Everyone, meet the new Tohru. This chapter will be in her point of view. See what she does that is totally not like her to do if she was human. And there will be some dialogue taken from the second part of Breaking Dawn. Enjoy.
Thank you Black Veil Brides for inspiring me to stay strong, to stay out of trouble and to never give in. God Bless You!
As soon as I opened my eyes, I could see everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. It was all so very clear, even when I caught sight of Kyo. He was standing there smiling at me and holding out his hand waiting for me to lay mine on it. In a good way I felt strange, because I didn't feel weak and tired, hungry or out of breath. I walked over to Kyo who led me to a nearby mirror.
All I could do was smile at my new features; my red eyes, and my newly blond hair. I liked the fact it almost looked completely white and bits of mahogany within. But my throat felt dry, even Kyo could the tension of it.
"Tohru, you need to hunt," he said. Within seconds, we were both out the door running through the woods by the estate. I'd never been able to run this fast before, I've never been a good runner, but this; this was bliss. I could see far into the distance, I could even hear every bit of nature all around me, and I could pick up all the different smells, including a nearby animal. This was my time to shine.
I smelled a human somewhere, but I ignored the smell of the human blood and focused on the animal. Kyo was amazed when I pounced, and also shocked.
"I have never seen anything like that," he said. "You ignored human blood, made hunt, that's rare."
"I wanted to see what I'm now capable of doing," I said. Kyo smiled and kissed me.
"You wanna meet Katsuya?" he asked. As soon as I heard that, I could only smile at the fact I was also now a mom. I nodded, knowing my baby boy must be waiting for me. We walked inside, and I could hear Katsuya making some soft noises though I couldn't see him because of the crowd of Sohmas standing there. Akito of course was the first to greet me.
"Welcome to the family," she said. I smiled at her.
"You look amazing Tohru," said Kagura, and I gave her a thank you smile.
"Someone's been waiting to meet you," said Ren who stepped aside just as Rin turned around, and in her arms was my little Katsuya. He smiled as soon as he saw me; I almost melted when I saw his adorable little face and took him in my arms. As he looked at me, he uttered one little word…Mama. I was really surprised.
"He was born just yesterday and he spoke," I said as took a peak into his mouth, "and he has teeth."
"He's a fast grower," said Akito. "The potency of fertilization was spot on. He was born yesterday, June 24th, so by the 24th of next month, he'll be fully grown. Although I gotta tell you, he's already starting to look like a handsome little guy."
I had to agree with Akito, Katsuya was a handsome little boy.
"You should see what he can do," Akito continued. "Look at the bookshelf."
I looked over at the nearby bookshelf, and noticed something missing when I saw a pile of sand on the ground.
"The plant's gone," I stated.
"Katsuya did that," said Akito. "He touched the plant and turned it to stone, and when he took his hand away it turned to sand."
"I does he know how to do that?" I asked. Akito let out a small laugh.
"How can Kyo hear from miles away? How does Momiji control gravity? How can I communicate telepathically? He's gifted."
I was amazed to hear my baby was gifted, let alone a gift that was very useful.
"It seems you have a gift aswell," Akito went on. "Kari can't see through you; you're a shield."
"We've never had one of those in our family," said Haru. Just as I looked up at him, he collapsed.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to," I said.
"It's okay," Haru replied.
"It looks like you can also stun people," said Akito. "Seems you need some practice."
I agreed; so I handed Katsuya back to Rin and I got changed into different clothes. I thought since I'm now a vampire, I would go for a darker style, so I wore black skinny pants, a dark grey dress-like shirt and black ankle boots with a small heel. Kyo thought it suited me, and so did everyone else, so I decided it'll be the way I dress from now on. Once outside, the only thing to practice with was my shield; Akito told me I needed to visualize it, and picture it expanding beyond myself. I did what she said, and within seconds, my shield expanded.
I looked very interesting in the way of visibility not only to myself, but to the others aswell. It looked more like a force field than a shield. It expanded to the point that when it touched Ayame, he got thrown right off of his feet.
"I'm truly sorry," I said, even after him reassuring he was fine. Akito was amazed.
