The Diamond Family
Chapter 14: Mental Break Down
Perspectives: Konan, Snow, Kakuzu, Orochimaru
Please leave a review and tell me what you think. If you have any questions or suggestion I would love to hear them.
Konan's Perspective
Today I hoped I would have a chance to see my friend, but the incident with Deidara ruined it. How far back did he set back her recovery?
"Whatever Kakuzu throws at you, Deidara you deserve", I said.
He didn't concern was clear in his expression. Does he realize his mistake? I went to the infirmary. Snow was tucked into bed.
"How is she?" I asked.
"Some bruising. My concern the damage that might have cause to her memory", said Kakuzu.
"Is there anything I can do?" I asked.
"Convince him to give her more time, so she can recover naturally", said Kakuzu.
He accepted my help for him to do that he must truly love her.
"I will try to, but there are no guarantees", I said.
Deidara stood outside the infirmary.
"You must have a death wish. If Kakuzu sees you he'll kill you", I said.
He ignored my warning.
"How is she?" asked Deidara.
He still loves her.
"She'll be fine. Only some bruising that's all", I said.
"Good", said Deidara.
"Not good. You could have affected her mental health", I said.
"When will she wake up?" asked Deidara.
"No idea. If you hurt my friend beyond repair Kakuzu won't be the only one you have to look out for", I said.
I walked into Nagato's office he was sitting at his desk.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
Nagato got up from his desk and gently touched my face. My face grew warm.
"Your worry is obvious", said Nagato.
"She won't be able to withstand your Rinnegan in her current state", I said.
"Did Kakuzu ask you to do this?" asked Nagato.
"He did but I'm also concerned for her. She's our friend and she needs time. You can't rush this", I said.
"I will give her more time", said Nagato.
"Thank you", I said.
"You and her are alike", said Nagato.
"How so?" I asked.
"You are both kind and powerful women. In my eyes, you are the most beautiful creature I've ever seen", said Nagato.
"How much time will give her?" I asked.
"A week", said Nagato.
"Thank you", I said.
I kissed him on the cheek before leaving. As I walked out of the office I saw Orochimaru near the door. Him being here will only cause more problems. What does he want? That question can wait until later. First I must tell Kakuzu the good news. I rushed the infirmary. Kakuzu sat loyally by her bedside. He's so in love with her.
Snow's Perspective
I was weak, but I could move. Kakuzu and Konan were speaking over me. My eyes slowly opened. My vision was blurry.
"What did he say?" asked Kakuzu.
"He gave her a week. Will that be enough?" asked Konan.
"I can't be sure", said Kakuzu.
"Hopefully, she will wake up soon I miss my friend", said Konan.
Kakuzu nodded.
"I'm fine", I said as sat up.
"Easy Snow", said Kakuzu.
He positioned the pillows, so I could sit up with little effort. Kakuzu tucked my hair behind my ear. He kissed.
"I wish I didn't cause such worry", I said.
"It alright Snow", said Konan.
"Sorry for being so foolish. I allowed my anger to get the best of me", I said.
"It happens to all of us", said Kakuzu.
"Some more than most", said Konan.
"I do want to leave this cave with you, Konan. I want to remember a friend", I said.
"I look forward to it", she said.
"I do too", said Konan.
"Not until you recover further. It can wait until tomorrow", said Kakuzu.
"Okay", I said.
"I'll get you something to eat", said Kakuzu.
"Ramen", I said.
"Yes", said Kakuzu.
He kissed me on the forehead before leaving. Before he could pull away, I grabbed the collar his cloak and pulled down his mask. Our lips locked in a kiss. Kakuzu broke our kiss.
"I'll be back soon", said Kakuzu.
I yawned. Sleep would be good. I was about to close my eyes when the doors slammed opened. Tobi came in. He hugged me tightly.
"You're okay your okay!" yelled Tobi.
I smiled. It felt better knowing that I wasn't alone.
"Do you remember me?" asked Tobi.
"I do Tobi", I said.
We played cards. The doors opened again. Deidara and Pain entered. I glared at the blonde. Why is he here?
"Glaring, will give you wrinkles", said Deidara.
"Why are you here?" I asked.
"I'm in need of medical attention. I have a mission. The sooner you heal me the sooner I can leave", he said.
"Fine", I said.
I got to my feet.
An annoying smirk appeared on his face. I resisted the urge to slap him. Deep purple bruising colored his side. I pressed against his side.
"Gentle!", growled Deidara as I pressed down on one of his ribs.
"Stop whining you're lucky I'm even helping you", I said.
Four of his ribs are broken. I channel my chakra into his ribs and they started to heal. I stopped when the bruising on his side vanished. I yawned.
"Thanks, Snow un", said Deidara.
"Let me this clear I'm only doing this so you'll leave", I said.
Deidara looked, so hurt. This is his doing. Konan and Pain came into the infirmary. She was carrying a stack of books.
"I thought reading could help return some of your memories", said Konan.
"Thank you Konan", I said.
The door opened again and Kakuzu came into the room. As soon as he saw Deidara he charged at him.
"You have some nerve coming in here, boy!" growled Kakuzu as his wrapped hand around Deidara's neck.
What do I do?! If I help Deidara Kakuzu will only become angrier. If I do nothing Kakuzu will kill him. An explosion went off. Threads emerged from underneath Kakuzu's skin. They wrapped around Deidara.
"Enough Kakuzu", commanded Pain.
He ignored the command. Deidara desperately pried at Kakuzu's grip. Pain grabbed Kakuzu's arm and pulled.
"Stop, this foolishness", he ordered.
This won't end well. Someone will be hurt or worse. Kakuzu was on the verge of a full-on rage. He seemed to understand.
"Can you handle this?" asked Leader.
