Dean pressed down again on Sam's chest and was about to start mouth to mouth when Sam gasped back to life. "Dean," He exclaimed weakly, "One of the creatures, they're here, it -"

"It's alright," Dean assured him, "I got him. You okay?"

"Yeah, now I am," Sam said, letting Dean help him to his feet.

After that there weren't any other incidents. When they finished searching the town, they headed back to Kansas to get Red and Alice. Sam pulled his phone to let them know they were coming.

Red woke up at the sound of her cell phone ringing. After Dean had left had laid down next to Alice and despite the danger, soon fell asleep. Now, looked over at the clocked and saw it was 8:30 in the A.M. She picked up the phone in answered it. "Yeah?" Red said groggily.

"Red, it's Sam," Sam answered, "We got them."

Red was now fully awake. "All of them?" She asked, her voice speeding up.

"Yeah, all of them," Sam, "It's over. We're coming to get you right now."

"And you?" Red asked, "Are-are you guys okay?"

"Yeah," Sam replied, "Somehow we got out without even a scratch on us. We should be there about an hour, give or take."

"Okay then," Red said, "I'll get Alice up. See you in a little bit."

"You too," Sam said, then hung up.

"Everything okay over there?" Dean asked.

"Yeah," Sam said, "They were still asleep."

"Good," Dean said, "They've had a long day. We all have."

Sam stared out the window for a minute, then said, his eyes not leaving the roving scenery, "Dean you really think we got them all?"

"We searched the whole town and got everyone we saw," Dean said."

"That's the point Dean," Sam said, "It was just one town. How do we know that there's not more of these creatures in other towns?"

Dean got very quiet. Sam had a point. Monsters didn't just pop up out of nowhere. Well, they did at once, but that was years ago, and they had killed Eve. "Well," Dean said, at last, "At least we have some advantage, we know at least some of their weaknesses, and if anyone else encounters these things, we can tell them what to do."

"That's something at least," Sam said, looking back out the window.

In an hour they were at the bunker. Dean and Sam got out and went inside to find Red and Alice in the library. And found Alice reading a thick, leather-bound book with a title so fancily written they had no idea what it was. Whatever it was, she was so engrossed in it, that she didn't look up when Sam and Dean came in. Red shook her shoulder saying, "Ally, honey, the brothers are here to take us back."

Then she put the book down and looked up. "Hi." She said.

"Hey, Alice," Dean said watching Red and Alice get up from the table.

"Whatcha reading there?" Sam asked, somewhat worried at what the child might have found.

"A book about dragons," Alice said.

"Don't worry, I checked it for content before I let her read it," Red said as they walked up to the guys, "I hope it's okay that she got into your books."

"Not a problem at all," Dean said, "Now let's get you two home."

The ride back to Salem's Rock was mostly quiet, Red keeping Alice entertained in the back, while Sam and Dean just both looked at the road. Until suddenly in the middle of a game of cat's cradle, Alice piped up with, "Why did we have to go to Sam and Dean's?"

They all turned to look at her. Then a car nearly hit them then Dean turned back around to look at the road.

"What do you mean, sweetie?" Red asked.

"You said we had to go but you never why," Alice said, "What were we hiding from?"

"Why do you think you were hiding from anything?" Dean asked.

"Why else would we have to go suddenly?" Alice replied.

They were all quiet for a minute, because the kid had asked a very good question. At last Red said, "Well, baby-Alice, you're old enough to understand this so I'm just gonna come out and say it: there were these-things after us, and Sam and Dean wanted us to be safe while they took care of it, and that's why Dean took us to their place."

Alice was quiet for a moment, processing the information, then said, "And we're safe now?"

"Yeah, baby," Red said, "We're safe now."

Sam and Dean exchanged looks, but said nothing.

"But what if they come back?" Alice asked.

Out of the mouths of babes and suckling's can sometimes caused adults' blood to run cold. And in this case, it did.

"That isn't gonna happen, Ally," Red said, "Sam and Dean got rid of them all, right, Dean?"

"Yeah, " Dean said, nodding trying to get Sam's words out of his head, "That's right kid, you got nothing to worry about."

Soon afterwards they pulled into Red's driveway. Red and Alice got out of the car, Red holding their suitcase. "Thanks guys," Red said, leaning down at the window, "For everything."

"Don't mention it," Dean said, "It's our job."

"And ah, if something like this happens again..." Red's voice trailed off.

"You'll be the first to know," Dean said, "After us of course."

"No problem," Dean said. And with that Red walked up to the front porch where Alice was waiting.

"Strong woman that one," Dean commented as they pulled out of the drive.

Alice ran into the house the second Red opened the door. Red walked into the bathroom, took a towel out of the cabinet, and covered up her mirror then proceeded to do so with the rest of the house.

Sam and Dean did the same thing when they got back to the bunker. And they didn't uncover the mirrors for a month.

AN: That's all folks. I don't really feel this is one of my best works, but I hope everyone who read it enjoyed it. Thanks for tuning in, and remember...be very careful when looking into a mirror. Or talking aloud. Anyhow, happy Memorial Day everybody!