"I've never seen a shield like that before," she said. "You can use it with your stunning talent aswell, and it's something you have to control for a while; I got a call from your grandfather while you were still unconscious, apparently he saw your incident from last night on the news this morning, and he wants to make sure you're okay, so he's going to be here in a half an hour along with your aunt and cousins. You need to prepare yourself."
I was shocked to hear that, especially since it's my aunt and cousins who treated me more like a burden than family; and in truth I really wanted to see my grandfather. He treated me like family, both me and Mom and I love him for it just as he loved me, even when he told me I can stay with the Sohmas so I wouldn't have to put up with my aunt and cousins.
"What do I need to prepare myself?" I asked.
"Blue eye contacts which I already have for you," Akito replied, "but the main thing is you need to not move so fast, hold your breath to control your thirst but move your shoulders to make it look like you're breathing and blink a few times a minute."
I gave all those things a try, it seemed simple enough, and I got used to the contacts very quickly. Although I was pacing back and forth, wondering what I was going to say to my grandfather, however I knew what I was going to say to my aunt and cousins.
"Nervous?" asked Kyo.
"A little," I answered. "I don't really know what to say to Grandpa yet, but I do intend to give my aunt and cousins a piece of my mind."
"Tohru, you sound angry," said Kyo after he heard those last few words in a bad tone.
"I am angry," I said, "angry at the fact my aunt and cousins treated me poorly and said I was like my mom; like mother like daughter they called me."
Just as I heard a car pull into the estate, I calmed myself down, sat down with Kyo and waited. Akito escorted Grandpa and the others into the room, I started to tense up when I saw my aunt and cousins, I felt ready.
"Tohru," said Grandpa quietly.
"Hi," said to him, and then I nodded to Kyo and Akito reassuring them it was okay to leave, so they did. "Could I have a minute please Grandpa? So I could talk to these guys alone."
He nodded and I reassured him I would talk to him after, so he left the room. I gave my aunt and cousins a not so happy look as I stood up and crossed my arms.
"Why did you come?" I asked. They were confused.
"For the same reason your grandfather came," my aunt replied, "to see if you were alright."
"Hmph! Why would you want to see if I was alright after the way you've treated me for most of my life, hmm? I am NOT like my mother, I am my own self! I have no criminal record, and I was never the one to do bad to others, instead; others did bad to me, like you guys! You accused me of something I didn't do; you always thought my mother was at fault for my father's death when really it wasn't! He loved her as she loved him, and they both loved me to no end!"
By that point I was really angry, and they knew it.
"Yeah you better be sorry," I continued, "because I'm grown up now, and you're probably wondering where Grandpa went a few months ago, aren't you? Well if you must know, he went to my wedding, yes I'm married now! And I have a baby, so you better think twice about all the bullshit you threw on me! Now I'll let you know right now, I never want to see or speak to you ever again. Send in Grandpa."
Luckily they obeyed me and left the room. I sat down as Grandpa came in and sat down next to me.
"That was very brave of you," he said.
"Well, I know it's not like me to swear, but they had to hear me out," I answered. Grandpa smiled.
"Now I overheard you have a baby," he said. "How did that happen?"
I knew I had no choice but to lie.
"I was already over three months pregnant when I got married, it just wasn't noticeable yet," I answered. "Last night, the incident made me go into premature labour. His name is Katsuya, I named him after Dad, and he's such a handsome little boy."
He smiled at me, and the fact I was happy to let him know my little guy was named after his own son. Just before he left, I made a deal with him that I would call him every now and then to let him know how everything was going so I would have to come face to face with my aunt and cousins again. Only just a few minutes after they left, Akito informed me I had two more visitors and that they were desperate to see me; there are only two people I know who would be that desperate…Uo and Hana.
"Tohru are you alright?" asked Uo as she gave me a bear hug. "We heard on the news you were attacked."
"I'm fine you guys, really I am," I said.
"But Tohru you look a little different," said Hana.
She was right. I looked at Akito as if to ask if they should know, and she nodded.
"If I tell you what happened to me, promise you won't tell anyone," I said. They both nodded in agreement; so I turned around and took my contacts out. I turned back and opened my eyes. They were shocked.
