A female sat alone inside a small, dark room. Sighing, she brushed her hair away from her eyes and caressed her cold arms.
"Man," She sighed, closing her eyes and dragging her feet out of bed, rummaging inside a drawer. "what a drag.."
Her blue eyes glinted mischievously as she picked up a summoning scroll, pressed her blood on it and watched in fascination as the scroll that the Hokage is looking for appeared right there in her hands.
Aoi giggled mischievously while hugging the scroll to her chest. For her, that is the most precious thing in the world, because it brought back the two person that is most important to her.
She is happy, because the persons that is most precious to her is happy. She promised that she will not get caught from her crime, because it will sure make the two of them upset.
Yes, she can use that scroll without a problem, she came from the same clan who forged it after all.
The woman walked towards the window, sighing she looked up at the sky. "You're outburst... from that time... it's.. priceless."
Flashback
Aoi, sweating heavily looked down at the two now breathing bodies that are laid across her feet. When she first got the bodies, the corpses are a complete mess. But now that the jutsu has finally worked, they were back to their former forms.
She smiled triumphantly, and collapsed on her knees. "Finally."
She wasn't tired, she was exhausted, very very exhausted.
The two's eyes began to move, and later on, they both opened their eyes slowly.
"A-Aoi?" Midori asked shakily, while Itachi just looked at their surroundings confusedly.
Then suddenly, the green eyed female burst into tears while the male beside him starts comforting her.
"A-aoi.. I'm.. I'm sorry.. I'm so so sorry.. What happened? Where are we? Isn't this-?"
"Isn't this the forest near the border?" Itachi asked the woman standing in front of them.
The former just smiled and nodded. "Yes, it's hard work you know? Bringing your bodies here."
"Wait," Midori raised her hands in protest. "We're dead... how can this be? Even so, if this is our bodies it should be-"
"Rotten, I know." Aoi sighed and put her hands in her sister's shoulders. "I revived you."
"What?" Itachi turned to look at her. "How?"
Aoi smiled and reached for the scroll tucked in her back. "Here, here, I just got this yesterday. It's a special jutsu scroll that is made by our clan a long time ago. People thought that our clan is extinct though. Well yes, but..." She hugged her sister and stuck out her tongue. "We're still here, ne?"
Midori tried to shrug her sister off, complete shock and disbelief written in her face. "Aoi you idiot! You don't have to! Itachi and I are already happy in the place where we went after we died!"
"She's right, you'll just get into trouble you know? Stealing that scroll just like that. Hiw did you even get your hands on it?" Itachi added worriedly, completely agreeing with his, ahem, girlfriend.
"Ah," Aoi ran her slender fingers through her hair tiredly. "I just.. caught them under a very, heavy genjitsu. I can't even explain what happened myself though. It just... happened."
"But what if-"
"No worries, they don't even suspect me. I made them think that a criminal organization stole it."
"Even so!''
"Well it's worth it, because I get to see you alive again! It's all for the sake of reviving the both of you..."
"Well, you don't have to!" Midori exclaimed, frustrated.
Aoi just crossed her arms and furrowed her brows. "Oh? So you mean the whole year I spent hopping around village to village making people forget about you two is all for naught?"
"What?!" Midori exclaimed and punched her sister in the arm, sending her flying. "Are you crazy?!"
"Yes! Maybe I am!" Aoi shouted. "I want to give you guys another chance to live! I'm giving you a chance to be normal people, not international and wanted criminals!
"I am giving you a chance to build a family, to have children, to be with your loved ones! Well, Itachi, Sasuke forgot about you as his brother though. But! But, you can still be happy with him!
"I am giving you another chance in life, to do everything you couldn't do before.. Don't you just want it?" Aoi exclaimed, smiling through her tears. "I've already tried fixing your wrongs for you guys, so what do you say? Do you want this chance or not?"
Midori just close her eyes tight and breathed in sharply. "I do. I want it." Itachi reached out to hold Midori's hand and then gave it a squeeze. "I want it too."
Smiling, Aoi showed them a map. "I thought so, Here," She said and pointed at the place that is encircled. "You'll find a house there. That's where you'll live until I finish my job here in konoha. Until then, you have to live there."
"See you." Aoi waved at them, smiled one more time, and then disappeared in a cloud of smoke, leaving the couple behind.
End of flashback
The next morning, Aoi was happy. Because finally, finally her beloved sister will come back to the village. She had shopped early that day, heading towards her sister's house.
She has already prepared a house just a few houses down from hers. And it was perfect, no one still suspected that it was her who stole the scroll.
Heck, no one even remembers about that scroll anymore.
"Aoi-chan!"
Aoi turned around and saw Kakashi giving her a closed eye smile. "Ah, Kakashi-kun, what is it? Need anything?"
He just put his hands in his pockets and shrugged. "Nothing much, heard there's a couple who will move here in the village. Heard they were ex-ninjas from a fallen village too."
"Ah," Aoi smiled brightly. "Oh, yes. They're going to be my neighbors actually." She let out a breezy laugh and tucked her hair behind her ear. "Sooo, how's life, ne?''
"Ahahaha. Nothing much, just you know..." Kakashi trailed off, scratching the back of his neck while obviously blushing. "Ahem."
Nerves popped in Aoi's forehead. "You stupid pervert!" She began hitting Kakashi on the head over and over again. "Baka! You were reading old Jiraiya's novels again aren't you?! Baka! Baka!"
"Ah! Ouch! Y-yamete (stop) Aoi-chan!"
Aoi released still hadn't released his ear, she was dragging him towards Midori's house. "Shut up!"
"Hey! I'm older than you by eight years you know?"
"I don't care! And it's seven, I just had my birthday last month."
Aoi finally released his ear after she stopped in front of her sister's ear. "We're here!"
Kakashi rubbed his swollen ear, cursing silently. "And where are we exactly?"
Aoi just 'humphed' at him. "This is my friend's soon-to-be house. They're moving in today. She wrote to me and I told her that once she arrived, a whole meal will be waiting for her."
Her male companion just looked at her boredly. "And so? And why am I here then? Don't tell me that I'll be here to help you."
The female just smiled evilly and clapped her hands, all the while giving out an evil aura. "Exactly!"
"Dammit.." Kakashi swore. "I knew it. I shouldn't have greeted you."
So, in the next few hours, both of them are busy and occupied in the kitchen. And by the time they were done, they hurried and placed the meal on the plain table.
The house still haven't had that much decoration, though it is already fully furnished though. However, Aoi have to bring the kitchen and dining utensils since the house have none.
"So," Aoi said, sitting down on one of the chairs, Kakashi following her example. "Did you know that Jiraiya is horribly, madly in love with Tsunade?"
Kakashi choked. "R-really?"
"Yup." She raised her finger as if making a point. "Since their genin days. The only thing that I don't get is, why not tell her how he feels?"
Kakashi shrugged. "Maybe he just chickened out, or maybe because he knows Tsunade-sama will react violently to this, or maybe.." His eyes darted across the room. "or.. or maybe, he's just afraid that.. she won't feel the same way.."
"Huh.." Aoi replied. "I guess so. But still-!"
And at that same moment, the door opened, revealing a couple carrying a heavy load of baggage.
Well, actually, Itachi is carrying them all.
The two of them smiled real wide.
"Tadaima..."
(I'm home.)
