The Diamond Family

Chapter 12: Healing

I'm super sorry about how long it took me to update. Please leave a review I love hearing what you have to say.

Perspectives: Snow, Hidan, Kakuzu, and Pain

Snow's Perspective

I woke huddled against Kakuzu's warm body. He was asleep by my side. I belong with him. I yawned and stretched. It was a wonderful sleep. No, nightmares only sleep. Without him, I wouldn't have slept have as well as I did. Kakuzu's tight grip around my waist stopped me from leaving bed. His breath tickled my neck and made me giggle. He kissed my neck.

"Morning",

"Where were you going?" asked Kakuzu.

"Only getting comfortable", I said.

I cuddled closer to him. I soon found myself dozing off.

"Did you enjoy last night?" asked Kakuzu.

"I did",

Soon I was asleep again. About an hour later I slipped out of Kakuzu's grasp. His hand searched for me in bed. I went to the bathroom and showered. The hot water felt wonderful against my skin. I stayed under the rain of water until it went cold. Something sparkling caught my attention. I reached for it. When I opened my hand, it revealed an expensive diamond ring. The ring's centerpiece was a blue diamond set in a frame of white diamond. It sat in a band of white gold. There was an inscription on the band. It read:

To the one who captured my heart

Why is this here? Who is for? Could it possibly be for me? I slid it onto my finger. It fit perfectly. Have I worn this before? I took it off. I should have never put it on in the first place.

Kakuzu's Perspective

I woke when I realized Snow was missing from my bed. Where was she? Did she leave?

"Snow?"

"Here", said Snow from the bathroom.

Relief swept over me. I knocked on the door.

"Can I come in?" I asked.

No answer. I opened the door. She was preoccupied to notice me.

"He would never ask me that", whispered Snow to herself.

I knocked on the door again. This time it seemed to get through to her.

"Can I come?" I asked.

"Yes",

Her sweet voice held a tone of sadness. What has caused her to sound like that? Snow sat on the bathroom counter. I stood next to her. Nothing seemed to be physically wrong with her. Then it's emotional, which can be more difficult to heal.

"What would I never ask?" I said.

"It's not important", said Snow.

She clutched something tightly in her hand.

"You can tell me", I said.

"It was a stupid thought", she said.

"I won't judge, Snow. Tell me what's on your mind", I said.

She's afraid of telling me. What does she fear? I won't judge her.

"What's in your hand?" I asked.

She opened her hand, revealing the ring Eiji gave her. I'd wonder what she'd done with it. I thought she'd thrown it away.

"Where did you find this?" I asked.

"On the floor", said Snow.

How could have possibly gotten there?

"I don't think is to me from you", said Snow.

Her voice was bitter. Then it hit me. Fuck!

"Snow, this isn't mine", I said.

Her shoulders sagged.

"Whose is it?" asked Snow.

"It's must have fallen out of one of the bags from my missions", I said.

"Oh",

I lead her to my desk and opened one of the bags. It was filled with jewelry. There was still hurt in her eyes. She dropped the ring into the bag.

"It really was a stupid thought", said Snow.

"It wasn't", I said.

"Would you ever ask me?" said Snow.

Her face pink with a light blush. It wasn't stupid. I'd actually briefly thought about it. She wants what every girl dreams of marrying the man she loves. I can't give her that. In another life maybe, but not this one. She's mine that will never change. I will always be loyal to her. It's best to give her honesty.

"In another life yes", I said.

"That's still no", said Snow.

"It's not that I don't want to", I said.

"THEN WHAT IS IT!" yelled Snow with rubies streaming down her eyes.

I hit a nerve that was normally kept hidden. But now that's it such a state it was left exposed.

"I can't give you that life. I can't give you a family. But I can give you my hearts and my loyalty. Is that enough?" I asked.

She took a deep breath.

"It's enough", said Snow.

Pain still lingered in her eyes.

"I'm so sorry, Snow", I said.

"For what?" she asked.

"For not being able to give you the life you deserve", I said.

I embraced her. She understood. I'd crushed her heart's dream yet she still accepted me. She's an amazing woman. Our conversation seemed to drain her.

"Kakuzu, you gave me a life I never thought I could have", she said.

