XxanimeaddictxX: I'm actually upset that I wrote him that way! haha. I really didn't want to make anyone OOC and there I go doing that to the focus character. Oh well. I hope that I'm writing him somewhat better... I haven't watched Shugo Chara in a while .
Haha I already have this whole story outlined and planned the issue is filling them in to make it interesting (which I think I failed to do in this chapter... Next one will be better though!) School Days was terrifying... that was just... who in their right mind can create something like that! I enjoy all of those themes but combined was just not necessary!
KAWAIIIILawliet: I think I got that idea from a dream... haha I don't remember. All I know is that I was going to have one chara be a vampire and I was so stuck on that cause I didn't want them to drink blood since well chara's are different. And hey! It ended up being dream dust thing... Haha still works though
XxxanimefanxxX: Well now I feel bad cause this wasn't soon... I wished it was sooner but gahhh I have no proper excuse except that my computer got corrupted and the folder that had the worst damage was the one with my Shugo Chara fanfiction stuff. I was so upset cause now I can't open them or delete the corrupted files from my computer -.-
But I mean... at least I didn't wait till next year to update... like the last few times... *sigh* I fail as a fanfiction author on updating properly. But I will get this story finish! I have this entire thing planned out till the very last chapter and a sequel so this trilogy will get done! XD

Chapter 4: Progress Made
"How's your shugo chara…" The name evaded Yuuki's tongue and mind.
"Yoru. I believe he's asleep." Ikuto pulled him out of his pocket to see little sparkles and glitter dust his hand and the chara's body. "What… what is this?" He set Yoru down on his lap and rubbed his fingers together, examining the dust.
"It's dream dust." She said simply.
"Dream dust?"
"It's not an easy topic to explain. Dream dust is a collection of a person's dream that are materialized in a way as dream particles, which can form shugo chara eggs and is also the blood of shugo charas." Ikuto still gave me a confused look and I released a sigh before continuing on my explanation. "Basically, that's what Gozen warned you about. Making sure I don't cross the line…myself, at rare occasions, and Yuugure, being my vampire-chara, drink dreams."

"...drink dreams?" Ikuto's face contorted into a look of horror. Yuuki noticed his face expression and slowly raised her head from his lap and switched to a seated position adding a little space between their bodies. His mind was stuck, thinking about what he was just informed, how his precious childhood friend became like this, and what he should say next.
The two pawns just sat there, quiet in the tension that was formed minutes ago. Neither one comfortable saying a word. A few year long minutes went by till a hushed voice broke through.
"How do you feel?" Midnight blue eyes just stared out into the open space in front of him, looking but not really seeing. Yuuki looked at him with blank eyes. "How do you feel... knowing that you drink people's dreams?" Ikuto worded carefully before looking straight into her dull golden honey eyes. Yuuki felt something snap inside of her.
"What?" Ikuto noticed the slightest quiver in her voice and the millisecond flash of confusion that appeared in her eyes. He knew he was getting to her and forced himself to press painfully deeper into the question.
"Time after time, knowing that's what you do for your life as a puppet for Easter, how do you feel about it? Knowing that you kill someone's dream?" He wanted to run. Wanted to end this painful conversation but stayed and searched her eyes.
Yuuki found herself actually shocked. She has never thought about that, much less has ever been asked that. She found herself- gone. Whatever that feeling was, was gone.
"It's my job. I can't let stray thoughts and emotions get in the way of what I'm supposed to do." Her eyes glazed over back to it's original blank expression.
Ikuto sighed in defeat and stood up his back facing her, readying himself and shake off the sappy being he quickly became due to her.
"We should go now. It's getting late, I can take you back to... wherever you live."
"I can handle myself."
"I don't doubt it but I can't let my darling partner get lost now can I?" He looked at her with teasing eyes.
"Fine, but only until I can navigate properly around the place."
"Can't do that love, I am baby sitting you per orders of the Director."
"Still can't believe they set me up with you." She walked on ahead of him and he casually followed a little ways behind.
"Deep down you know you enjoy being with me." He continued to play on and caught up to her with a mischievous glint in his eyes he let his arm rest casually around her shoulders.
"Lies." She shrugged him off and took a faster pace.
Ikuto let out a small sigh that anything between them won't be awkward anymore, at least not to him. Though he can't say the same for the sleeping neko-chara that was in his pocket.