"You're a…" said Uo.
"Go on, say it."
"A vampire."
"How?" asked Hana.
"The incident put me on the brink of death," I explained, "and Kyo saved me by turning me into a vampire. He's a half-mortal, so is Yuki, and lots of others here too. There are some vampires here too. Although before I was changed, something had to happen."
"What?" asked Uo.
"Be right back," I answered as I left the room, and then came back with Katsuya in my arms. "Hey."
They turned around and were surprised to see him.
"This is Katsuya."
"Is he yours?" asked Hana. I nodded. "And you named him after you father."
I nodded again.
"That's another reason why I was changed," I said, "because Kyo got me pregnant and I didn't know until last night, none of us did. The incident put me into labour, but it was worth it. Isn't he handsome?"
They nodded.
"Tohru I'm really starting to wish I was like you," Uo pouted.
"Talk to Kureno, he'll do the honours for you," I answered, "and Kazuma will do the same thing for you too Hana. However you will have to make some sacrifices, like leaving your families and making them think you've gone missing and never returned."
They agreed; and so they were changed within the hour, and I took them out for their first hunt and taught them everything they needed to know. Soon after, the sun began to set, and they remained with their partners while I spoke to Akito about a personal matter.
"There's something I've always wanted to do," I told her. "Remember that group of girls who picked on me in school and fantasized about Yuki?"
She immediately knew where I was going with this; I wanted to give them a piece of my mind, by killing them. So she took me to town as soon as it got dark and we search around the streets and I made sure I was well hidden as I caught sight of my first victim, Rika Aida. I waited a minute or two, and then I took off after her. She found herself on the ground looking up at me.
"Time for you to be scared of me now, Rika Aida."
She didn't have time to scream, because I had already bitten her, and I looked at her and watched her die, and then took off for the next one.
One down, three to go.
I found the next one, and threw her to the ground leaving her speechless.
"I am so sick of your bullshit you've put onto me since the beginning of high school Mio Yamagishi."
I bit her too, and she went within seconds.
Two down, two to go.
I heard the next one coming up an ally way; man did I ever hate this one. I ran up and pushed her over until she lay on her back staring at me as I walked towards her.
"I was fed up with your little friends, but I'm even more fed up with you, Minami Kinoshita."
I bit her after saying those words, and she had the look of fear in her eyes as she died.
Three down, one more to go.
The very last one was singing her heart out to what sounded like Taylor Swift songs, and I knew she would be singing them for Yuki. Bitch! I ran up to her, grabbed her throat and held her back against the wall.
"Shut up! Out of all the girls in the Prince Yuki fan club, you are the worst Motoko Minagawa. Leave Yuki alone."
"Tohru," Akito called out, "don't you think you're going a little too far?"
I threw Motoko to the ground.
"I'm just saving the best for last," I grinned.
"Well hurry it up, we gotta get home," said Akito.
"Coming," I answered as I ran over to Motoko and bit her too. The Prince Yuki fan club was now history, even Yuki, Uo, Haru and Kyo were happy to hear about it.
I have to admit, not getting tired, and not having to eat or drink anything was pure bliss, even Uo and Hana seemed to agree, especially with Hana's electric wave reading being stronger than ever, and they both seemed very interested in my gifts. They had lots of fun with Katsuya aswell; we tried to have as much fun with him as possible and soon enough we came to realize Akito was right, because July 24th came within the blink of an eye and Katsuya was already fully grown. It was just as we all expected, he was handsome, he had light brown hair, a mixture of Kyo's and my natural hair colour; he had brilliant blue eyes like I used to, he was sometimes stubborn like his father, but also very shy like I was, but he was very kind and caring and he loved to be around people once he got to know them. He was especially very close to Nami, Yuki and Machi's daughter who was born just two weeks after Katsuya, and she was gifted; she could turn things to ice and then it would evaporate along with the frozen object. It seemed almost as if Katsuya had found the love of his life, because Nami loved him too, and it was nearly impossible to separate them, we were all a big happy family.
Whew, that took a while. Yeah Tohru is badass isn't she? Hope you liked it. Another chapter is coming soon, and the rest of the story will be in normal point of view.