Snow yawned loudly. She made herself comfortable in our bed, pulling the blankets over her head. I heard her crying. She needs time and space. I sat next to her. Guilt built in my chest. I hate this emotion. I was unused to feeling this way. An hour went by in silence.

"Please look at me", I said.

She peeked out from under the covers.

"Have you ever been married?" asked Snow.

I can't lie to her.

"Engaged", I said.

"Why could you marry her?" asked Snow.

"It was a different time", I said.

"That doesn't matter", said Snow.

"I was a different person then", I said.

"Was it Amai?" asked Snow.

"Yes", I said.

Her eyes dulled. Don't pull away.

"Tell me what you're feeling", I said.

"Numb", said Snow.

"How can I repair this?" I asked.

"Explain", said Snow.

My mind took me to the past.

Kakuzu's Flash Back

Amai cuddled closely to me. I have to ask.

"Close your eyes", I said.

"Why?" asked Amai.

"It's a surprise", I said.

She shut her eyes. I went down on one knee and took the ring from my pocket.

"Open your eyes", I said.

Her eyes went wide.

"Will you marry me?" I asked.

She tackled me to the ground. We kissed.

"YES!" she squealed.

I smiled and slid the ring onto her dainty finger. The moment was perfect, but it was soon ruined by the appearance of my teammate, Jiro. I never understood why were put on the squad. He was a jackass who never put thought into his action. Jiro thought himself better than because he was the eldest son a powerful ninja clan.

"I can't believe you actually agreed, Amai. You're making a mistake", he said.

I wished could kill the bastard. I've had countless opportunities, but most of the time I saved the idiot's life for the sake of my village.

"You're just jealous!" growled Amai.

"Why would I be jealous? I would never want someone's sloppy seconds", said Jiro.

Amai teared up. I charged at him. I punched him, sending the idiot fifty meter in the opposite direction. My foot was on his chest.

"Why are you here?" I asked.

"You've been assigned an s-ranked mission. It's so classified I don't even know what it is", said Jiro.

"Only a fool would trust you with important information. Now leave before I further lose my temper", I said.

He didn't press his luck further. I was informed of my mission. My assignment was to assassinate the Hokage. Before I left I had to say goodbye to Amai. There's a chance I won't return from this mission. I returned home. Amai had already moved into my small home. I stepped through the front door. She was in the kitchen singing as she cooked. When she saw me, she hugged me tightly.

"What's wrong Kuzu?" asked Amai.

"I have to go on a mission it's extremely dangerous", I said.

"Please don't say anymore just try and come home to me", said Amai.

"I'll try", I said.

The mission was a failure. Hashirama's wood release had proven to be too much. I don't even know how I managed to escape. My body ached. I collapsed at the village entrance. When I regained consciousness I was chained. Chakra seals were written on the floor around me. My arms were chained. I was in a prison cell. Why am I here?! Jiro stood at the door of my cell. There was a cocky smile on his face. I wanted to rip it off. I pulled against chains.

"Not even you can break those chains", said Jiro.

"Why am I here?" I asked.

"The famous Kakuzu coming back in failure it's almost too good to believe", said Jiro.

"Why I am here?" I asked again.

"This is the punishment for your failure. You'll spend the rest of your life here. And your beautiful bride will be mine", said Jiro.

I've served my village loyally all my life and even put my life at risk and this is how they repay me! Anger surged through my body. The chains broke. I bent the bars of the door and walked through the gap. I killed Jiro with ease. This is no village of mine. I will make them suffer for doing this to me. Next are the elders and their jutsu. I killed the elders and took my time with them. I stole their hearts now there is power mine. I can't stay here. There's only one more person I have to see. I saw Amai sitting by the fireplace I heard her crying.

"Kuzu!" she yelled.

She hugged me tightly.

"Jiro, told me you wouldn't come back", said Amai.

"You know better than to listen to that idiot", I said.

"Kuzu, why do you have more than one heart and why do you reek of blood?" asked Amai.

She backed away from and turn on the light. When she saw her eyes filled with fear.

"What did you do?" asked Amai.

The fear in her voice was so apparent. I never wanted her to be afraid of me.

"This village wanted to imprison for the rest of my for failing a mission that I risked my life on. So I took care of the problem and now we have to leave", I said.