The two reached the now quiet and desolate park. Everyone had left to go to their respected homes now that it was nearly midnight. The streetlights gave off a feint glow that lighted their path and navigated them out of the park. Ikuto suddenly chara-changed and his cat ears twitched. He swiftly dragged Yuuki into a nearby bush and covered her mouth from protesting but was removed due to a slight throbbing on his palm.
"You bit me!" He quietly hissed.
"Yes I did, and I'll do it again if I need to."
The two suddenly stopped their little bickering and noticed an X-egg floating away quiet fast. Suddenly coming up behind it was a girl in a pink cheer leader outfit and whipped out her baton
"Spiral Heart!" The boomerang type rod paralyzed the X-egg with pink sparkles. The girl suddenly made a heart with her hands out in front of her. "Negative Heart-Lock on! Open Heart!" And a -pink- sparkle beam shot out from a locket that she wore and hit the X-egg and purified it allowing it freedom to find it's owner.
"Desu~ Amu-chan! You... could've... waited... for us!" A green shugo chara floated by her accompanied by a blue and yellow one.
"I'm sorry Suu, Miki, Dia! I just didn't want it to get away and cause more problems." The pinkette undid her chara-nari and she appeared in a light blue hoodie and jeans with a pink chara.

Yuuki stared in disbelief. She had to report this. Another girl with four charas though she temporarily set the thought aside to continue explaining to her assigned partner "Basically, that's what Gozen warned you about. "Neh Ikuto..." The vampire pawn looked to her side to see noone. "Ikuto!" She hissed. Yuuki looked back at the scene to see the perverted cat sneak up behind the pinkette.

"Boo." Ikuto puffed air in his victim's ear.
The poor girl screamed so loud that someone probably called the police to report a kidnap or possibly rape. The latter was more likely to happen with a certain someone involved.
"Creeper stalker! What the hell was that!" Amu yelled. Suddenly taking a few steps back and got into a fighting position. "Ge-get away from me, I know martial arts!"
"Relax kid, I'm not going to do anything to you... yet." Ikuto mused.
"Amu-chan, he has a chara with him as well, be careful." The blue chara warned.
"Thanks Miki." The pinkette looked at her Chara reassured though she looked back at Ikuto with fire in her eyes.
"So how is it that you have four chara's hmm? It's quite near impossible every has one, a few have two but anymore is particularly rare." Ikuto took a few steps closer to her then Yuuki decided to step in.
"Tsukiyomi. Stop right now. You're scaring the poor girl with your-quite poor-seduction skills." She came out from the bush and appeared behind Amu's front started to waiver a bit with the appearance of another stranger.
"I didn't think you'd care all that much Yuuki-koi." Ikuto brought a hand up to his heart and feigned loving care.
"Don't call me that."
"I'm wounded at your bitter words." Ikuto dramatically looked away from her.
Yuuki ignored the alley cat and looked at Amu. The first thing she noticed were the eyes. Almost the same as her own but just a few shades lighter. Also her eyes were filled with innocence and purity, something that was and would be forever lost to the cold hearted pawn. "Go home. Now." She near commanded the stranger.
"Wha..."
"I said 'Go Home' unless you want us to interrogate you." The icy voice bit through Amu's ears and she nodded before running down the street.
"Why did you let her-" Ikuto looked at me with confusion swirling in his eyes and... was that hope?
"I need to report to the director anyway. We'll find out just exactly what we should do with her especially since she can purify X-eggs."
Ikuto nodded at her statement. Another reason why he doesn't like Easter. He has to follow orders and be led around like a house pet on a very short leash.
"Come on. I still need to escort you to where ever you're living at." He sighed again in frustration.
"Was there a house that was recently bought near yours? Or an apartment?" Yuuki asked,
"The one across the street in fact... Gozen sure planned this."
"As always."
In silence they walked once again to their "homes." Neither said a word of what they were thinking nor did they want the other to hear. Their silence was neither comfortable nor awkward but just suitable for the turmoil that was brewing in their minds. Not too long after they reached their destination and Ikuto walked her to her door. A key was found underneath a welcome mat.
"This is where I leave you now hime. I'll be across the street if you need anything, just climb up the balcony." He lifted her hand and lightly kissed the back of it before turning around and heading to his own loving bed.
Yuuki stood there for a while looking down at her hand not knowing what to think and yet unknown to her, two eggs that were hidden and tucked away into a box soon began to change from a blank black egg to a faint colourization of their respected designs.
AN: So here's this. Bit of Ikuto's more sly perverted self. There will be more to come now that poor Yuuki is living across the street from Ikuto.
So I have to search my house to find my outline of this story... I actually had all of it planned out from beginning to end and I lost it... Luckily I still remember enough to re-write it if I can't find the original.
