Jay

I stepped into the Chaos portal with a heavy heart and Kat's corpse in my arms. I arrived in my home on the world I created for myself, and set the body of my little sister on my bed. I fell to my knees and cried, real tears flowing from my cheeks, the sheets soaking them up. MY LITTLE SISTER IS DEAD! I thought with despair. In my grief I caused thunder to rumble, and lightning to flash over my cave, while the villager ran for cover from the suddentorrential rain. I closed my eyes, tears still leaking out from the corners of my eyes. I stood and looked at Kat's still corpse and a tear from each of my eyes dripped on her face. I looked up at the cloudy skies on the ceiling that I had made to look like the weather outside. I did not notice Kat's eyes fluttering or her gasp of the breath of life flowing through her again. That is, until she lifted a hand and brushed it against my leg. I started and looked down in astonishment. "Jay…" Kat whispered hoarsely, her once dead golden eyes shining with brown, bright life again, her skin warm to the touch. I cried out with joy and the fierce storm became a light drizzle as I hugged Kat as she was laying down. "Why do you care so much, Jay?" I heard Kat say. I let go of her body and took her hand. "Don't you know?" I asked laughing
with relief. "I'm your brother, Jay Eddon. I was taken from our mother by Chaos himself because I was too powerful to be trained in the mortal world. I blessed you in your cradle. I am the Legacy of Chaos, and you are the Legacy of
Time, and we are brother and sister, Katastrophe Eddon." She stared at me in shock, wide eyed, trying to remember something of me, anything of me. She clearly hadn't expected that answer. "Where are we?" she finally asked, looking around. "Can you stand?" I asked gently. She nodded. "I think so." And stood up off the bed shakily. Her first few steps were wobbly, but she had only been dead for an hour at
most, so she soon regained her strength enough to walk to the cave mouth. Once there, she gasped in shock as she took in the village and villagers working their crops below us and the young world beyond
them. I came to stand next to her. "You created all this?" she breathed, looking like she was about to faint. I chuckled, and took her hand. "Come on, let me show you my world." I said smiling and leading
her down the path to the village. She followed with great awe in her brown eyes. I showed her the village and took her to the outskirts, which was right next to a big lake. We sat on the edge and stared into the setting sun's reflection on the water in peaceful silence. "Who are the gods and rulers in this world? And what is it called anyway?" Kat asked curiously, breaking the silence. I shook my head. "There are no gods; it is just me who they think of as their deity. And there are no rulers yet, because the villages haven't discovered each other yet. My world is called Adorpt by this village, and various other names by the other ones." Kat nodded. "Can I stay here, like forever, Jay?" She asked suddenly and hopefully. I pretended to think deeply on it, although I had made my decision when she rose from the dead. "Of course you can stay. Do you want to be Immortal? I think you would make a lovely goddess
who watches over this world fairly." She seemed to be agonizing over this decision, when I leaned toward her ear and whispered "I know how to make an immortal fade, should you become tired of living
after a few thousand years." She nodded finally, took a deep breath and stood up. I stood up also, and placed a hand on her head. "Father Chaos, I call upon you to bestow this young woman the immortality
of the young goddess of this new world for she deserves it." She floated and glowed like a miniature sun, brighter than all the the new gods of Olympus combined. As she floated back down, she smiled contently. "C'mon Kat. Let's introduce you properly to the villagers." I led her back to the village jubilantly, skipping and dancing with her the whole way.