"What do mean by taken care of the problem?" asked Amai.

"You know what I mean", I said.

"You killed the elders and I'm guessing Jiro too", said Amai.

I nodded.

"What happened to the man I fell in love with?!" asked Amai.

"It's still me", I said.

"No, you've changed, Kakuzu!" yelled Amai.

She backed away from me.

"Part of the reason why I did was so we could be together", I said.

"I don't want to be with the monster you are now", said Amai.

Those words hurt more than any pain I've felt in my life. Amai was crying.

"I'm not a monster for betraying my heart. This is for the best. Having someone like you is only a weakness. You were nothing more than a distraction", I said.

I ran out of the house. I saw Amai running after me.

I heard her yell, "Kuzu I'm sorry!"

I didn't turn back. I will never allow anyone to get this close again. A single tear slid down my cheek. The only important thing in this world is money. I should have known better letting someone get that close to me was a mistake. I felt something dripping down my a tear. I let out sign. Never again will I let someone this near.

I came back to reality. Snow was waiting for an answer and I will give it to her.

Snow's Perspective

I waited for an answer.

"How'd it go wrong?" I asked.

Kakuzu gave a heavy sigh.

"We were both young. She didn't understand what she was getting into when she agreed to marry shinobi. There was such great risk some I wasn't even aware of. I was assigned a mission to assassinate the First Hokage. When I failed I was sentenced to life imprisonment-

"That's unfair. You risked your life on a mission for your village. They shouldn't have done that", I said.

"It was a brutal time. I broke free and sought my revenge. I killed the elders who sentence taking their prized jutsu. I wanted her run away with me. She rejected me, calling me a monster. I swore off the emotions I felt for her to never and to never allow another so close again", he said.

Such betrayal. I hugged him tightly.

"Why did you allow me close?" I asked.

"Because you're one of a kind", said Kakuzu.

"I love you", I said before kissing him.

"I can't give you the ring you deserve, but I gave you something far more important my hearts, which will always be yours", said Kakuzu.

"I love you", I said.

He took something from his cloak's pocket. It was a white ring with the symbol of devotion. He handed it to me. I slid it onto my middle finger.

"This rings shows that your an equal member of the Akatsuki", said Kakuzu.

"Equal?" I asked.

I'd never been equal to anyone my entire life.

"What happened to Amai?" I asked.

"She committed suicide", he said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Don't care", said Kakuzu.

It seemed to be a somewhat sensitive subject. I wouldn't pry any further. There was a knock on the door. I pulled the blankets over my head. I wasn't ready to see anyone. It was Pain.

"Kakuzu, I need to speak with you alone", he said.

"Snow, I'll be back in a few minutes", said Kakuzu.

"Okay", I said.

I don't want to leave him, but whatever they needed to speak must be important.

"Try to sleep", said Kakuzu.

I nodded. My curiosity got the best of me. I got out of bed and crept toward Pain's office. I pressed my ear against the door.

"Why did you call me here?" asked Kakuzu.

"When will her memory return?" he asked.

Good question. I'm tired of being confused and feeling like I don't belong.

"There's no way of telling. Her skull hasn't fully healed. Maybe a week or two", said Kakuzu.

Why does he have such interest in my memory? Is it that important?

"Why the rush?" asked Kakuzu.

"She's an important member of this organization. I thought you'd want the woman you love to have her memory back as quickly as possible", said Pain.

"I don't want to risk harming her in the process. Losing her will be the end of me", said Kakuzu.

"Me helping her remember won't kill her. At most it will knock her out for a few days", said Leader.

"I won't risk her not waking up", said Kakuzu.

"Why not let her chose for herself?" said Pain.

I fell forward into the room. Pain stared at me with his intense gray eyes. I backed away.

"There's no reason to fear me", he said.

Pain offered me his hand. I looked at Kakuzu he nodded. I took Pain's hand.

"Thank you", I said.

I moved behind Kakuzu.

"He's no danger to you", he said.

I stepped forward.

"How do you want to get your memory back, Snow?" asked Kakuzu.

"How much risk is there to your method, Pain?" I asked.

"I would lying if I said there would be none", he said.

"I want to try Kakuzu's method, but if that fails I'll use your way", I said.

