A/N
Yo guys! I'm sorry if this chapter is shorter than the others. Well, it's because I suddenly lost interest in Naruto... anyway.. here it is!Oh, and be warned, this is an unedited chapter.. UNEDITED! DUNDUN!And don't worry I'll finish this story.
Deidara, Sasori and I walked the sandy deserts of Suna, and boy was it hot! We stopped in front of the hidden village's humongous gate as a guard scurried forward and bowed down to Sasori.
"Welcome back, Sasori-sama." He greeted and looked up at the puppeteer respectfully. "We have waited for your return."
I smirked at Sasori. "Nice. You actually had a spy here? That's just... neat."
Deidara snorted. "He is a strong shinobi after all, yea."
I raised my eyebrows. "That doesn't even have to do with anything."
Sasori snapped at us. "Shut up brats!" He turned around and looked at the spy once more. "The kazekage?"
"Ah. In his office, Sasori-sama. He is completely unaware."
Sasori nodded. "Good. Deidara, Midori, get your ass on the clay bird and scurry off."
Deidara quickly molded some clay and hopped on top of it. "Let's go, Midori-chan, yea."
I shook my head. "Nah, I'll be good." I bit my thumb and did some hand signs. "Kuchiyose: Tsuki!"
The big owl appeared in a puff of smoke. "What do you want brat?"
I shrugged. "Nothing much, just a ride." I hopped onto her back and she sailed into the sky.
"So, where are you going brat?" She asked impatiently.
"To the kazekage building. Fly higher Tsuki, or else we'll be seen. And stop saying brat, you sound like Sasori." I told the huge annoying owl of mine.
She clacked her beaks in annoyance. "Such a demanding owner." She flapped her wings and sailed higher into the sky. "Do we have to follow that bomber as well?"
"Hn? Ah, oh, yes of course." She flew closer to Deidara's bird, and not too long after, we landed on top of the kazekage building.
I hopped off of Tsuki and looked around. "All right! Where is that-"
"Who are you?" A cold voice suddenly spoke behind us.
I whipped around and saw the glaring form of the kazekage. "Ah.. Sabaku no Gaara."
He glared at us. "What are you doing in my village."
I laughed. "To collect you, of course!"
He summoned sand and sent it spiraling towards me. "Oh? I don't think it will be easy for you."
I smiled and put my hand over my mouth. "Oh really? Suiton: Mizu kenju!" (Water bullet)
The water sprayed all over the sand and turned it into a huge sloppy mess. "Well, I don't think it will be easy for you as well, Kazekage-sama."
I laughed cheerfully as he sent another wave of sand towards me and I quickly jumped out of the way, causing the sand to smash on the roof.
"However, I will leave you to my friend over there." I jumped on top of Tsuki and waved goodbye to Deidara. "Have fun!"
Tsuki flapped her wings and soared just above the kazekage building. I sat on top of her, watching the fight in interest.
Deidara sent wave after wave of explosions but Gaara effectively shielded himself with his sand. Deidara flew on his clay bird and started molding more explosives, a huge hand made of sand started to reach to him but he quickly steered the bird away.
I looked at them and sighed. "I think this is gonna be a loooooong fight."
Tsuki took a sharp dive downwards. "Then you should help him then!"
"Tsuki, what-!" She dived down so fast that I was pried away from her, I spiraled down into the ground and I was certain that I'll end up as a blood stain on the streets, but thankfully, Deidara caught me.
Deidara looked at me weirdly. "What's with that owl, yea?"
I hissed. "Beats me." I jumped down and landed on top of the roof. "Ne, ne Kazekage-sama, enough games I think."
He just snarled at me. "Stop talking as if you can defeat me."
I chuckled. "Well, stop acting as if you can defeat me."
I did a couple of hand seals and held my hand towards him. "Mizu Hana!" (Water blossoms/flower) Sharp water projectiles came shooting towards him. He raised his sand in defense, but my attack, being water, hacked it's way through.
He looked at the thin stream of blood running down his arm in shock. "Impossible... I've never been hurt before... not since the chuunin exams.."
I grinned. "Well, there's a difference between before and now, aren't there?"
He gritted his teeth. "I will not let you take me." He held out his hand towards me and his other hand did a single hand sign. "Sabaku.. kyuu!"
Sand crept it's way towards me and enveloped my body. He tightened the sand's grip and my body felt like I'm inside a cement tube. "I will... crush you, Akatsuki."
"Midori-chan!"
"Don't Deidara! This fight is mine now."
"I will kill you..." He said as he tightened the sand around me. "... rouge ninja."
I chuckled despite the pain. "Good luck with that then, Suiton: Taki!" (Waterfall) A huge torrent of water came crashing down on me and the sand restraining me melted away.
I grinned at him. "That, my friend, is an attack I invented for escaping sand and fire attacks. The jutsu that doesn't need hand seals. Marvel at the power of water, jerk." (Please Gaara lovers, don't get offended! I love him too! It's for the story!)
He clenched his jaws and rushed towards me, sending spikes made of sand hurtling towards me. "Sunahari!" (Sand needles)
I laughed crazily. "Is that all you've got?! Mizu Kabe!" (Water wall) I did another round of hand seals. "Suiton: Nami!" (wave) A huge wave of water rushed towards the young kage, he tried to jump out of the way so I did another jutsu.
"Suiton: Suiren!" (water lily) A huge spinning disc made of water appeared behind the kazekage and sent him hurtling back towards the direction of the giant wave.
The attack hit him and he was sent flying towards the other end of the roof. I made my way towards him and stepped on his stomach. "Sand is weaker than water, accept your loss and come with us peacefully, or... let's just say, I have a few more tricks up my sleeve."
Gaara coughed. "I will not... give up."
"Midori!" Deidara shouted behind me. "Quit playing around!"
I sighed. "Yea, yea." I turned again to Gaara. "I'll ask you again-"
"No."
I glared at him. "You're pretty tough, huh. Okay, suffer then, trash. Mizu kyu!" (water sphere) A huge sphere made of water enveloped around the young kage, soaking his sand in water and rendering it useless.
I released the technique and his body fell down, unconscious. "Tch. Useless."
I tried to walk away when suddenly, a large explosion rang in my ears. "Deidara, what was that for?!"
He shrugged. "Well, you didn't let me fight so, yea."
"Look what you did, you caught him in the explosion!"
"Whatever, yea."
"Hmph. Jerk." I muttered and hauled Gaara's limp body on Deidara's clay bird and I headed towards Tsuki.
"Let's go, Deidara. Before the guards catch us." Tsuki took off into the sky and Deidara flew next to me.
"Uh-huh, or before Sasori dragged us back, yea." He muttered quietly, just loud enough for me to hear.
I chuckled softly. "Yea, that too."
~~~
After we got back to the base, we simply gave the limp body of the young kage to Leader, then the two left to prepare for the extraction. I simply made my way towards the forest, taking guard.
It's been 3 days already and I'm getting tired of just sitting around here, and that's when I felt a faint glimmer of chakra. I quickly hid my chakra signature and sensed the chakra I felt earlier.
It felt vaguely familiar... it feels.. like a tailed beasts...but.. stronger...
I concentrated harder and I could finally sense the orange chakra, nine swirling tails behind it.
The nine tailed beast's...
