"N – No way…"
"…Dad?"
Silence washed over the 3 people in Lucy's apartment, ridding them of all prior thoughts. Lucy soup spoon lay flat on the floor, its contests spilled on the ground and on her clothes. Gray clutched his head dizzily, grasping of a chair behind him. He fumbled around and somehow managed to sit himself down on the seat.
"Wait, so…you're my dad? The one who..." Gray gulped slowly. "Who left mu – Ur?" Gray corrected himself, not daring to say the word 'mum' in Silver's presence. Silver sighed, running a hand through his hair, forcing himself to look Gray in the eye.
"Yeah, I left Ur when she was pregnant with you. We had a fight because everything wasn't working out. You know the rest," Silver exhaled heavily. With the look on his face, it didn't look like he was having fun reminiscing memories, Lucy concluded. She decided to leave the two alone privately, slowly exiting the room to change into a clean outfit.
"I'll be in my room if you guys need me. Just talk everything out," Lucy said softly to the two boys, walking out of the living room towards her bedroom. Gray and Silver both nodded to her, appreciating that she had left them alone.
"Was it because of me?" Gray blurted out, eyebrows raised, but covered his mouth after he noticed his mistake, making Silver chuckle a little with a pained smile.
"It was because of our relationship, so don't blame anything on yourself," Silver breathed out. He wanted so much to avoid eye contact with Gray, but forced himself to stare him in the face, as he knew that he had a lot of explaining to do.
Minutes passed and the only sound that could be heard was the ticking of a clock and Lucy's shuffling and clattering in her room. Gray's face was suspended, Silver's head slightly down in shame. Gray thought and thought till he couldn't anymore – when Silver saw a determined look in his eyes, he knew that his son had decided. It was either forgive and forget or blame and remember.
"I see. So that's how it was," Gray choked out, sighing loudly. "I'm not mad or angry of the sort. I guess it just couldn't work out," Gray said, trying to be nonchalant about it.
"So…how did you manage to get together with Lucy, hmm?" Silver eyed Gray with a devious glint in his eyes, making the latter sweatdrop and take a step back in defence.
"I…uh….Lucy! Help me!" Gray yelled, scrambling over the couch and tumbling over his own feet as he bombarded down the hallway and ran into her open bedroom.
"Get out!" Gray's helplessness was greeted by a big, fat and feather-stuffed pillow colliding with his face. Due to the force, he came falling to the ground, his butt hitting painfully on the floor.
"Hey, that hurt!" He complained, weakly throwing the pillow back into her room. He stood up and brushed himself off. Every single step he took into her room was cautious, and he made sure that he didn't upset her. Her room, he discovered, was surprisingly normal – a few tables and bookcases here and there, complimented by scattered photo frames and decorations. Her light pink bed was pushed against the window, a big lamp sitting atop a bedside desk next to it.
"Hey, loverbirds! I hope you're not doing anything inappropriate in there," Silver called out, making the new couple blush tremendously.
"Shut up, Silver! Stop being a pervert!" Lucy fired a pillow to his face, but to her surprise, he caught it and launched it back. Unfortunately or fortunately for him, his throw was off the mark and hit Gray square in the face.
"Why you-!" Gray grabbed the remainder of Lucy's pillows and threw them all in random directions. "I'm gonna kill you all!"

"Oh my gosh."
"Holy smokes!"
"No way!"
Murmurs, whispers and mutters spread like wildfire through all the students on campus. Gray and Lucy were walking side by side nonchalantly, as always, but with one change. both their hands were intertwined between them as they walked significantly closer to each other. Jaws dropped and students rubbed their eyes as they tried to accept the fact that Lucy Heartfilia and Gray Fullbuster were holding hands.
Gray's friends had congratulated him with hard and painful slaps on the back, while Lucy snickered at the sight of her boyfriend pleading for help. His heart (and his back) were shattered as she slapped away his outstretched hand that grasped the air, trying to grab her hand. Lucy ignored him, more intent on what she saw in the corner of her eye - a dejected Takeshi turning away from the Student Council door.