"I'll give you a week", said Pain.

"Who should I meet first?" I asked.

"You'll be spending some time with me. To see if any memory comes forward", he said.

"Okay", I said.

I grabbed Kakuzu's hand before he could leave.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"I trust him with you", said Kakuzu before leaving.

I don't know what to do with myself. I have no idea about what to talk about. I didn't want to ask any questions that could offend him.

"I know you must have questions", said Pain.

"I don't know what I'm allowed to ask", I said.

Pain's Perspective

Snow is timider then normal. I would have to take this slow.

"You can ask me any question you wish", I said.

She's acting as if this were the first time we truly met. I allowed the memory to return.

Pain's Flashback

"Kakuzu, you have to go on this mission", I said.

"Is there another team available?" he asked.

"No",

Since the girl's arrival, Kakuzu has questioned me. He still does as told, but there was some unwillingness to comply.

"Watch her while gone. She's an investment I'm unwilling to lose", said Kakuzu.

"Yes",

Kakuzu gathered a few things.

"She isn't ready for me to leave yet", said Kakuzu.

"She has to adjust to you not always being here", I said.

"Don't leave her alone for long. It will take time to coax her from her hiding", he said before taking his leave.

I opened the door to Kakuzu's room. I rarely spent time here. I trusted Kakuzu banking skills completely. It didn't surprise me in the least that he started a savings fund for the girl. The room seemed empty but I knew she was hiding here. A pair of midnight blue eyes stared at me from underneath Kakuzu's bed. There was such fear within them.

"There's no need to hide", I said.

She shook her head, backing further underneath the shelter of the bed. Pushing her out of her comfort zone will only scare her further. I'll have to wait until she grows more comfortable with my presence. I understand her fear. My first impression hadn't gone well. Her stomach growled. I went the kitchen and brought her something to eat. From my pocket, I took an apple. Her focus instantly went to it. I peeled an sliced it. I placed a slice a few inches from the bed. A hand shot out to snatch it. The scars of her abuse are so obvious. There were multiple pieces left on the plate in my hand. Let's test what is more powerful her hunger or her fear.

"Do you want more?" I asked.

"Yes",

The fear was present in her timid voice.

"You'll have to come closer", I said.

Hunger won over her fear. She moved from her shelter. Snow slowly crept toward me. Her every motion was caution.

"More please?" she asked.

I handed her the plate and a bright smile appeared on her face. I've forgotten what that's like. To be so hungry that simple offering of food brings such an expression of joy.

"Thank you", said Snow.

The speed at which her voice changed surprised me. It was soft and kind, but it sounded happier.

"Who taught you manners?" I asked.

"A slave must always know her manner. If I wasn't on my best behavior Master would beat me", said Snow.

She sat on the floor near my chair. I gave her the plate.

"You don't have to eat, so quickly. No one going to steal it", I said.

She slowed. Snow kept scanning the room as if she was searching for a threat who might steal her food. I bet if I even tried to touch that plate she would try to bite my hand off. The room was so quiet, but I didn't mind.

"Excuse me sir where's Kakuzu?" asked Snow.

I didn't answer I want my peace. I closed my eyes. The girl isn't foolish enough to harm me. She cried. Sapphires and emeralds fell from her eyes. How do I correct this? As she cried powerful chakra emitted from her.

"He'll be back by morning", I said.

She sniffled and wiped away her tears.

"Really?" asked Snow.

"Yes", I said.

She got into bed and I was about to leave when Snow said, "Please don't go".

"Why should I stay?" I asked.

She stared at me with those big pleading blue eyes.

"Don't look at me like that", I said.

"Sir, I'm sorry if my look has insulted in you, but I do not know how to change it", said Snow.

"I'll stay", I said.

"Thank you", said Snow.

Her soon closed in a peaceful sleep. I about to leave when Snow started talking in her sleep.

"MASTER PLEASE STOP!" screamed Snow.

I stopped in my tracks and walked back to the desk. I couldn't stand listening to her pain, but I forced myself to stay. It would be wrong to leave her in such a state.

"You're safe here", I said.

Her eyes opened and she smiled.

"You made the nightmare go away", said Snow.

I didn't do anything like that I just woke her up. I tried getting up but she grabbed my hand.

