nightshade. "Zoe?" I asked in shock. Her face brightened and she walked over to me. "Hello, Percy. Why are we in the throne room of the gods?" "Didn't Jay tell you anything?" Annabeth asked, pulling her head away. She shook her head as the half blooded son of Chaos paced around the room calling for order. All the talk died down. "Sons and daughters of the former gods and goddesses, hear me out." There were whispers at 'former,' but those died down as he kept talking. "The previous gods and goddesses were corrupt and getting more corrupted by the year. They in turn were corrupting the world. It was almost a blessing that the Titans rose up against them again, except for the lives that were lost." Here he gestured at Kat, which I found rather strange since she tried to kill us all. "You heroes of the second Titan war are blessed, for you have been chosen to replace the previous gods that faded when their thrones were destroyed. First up: Silena Bearugard." He said looking around. Silena stepped forward looking like she wanted to speak but couldn't. Jay walked over to her and placed his right hand on her head. "Father Chaos, I call upon you to bestow upon this beautiful woman the immortality of a goddess of love, for she deserves it." Silena began to float and glow softly, eyes closed. When she floated back down the glow diminished some, but not all the way. She smiled at Jay and went to go stand by her throne area. "Next: Zoe Nightshade." Zoe stepped up to Jay and waited. He put his right hand on her head. "Father Chaos, I call upon you to bestow upon this Huntress of the Stars the immortality of the goddess of the moon and of maidens, and hunting of all wild beasts, for she has died for it." Zoe smiled as she floated and glowed with a silvery light. She set down next to her throne area. "Next: Charles Beckendorf." Silena's eyes were shining as he said this. Beckondorf stepped forward. Jay grew a few feet to touch his head. "Father Chaos, I call upon you to bestow upon this man the immortality of the god of the fire and forges, for he too has died for it." Beckendorf didn't glow or hover like the other two; instead flames burned in a fiery aura around him and his eyes burst out fire too. The fire died down in a few seconds, and he stepped back to be next to Silena and his throne area. Jay smiled "Next up: Thalia Grace." He paused, something he hadn't done with the others. He shrunk a foot so that he could look her in the eye. "Do you want to hang up your bow and become the new maiden goddess of the hearth and home?" he asked gently, in no way imposing or pressuring. Thalia thought about it for a second, then nodded. "Yes, I do." "Zoe, goddess of those who hunt, do you release her from her oath of service?" Jay asked Zoe. Zoe nodded proudly. "I do; she has served long and well." Jay turned back to Thalia. "Father Chaos, I call upon you to bestow upon this maiden the immortality of the goddess of the home and hearth fire, for she has suffered for it." Thalia burst into flames also, but they were warmer and more comfortable than Beckondorf's. Once they died down, Jay called another name. "Will Solace." Will stepped forward. Jay placed his hand on Will's head. "Father Chaos, I call upon you to bestow upon this man the immortality and duties of a sun god, and of the god of archers and medicine, for he deserves it." Will glowed with a healthy light as Jay moved on. "Annabeth Chase." She looked at me, then kissed me and walked up to stand next Jay. He leaned in and whispered something to her, and she immediately whispered something back. She walked back to stand by me again. "What did he ask you?" I whispered to her. "You'll see." She answered, looking at Clarisse, the new goddess of war. "Next: Kaitlyn Gardner." Katie stepped forward nervously. Jay placed a hand on her head. "Father Chaos, I call upon you to bestow upon this woman the immortality of the goddess of plants and the harvest, for she has done much for it." "Travis and Conner Stoll." They both stepped forward at the same time. This time Jay placed a hand on each of their heads. "Father Chaos, I call upon you to bestow upon these twins the immortality of the god of thieves, the god of messengers, and the god of the traveler, and divide it equally between them because they deserve it." "Jason Grace" he called as soon as the twin gods of thievery left the circle. Jason stepped up proudly, his head held high. Before Jay began the ritual, he turned to all of us. "There will be no more roman form or Greek form nonsense" he said loudly so that all could hear. "That caused nothing but trouble." Turning back to Jason he announced in a loud voice, "Father Chaos, I call upon you to bestow upon this man the duties, and the responsibilities and the immortality of the King of the gods and the god of the sky for he has fought for it." Jason glowed strongly, more strongly than all the others. "I trust you will find your Queen in time." Jay said turning to the shadowy part of the room. "Bianca Di Angelo, come up! You are given the breath of life and your body back once more." I stifled my gasp when Bianca actually appeared in front of us. Zoe looked like she wanted to cry. "Jay laughed a little in embarrassment. "Sorry, Bianca, I forgot to get you when I was getting these two." He pointed at Zoe and Beckondorf. He asked her the same question he asked Thalia. Do you want to hang up your bow and become the new goddess of the Underworld?" She spoke without hesitation. "Yes, I do." Jay turned again to Zoe. "Do you release Bianca from her vow of maidenship and pledge of service to you?" Zoe had a single silvery tear running down her cheek. "Yes I do." She said. Jay turned back to Bianca and intoned "Father Chaos, I call upon you to bestow upon this young woman the duties and the responsibilities and the privileges and the immortality of the god of the underworld, for she has also died for it." Bianca didn't glow; she anti glowed rather, as an aura of darkness wrapped around her. When it disappeared, Jay took her by the arm. Keep your little demigod brother in check." He warned her. She nodded and went to stand by Jason. "Malcom Farsee." He stepped out from behind Annabeth and I, and walked forward. Jay put his hand on Malcolm's head and again intoned "Father Chaos, I call upon you to bestow upon this young man the immortality of the goddess of wisdom and battle, and bestow also all the wisdom that his mother had and all the empathy that she didn't have to him." He stepped back and Malcolm stood up, and walked back to where his throne was to be. "Finally, Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase." He paused, then chuckled. "Or should I say Annabeth Jackson." I was nervous, but Annabeth took my hand and we walked up there together. Jay placed his hands on both of our heads and said something different than he had to all the others. "Due to his snooty attitude and the fact that he cannot walk on land, Triton has forfeited his right to the throne of the sea. Father Chaos, I call upon you to bestow upon this joined couple the immortality of the sea god and the throne of Atlantis. Bless them father, for they have earned it." Smiling, Jay stepped back, and I felt the warmest sensation inside of me. I smelt the sea breeze on the air. I turned to Annabeth. "I love you eternally, Annabeth Jackson." She smiled. "You'll never get away from me now Seaweed Brain!" We kissed and everyone cheered. "Ladies and gentlemen I present to you: Our new gods of Olympus!" Everyone cheered again, and somehow hats materialized and we threw them in the air. Nobody noticed Jay picking up Kat's body and cradling it." Good bye little sister" he whispered and stepped into the portal with her in his arms.
