Algol vs Kratos; the two heroes fought, exchanging blows for hours, neither gaining the upper hand. Kratos weapons wielded the powers of the gods, more than a match for the hero king's swords. They fought for days, until their powers were exhausted and Algol lost consciousness.
Algol awoke in a stone laboratory, possibly in the castle dungeon. His vision was blurry, but he could make out a tall female with short blonde hair.
He sat up quickly, as he assumed he has been captured, but he soon realized was not restrained in anyway.
"I seek Sophitia Alexandra." Algol said in a calm voice. He suffered 6 broken ribs, a fractured arm, leg and pelvis. He was in so much pain he could barley breathe, much less yell or show any anger or emotion.
But he could see the light of the swords; they had not left him.
"Sophitia Alexandra is dead." the girl with the short hair said. This sent shock waves through his body. He started to feel physically ill.
"when?" he asked, gasping for air.
"That is the least of your concerns." she said approaching with needles. "You're dying; even with the power of the swords, both your legs are broken and sick with infection. One by one your organs will fail and the pain will be over whelming." It was clear what she wanted to do; take samples- she wanted to learn what made him a suitable host for the immortal swords.
"ANSWER ME!" he tried to stand but pain in his lungs rippled though his body But as he fell to his knees, his anger was enough to shoot an energy blast at the girl.
"ok! Fine!" the blast grazed her hip, ripping off part of her clothing and causing a severe burn on her side, but otherwise missing her torso. It was enough to make her realize he would not lie down quietly.
" 2 months ago. Not long after you last saw her." she said, as if that would sooth him in to allowing her to take samples, but it didn't. He roared and shot back to full power, his body rippling with the glowing energy of the swords; not only could he stand he was hovering.
She shot back with a whip-like device with a needle attached to it. Algol prepared for a fight.
"WHEN?!" he shouted launching another energy blast at her.
"2 MONTHS AGO- TO KRATOS!" she shouted back as his energy blast hit her. She held up a "block" but her arm only blocked so much. She was knocked in to a table, and stayed down for a few seconds to catch her breath.
With that he calmed down "what it is your name?" Algol said, offering her his hand.
"ivy..." she said limping to her feet. "You've been in my care since I located your body after the fight." she explained. Ivy was a scientist who specialized in the study of the swords. She had tried to take samples (of blood or tissue) when he was unconscious but his body would not allow it; the needles would melt from an unseen energy source.
Now that he was awake, and no longer horrible angry at her, his body allowed her needles took a small sample; enough for her purposes.
"where can I find kratos?" he asked as he prepared to leave the next day.
Ivy explained, it has been over 6 months since their encounter, and kratos had moved south to Egypt. The self proclaimed 'god of war' wanted to make world know of his power.
but that was not entirely true.
The sands blew harshly across the Turkish city driving many from the streets as he took his first step into their world; none aware to the danger they were soon to be visited a pound them by the ghostly white man. The winds howled past him like an orchestra getting ready to play a great symphony to a tragic moment in the lives of mortals. As he took a breath, the winds stopped and for miles anyone one could hear.
"I AM THE GOD OF WAR …..PREPARE YOURSELVES!"
In that moment buildings began to explode sending people running for their lives and those unable to get away where cut to ribbons by an unseen force. Their blood soaked into the sandy ground as the white figure move forward bring more destruction, death and fear. People tried to find safety, and even hid but all they found was a place to die; and the sound of chains clanking before they even saw what killed them.
And many others didn't even hear the clanking of chains before they meet there fate. This destruction continue for hours before another came. A woman, a wife and mother, who was tracking the man out of a sense of duty after fleeing from him all those months before.
The warrior inside her knew he had to be stopped; and If she didn't feel a putrid horror before -she did now as her eyes saw the corpse of men, women and children strewed across the ground and from trees and others things. It made her remember her own tragedy. She could feel the blood gush over her sandals feet as she made her way towards what she assume was his 'lair'; where the god of war was indulging in his bloodlust and need to show the world his power.