"Please stay here", said Snow.

"Why do you want me this close?" I asked.

"No one will harm me while you're close", she said.

I didn't sleep. Her fearful words ringed in my mind. She's suffered greatly in her young life. The door of the hideout opened around five in the morning. Kakuzu entered the room. He smiled when saw Snow peacefully sleeping. I rose from my seat.

"I won't watch her again", I said.

"You heard her nightmare didn't you?" asked Kakuzu.

I nodded.

I walked away from Kakuzu's room and walked toward my room.

"I told she wasn't ready for me to leave", said Kakuzu when he thought I couldn't hear him.

I returned to reality. Snow sat quietly across the desk from me. She hadn't made a sound. Her gaze was focused on the ground. The girl's discomfort was obvious.

"Ask anything", I said.

I want her trust. I know with her it isn't given, but earned. Even when she had her memory she still had some fear of me. She's never overcome her discomfort from our first overcome. I want her to feel safe in my presence.

"Can I ask your real name?" she said.

"Nagato, but Konan is the only one who calls me by that name. I prefer if you call Leader or Pain. Whichever you prefer", I said.

"Why don't more call you by it. Nagato is wonderful name", said Snow.

"It's better that way", I said.

"Whose Konan? Is she your girlfriend?" asked Snow.

I blinked a few times. It was a rapid change in her confidence.

"Oh, was that too personal", said Snow.

"Caught me off guard that's all", I said.

"Who is Konan?" asked Snow.

"An old friend I care deeply for", I said.

Snow's Perspective

"Is that all I am to you?!" growled a blue-haired woman.

Pain went pale. That must be Konan. She smiled at me.

"You'll get to know me soon", said Konan.

I nodded.

"You may want to leave for this", she said.

It wasn't a suggestion. I left and took a seat outside the door. The cave seemed so empty. Was it always like this? Where are the others? I knew there were owners. Kakuzu stood next to me.

"Why are you out here?" he asked.

"Pain is having an argument with his girlfriend", I said.

Several loud thuds could be heard from within.

"Is she normally like that?" I asked.

"No", said Kakuzu.

"Do we ever fight like that?" I asked.

"On rare occasion", said Kakuzu.

"How did our fights end?" I asked.

"Our last argument end in you dislocating my shoulder", said Kakuzu.

"Did you deserve it?" I asked.

"Depends on the fight", said Kakuzu.

Konan walked out. She seemed happier.

"Feel better?" I asked.

"Yes, you can go back in now Snow", said Konan.

I enter the office. The desk was in pieces. There was a large bump on his head. I held in my laughter.

"What do you recall of me?" he asked.

"It's clear you're the leader of this organization, which means you're powerful. There's something special about your eyes", I said.

"Correct", he said.

I grew used to his presence. I ask a few more questions and he explained the Akatsuki the best he could.

"Thanks for your patience", I said.

"I need to amend something I said before. You can trust most of our members with the exception of Hidan and Orochimaru", said Pain.

Orochimaru? That rings a bell that.

"Does he look somewhat like a snake?" I asked.

"Yes", answered Pain.

"I've never liked him have I", I said.

Pain nodded.

"Why?" I asked.

"He wants to experiment on you", he said.

"Can I only speak to you or are there others?" I asked.

"Most are out on missions, but there is one that wants to meet. But I must warn he has a split personality", Pain said.

A man appeared from the floor. Half of his form was white the other black. The man had green hair and golden eyes. Two weird looking leaf things were connected him near the shoulders.

"Snow, this is Zetsu", he said.

"Hi", I said.

"Will the three of you be fine alone?" asked Pain.

Three?

"We'll be fine", said Black Zetsu.

"We wouldn't harm, Snowy", said White Zetsu.

Pain looked to me.

"Are you sure he's the best to start off with", said Kakuzu.

"I'll be fine", I said.

"We won't be far", he said.

"Okay", I said.

"Snowy, did you get your memory back yet? Do you remember who we are yet?" asked White Zetsu.

"Of course she hasn't we wouldn't be here if she remembered us", said Black Zetsu.

Before the argument between the two sides of the man gets any worse I have to at least ask their names.

"I wish I could remember you", I said.