After Gray's little adventure to Hell, the days passed by as per usual. As Lucy grabbed her bag from her locker and shut it, a teacher suddenly approached her with a box and a key.
"Sorry, Heartfilia-san, but could you take this to the Science Room?" Lucy kindly nodded and grabbed the box from the teacher, scoffing at her back as she disappeared down the hallway.
"It's not nice to scoff at people, you know."
"Shut up, Gray."
Her boyfriend appeared from the shadows with a grin on his face. "I, the mighty Gray-sama, will allow you to accompany me to the Science Room!" he boomed triumphantly, grabbing the box from her hands and marching away from her.
"Ah – hey! I can carry that myself!" She huffed, running to catch up to him. Gray just shrugged and marched faster and faster until they met the blue door of the Science Room. With the click of a lock and the turn of the key, they were granted access into the storage room that smelled like medicine and disinfectants.
"Alright, time to return the key –"
"Not so fast, Lucy," Gray said in a teasing tone as he grabbed her arm and pinned her against the wall. The key clattered on the floor as he set his hands on either side of her head forcefully, making her cringe.
"What are you –" She didn't have time to react as she felt Gray's lips claim her own in a soft kiss. Taken aback, she didn't know what to do as he moved his lips against hers, trying to urge her to do the same. His knee suddenly found its way trailing up between her legs as he pressed on her skin, making her gasp and open her mouth slightly. Gray took this to his advantage and proceeded to French kiss her. Lucy, moved her lips against his now and during her desperation of trying to do this, she had grabbed his tie and pulled it closer towards her, while Gray continued to plant his arms on either side of her. After they pulled away, panting and breathing heavily, Gray was the first to break the silence.
With a lick of his lips, the only comment that he could muster was," We should do this more often." Lucy went beet red at his comment that she categorised as 'lewd', earning his a punch in the stomach.
"Shut up, idiot." She quickly grabbed his face before he doubled over and pecked him softly on the lips.
"Oi –"
And then she ran.

After a bad night's sleep and a slow and groggy morning, Lucy had managed to drag her tired self to school, finding herself dwelling over what happened yesterday as she lugged her bag into her locker. Thinking about yesterday's events always made her cheeks light up and her brain to function bad.
"Ah –"
"Oh –"
Lucy and Gray coincidentally met each other at the school entrance. Both blushed like tomatoes and proceeded their stiff dance known as 'moving' to other people.
"Yo, Lucy." Gray did a mini salute with his two fingers towards his girlfriend, trying to avoid her eyes. Of course, being a boy, the only place that would look at was her generous chest size.
"W – where do you think you're looking, you idiot!" She yelled at him, crossing her arms after she noticed where his gaze as directed to.
"U – uh, sorry." Gray looked away, scratching the back of his head nervously. They stood in an awkward silence, only accompanied by the ticking of a nearby clock. Around this time in the morning, most students were sitting outside, especially with the cool autumn weather going on.
Lucy, being an impatient woman of her age, decided that she was fed up with the silence between them that had gone on for about 3 minutes and counting.
"You know what? Kissing's going to be a normal thing between us, right? Why not start now?" Lucy marched up to Gray, grabbed his face and pulled his lips into hers. She moved her lips against his slowly and then abruptly pulled away, making Gray scowl.
"Why'd you stop for?" he complained, watching her retreating figure head for the classrooms.
"That's what you get for standing stiff like a robot," she sang at him, giggling.
"Oh no you don't!" Gray grabbed her and pinned her against the school lockers, kissing her roughly but passionately. Lucy seemed surprised at first, but soon kissed him back with the same amount of passion as him. They pulled away, hot and breathless, their panting fanning each other's faces hotly.
Gray eyed at Lucy's partly bruised but still plump lips, watching in the corner of his eye as Lucy did the same to him.
"So, since we're on this topic, how bout' we go on a date this Saturday? I'm free, and we haven't been on one before," Gray shrugged, grabbing her hand and helping her off the lockers. He began a slow walk with Lucy and inwardly grinned as he heard her reply.