"There's no point in us wasting our breath talking to her when she has no memory of us", growled Black Zetsu.

"Let's stay a little longer. Maybe she'll remember", said White Zetsu.

"Those chances are slim", said Black Zetsu.

"Are you normally so negative?" I asked.

"Him yes. Me no", said White Zetsu.

"Are we friends?" I asked.

"Co-workers at the most", said Black Zetsu.

"No, we are your best friends you are nicest to me", said White Zetsu.

"At least I'm friend with one side of you", I said.

"Black Zetsu would never tell you this, but he thinks you're powerful", said White Zetsu.

"You think I'm powerful?" I asked.

"Stronger than the average shinobi", said Black Zetsu.

That was the best I would get from Zetsu.

"Thank you", I said.

"We got you something", said White Zetsu.

Zetsu handed me a small potted plant. The flowers were a deep blood red color.

"Thank you Zetsu it's beautiful", I said.

I placed the plant on the desk and hugged Zetsu. One side him hugged me back. After five minutes with him, my head was aching. I craved some quiet time with Kakuzu.

"Is our presence bothering you, Snow", said Black Zetsu.

I glared at Black Zetsu.

"Are we annoying you, Snowy?" asked White Zetsu.

"Only tired", I said.

"You're our friend right?" asked White Zetsu.

"Yes, I just need some quiet time", I said.

"Your even friends with him?" asked White Zetsu as he pointed to his other half.

"Yes", I said.

"Alright Snowy we will give some quiet time", said White Zetsu.

"Recover soon Snow", said Black Zetsu.

"Thanks", I said.

Zetsu sunk into the floor. Kakuzu and Leader entered.

"Ready to meet another member?" he asked.

"Can I take a break? I have a headache from those two", I said.

Kakuzu easily lifted me. He held me in a bridal carried me to his room and placed me in bed.

"I will wake you up in a few hours", said Kakuzu before he shut the door to his room.

Kakuzu's Perspective

I shut the door quietly behind me. So far so good. No, mental breaks.

"Kakuzu", said Konan.

"What do you want?" I asked.

I should have stayed with her. No one would bother me then.

"When will I have a chance to spend some time with her?" asked Konan.

"She needs a few hours of rest", I said.

Around one I went to wake her. I nudged her awake. Her midnight blue eyes slowly opened. She smiled.

"Do I have to meet more people?" asked Snow.

"Yes", I said.

"Whose next?" she asked.

A loud banging on the door stopped me from answering.

"Where did you fucking put it ass hole?!" yelled Hidan.

There's no way in hell I'm allowing Hidan to enter my room.

"Open the fucking door old man!" yelled Hidan.

Snow tensed. Sooner I rid myself of Hidan the sooner she'll relax. I opened the door.

"What the fuck took you, so long?" asked Hidan.

"What now?" I asked.

"Where is my fucking rosary?!" yelled Hidan.

I took the necklace from my desk and returned it to him.

"Leave", I said.

Snow was staring at him.

"I am Hidan", said Hidan.

"So you are the idiot that Kakuzu was talking about", said Snow.

"Kakuzu, what else have you told the Little Bitch behind my back?" asked Hidan.

They glared at each other with such fury. This will not end well.

"Don't call me that!" growled Snow.

"I will call you anything I like Little Bitch. You can't do anything about it", said Hidan.

Snow stomped her foot on the ground, which sent diamond blades in my direction. Snow's muscles seemed to recall this.

"Remembering something Little Bitch?" said Hidan.

Does she recall something?

Snow's Perspective

"I remember kicking your ass and I will do it again", I said.

Why did I say that? I haven't fought another person in my life. This situation felt familiar.

"Good luck Little Bitch", said Hidan.

"Stop calling me that", I said.

"Make me", said Hidan.

Is he just being an ass at this moment or is he always like this? Hidan came charging towards me. What should I do?! No, I'm not going to cower. I got myself into this I can get myself out of it. Hidan's scythe blades were only inches away from my face. I shut my eyes. This will hurt. There was no horrible pain. When my eyes opened, the blades of Hidan's scythe were only centimeters away from my face. His body was entrapped in diamond.

"Let me out his thing you stupid bitch!" yelled Hidan.

"Don't call me that!" I yelled.

"What are you going throw a fit now like the Little Bitch you are?" asked Hidan.

I meant to slap him across the face, but diamond blades followed the motion of my hand. Hidan was separate from his body and part of his left arm was missing. No, I didn't mean to do this! I cried.

"What the fuck are you crying about your not the one who got their head chopped off!" yelled Hidan's head who was staring up at me from the ground.

I could only stare. What else was I suppose to do, when a decapitated head was talking to me. I kicked him away. His head landed in the pond. Kakuzu laughed. He pulled Hidan's head from the water.

"You have to learn some control, bitch!" growled Hidan.

"You're in no position to talk", said Kakuzu.

He went to Hidan's body, which was still entrapped in diamond.

"Release the jutsu, Snow", said Leader.

"I don't know how", I said.

Kakuzu's Perspective

She doesn't understand her own strength. It's a dangerous problem.

"I can just blow up the diamond", said Deidara.

"Idiot", I said.

"What's wrong with my idea?" asked Deidara.

"Setting off a bomb in a confined space will cause a great amount of damage to the hideout. Also if you blow up Hidan I have to waste my time putting him back together", I said.

"Don't I get a fucking say in if I get blown up?" asked Hidan who was still not attached to his body.

"You don't. It's your own fault in your in this situation. Like always I have to clean up the mess you've made", I said.

"Let me out of this trap or I'll reunite you with your master!" screamed Hidan.

Snow was shaking. Her eyes were wide with fear.

"Shit!"

"I WON'T GO BACK!" screamed Snow.

Massive amounts of chakra emitted from her small body. The ground shook as diamond blades erupted from stone earth. They jutted from every angle. They were quickly growing in size. She needs to calm down. We could easily dodge.

"You caused this you fucking idiot", I growled.

"She overreacted", said Hidan.

"Spread out and find her", said Pain.

I found her. She was hidden where the blades were most dense. She curled up in a ball. Her eyes were tightly shut.

"Snow",

Her eyes opened.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to do this", said Snow.

There was such panic in her voice. She's scared of her own power. Diamond was closing in on us. I was forced to hunch over, from the lack of space.

"Calm down", I said.

"I CAN'T!" she cried.

"Come here", I said.

She rushed over to me. Hopefully, I can calm her down before this gets even more out of hand. I pulled her into my lap, hugging her close to my chest. Why isn't she calming? Blood dripped down my back. One of the diamond blades was digging into my back. I can't show her any signs of my pain. It will only scare her further.

"You're safe my treasure", I whispered.

I ran my finger through her hair. The diamond blades returned to the earth. In a few seconds, all of the diamond blades were gone.

"I'm sorry", said Snow.

"This wasn't your fault. Kakuzu put Hidan together", said Pain.

I walked over to Hidan's body, which laid in pieces. Snow watched my threads dig into Hidan's flesh and slowly pull him together.

"OUCH!" he yelled.

"Shut up", I said.

As soon as Hidan was sewn together he got up and stretched.

"Don't move, so much you'll fall apart", I warned.

"Little Bitch, you still have some strength to you", said Hidan.

Snow was about to charge at Hidan, but Kisame grabbed her and lifted her off the ground, so she couldn't attack Hidan.

"Let me go!" yelled Snow as struggled to get of Kisame's grip.

"No", said Kisame.

"Do you smell something burning?" asked Konan.

We all stared at Deidara you could always blame a fire or explosion on him.

"No, it's not me this time, but Kisame you might want to put Snow down", said Deidara.

Snow's steam was rising from her body.

"HOT!" yelled Kisame before he threw Snow into the water.

Steam filled the cave. When it cleared, Snow sat in the water with steam rising from her. She glared at Hidan.

"Sorry, if I burned you umm. I don't know your name", said Snow.

"It's alright", said Kisame.

I picked Snow up and carried her out of the water.

"I can walk, Kakuzu", said Snow.

I ignored her and continued to walk to my room. I put her to bed and hoped she would fall asleep she used a good amount of chakra today.

"Don't I have to meet rest of the group?" asked Snow.

"Tomorrow", I said.

"But", said Snow.

"Snow, you have six more days to meet the rest of the group there's no need to rush", I said.

"Okay", she said before falling asleep.