"Yeah, sure." She leaned her head on his shoulder and smiled. To others, it didn't seem like much of a reaction from Lucy, but Gray knew for sure that she was dying of happiness inside. And that, she was.
The rest of the day proceeded as normal – Natsu and Gray constantly fighting, Lisanna trying to stop them, Erza thundering at the boys in rage and so on and so forth. During their fight though, Lucy had noticed something – the way that Lisanna looked at Natsu while he was fighting with Gray. A mix of worry, concern and that tiny tinge of affection was displayed on her face and in her eyes.
"Hoho, so it's like that, is it?" Lucy smirked to herself and leaned back in her chair, after giving it a little thought. She then shook her head in disbelief as she remembered the same array of emotions evident on Lisanna's face as she stared at Natsu and Gray bully her childhood self. Why hadn't Natsu noticed yet, that dense idiot? Giving dense couples a little push was Lucy's expertise (as you should have noticed earlier between Jellal and Erza) but she wasn't sure whether to help these two.
Why would she have an obligation to? Natsu had bullied her severely when she was a little girl, and had even resurfaced painful, painful memories of her mother. Sighing and leaning back again, she spotted yet another undeveloped couple – Gajeel and Levy. Ever since Lucy had noticed these two, she had decided to put them in her 'Couples in Need of Help' list she had devised in her head. The muscly, rough-and tough delinquent didn't seem too scary to her – she just hadn't had the time to talk to him yet.
After the final periods of class had ended and the bell rang, Lucy had found her number 2 couple on the Couples in Need of Help list. Mirajane Strauss and Laxus Dreyer, seniors of the school. They had a tender relationship that was so casual and sweet that Mirajane herself, the matchmaker genius, had not noticed how different his personality was when he talked to her when compared to other people. Their little conversations were usually a little stiff, but Mira was a quite a talkative person and kept the conversation going.
What Laxus scowled at, however, was the amount of teasing she pushed forward between him and her younger sister, Lisanna. Laxus didn't find Lisanna attractive, so naturally, he hated it when Mira moved onto this topic. Due to his affection for the older sister, though, he endured it and politely told her to stop every time.
This place is a goldmine of couples, Lucy had thought in her head as she waited for Gray to grab his bag from his locker.
"Wanna walk around today?" Gray suggested, slinging his bag over his shoulder. He walked towards Lucy, intertwining their hands as they walked out of the school.
"Sure thing." Lucy squeezed his hand back unconsciously, making Gray smirk.
"I have a few places in mind – the Sakura park, The Aquarium, The Shopping Mall – though I'd prefer others over this one – the cinema - or maybe we could just go wherever." Gray used his fingers to count all the venues that he had listed in his head, turning towards Lucy to see which place she had decided on. her thinking face, consisting of a tilted head and a semi-pout, was quite cute, Gray had concluded.
It was so cute to him that he decided to kiss her on the cheek.
"Oi – hey!" Lucy had swat his face away from hers in the speed of light, but Gray was quicker. He dodged her hand and chuckled to himself, shoving his free hand in his pocket.
"How about….we go to the Zoo? I've only been there once, and it's been ages since I've been there," Lucy suggested. Gray tilted his head to the side and thought about it. During this time, Lucy thought it was time to take revenge and she quickly kissed him on the cheek, similar to what Gray did before.
"Oh – you sneaky little fox!" Gray laughed, making Lucy smirk and laugh with him. "Sure, let's go to the Zoo. I'll pick you up at…?" Gray trailed off, setting the signal that it was for Lucy to decide what time she wanted to go.
"11:00am."
"11 it is! I can't wait for our first date!" Gray mumbled to himself happily, not forgetting that Lucy was right beside him. She blushed heavily and turned away, but her ears, a little visible beneath her hair, were still as red as tomatoes.
"You're blushing~" Gray sang out, teasing her.
"Shut up."
Gray chuckled knowingly and squeezed their intertwined fingers. "I love you too."