I nodded. I stepped in front of Kakuzu and hugged him.
"Please stop", I pleaded.
His gaze moved to me.
"Snow move", said Kakuzu.
"No", I said,
Everyone's eyes were on me. They were awaiting his response.
"Why protect him?" asked Kakuzu.
"I'm not protecting him. I'm stopping you from doing something foolish", I said.
I hugged him. His heart rates slowed. Kakuzu's grip on Deidara neck loosened. He released him. Deidara was clever enough to take his leave.
"Let's give them some privacy", said Konan.
The others left. I took a bowl of ramen off a table and happily slurped up some noodles. I sat on the bed and waited for Kakuzu to join me. He sat next to me.
"Snow, weren't you scared of me?" Kakuzu asked.
"I wasn't", I said.
"Why?" asked Kakuzu.
"I know you'd never hurt me", I said.
I trusted fully that he would never harm me, even at his worst.
"I could never hurt you", he said.
"I know",
I leaned my head against his shoulder.
"Let me see your face", I said.
He removed his mask and hood. He lay in the bed with me, running his finger through my hair. I hummed a song to myself. I traced the stitches along his jaw.
"Sorry, my memory isn't returning fast enough", I said.
"It isn't your fault", said Kakuzu.
She frowned.
"Why do I feel as if it is?" I asked.
"It's part of your personality", said Kakuzu.
"Is it enough time?" I asked.
"There's no way of true way of knowing. I wish I could give you a better answer", said Kakuzu.
There's something in his pocket.
"What's in your pocket?" I asked.
He pulled a cloth from his pocket and unwrapped a pink pearl.
"I gave you this", I said.
"Do you remember?" asked Kakuzu.
"Memories of you always come back quickly, but there always hazy", I said.
"Tell me what you remember", said Kakuzu.
"Can we go to your room first? I feel safer there", I said.
Kakuzu nodded. He lifted me from the bed and walked us to his room. I cuddled closely to his chest.
"You've always liked it when I carry you", said Kakuzu.
We got to his room and he put me down on the bed.
"What do you know of this pearl?" asked Kakuzu.
"I gave it to you as a reminder of how much I love you", I said.
I kissed him. It soon grew more passionate. He broke the kiss.
"Why'd you stop?" I asked.
"You must conserve your energy", said Kakuzu.
"You were perfectly willing not so long ago", I said.
"We were both lost in the moment", said Kakuzu.
"You're no fun", I said.
"I promise I'll more than make up for it when you've recovered", said Kakuzu.
"I'll keep you to that", I said.
"I hope you do", said Kakuzu.
I huddled up by his side. I yawned. I slept well with him near. At seven I woke to a knock on the door. I managed to escape his sleeping embrace. Konan waited for me by the entrance.
"Where do you want to go?" asked Konan.
"No, idea. Where ever you take me will be new to me", I said.
"Let's got the hot spring", said Konan.
I was about to agree when I thought of my scars.
"My scars", I said.
"I've seen them before. This hot spring is private, so no one will see us", said Konan.
We went to the changing room. I undressed quickly and wrapped a towel around me. I turned away as Konan she undressed. She's a beautiful woman. I couldn't help feeling ashamed of my own body. We followed a stone path to the spring. A tall wooden fence ensured privacy. Steam rose from the spring. A cherry tree hung over the water, leaving petals on floated on the surface. I eased myself into the water. My muscles relaxed.
"Hopefully, it will help you in your recovery", said Konan.
"Already feeling better", I said.
She smiled at me.
"Why are being so kind to me?" I asked.
"You're a sister to me. It's only natural", said Konan.
"You tackling to the floor whenever a conversation doesn't go way does sound like something an older sister would do", I said.
"Heh, you remember that", said Konan.
I laughed and so did she.
"You told me you were a virgin that day", said Konan.
My face went pink.
"Not anymore", I said.
She laughed.
"When did we start coming here?" I asked.
"Actually you were the first person to tell me about this place. You went to them with your si-
"What?" I asked.
I swore she was going to say sister, but I don't have any sisters unless I count her.
"I won't lie to you. You do have blood relatives", said Konan.
Another family. I wonder what they are like. Questions rushed through my head, but I knew Konan wouldn't answer them, but I just can't forget what she said. We dressed.
"Where next?" I asked.
"It's a surprise", said Konan.
I wasn't much for surprises.
"Can we get something to eat? I haven't had breakfast yet", I said.
"Sure", said Konan.
She took me to a dango shop. Sweet smell drifted out of it. Its name was Dango Paradise. A waitress led us to a table outside it was beautiful. There was a koi pond and there were a few plum trees in full bloom. The waitress gave us menus.
"Tell me when you two are ready to order", said the waitress.
Konan nodded. The staff seemed disappointed by her company.
"Why does the staff seem so disappointed?" I asked.
"You normally come here with Itachi. It's one of his favorite places to eat", said Konan.
"What makes it so special?" I asked.
"They serve every kind of dango all year round", said Konan.
I picked up a menu. There was such a wide selection. One caught my attention. They were called Minmin Sweets. Konan called over the waitress. She placed two cups of green tea on the table.
"I will back with your orders soon", said the waitress.
A few minutes later she came back with our order.
"These are a favorite of people of the Hidden Diamond. They're named after the Guardian's wife. It's said they're just as sweet as she was", said the waitress.
"Did she die?" I asked.
"No, her disappearance is a mystery", said the waitress.
She placed a plate in front of me. On them were white dango dusted in powdered sugar and painted with red sauce. I took a bite the flavor was off but brought back a memory.
Snow's Flashback
I walked through the village. As I did some of the villagers waved to me. Their kindness eases the ache of being away from Kakuzu.
"Minori, come here", said Baker.
No one in the village in the village called him by his true name even his wife. He was a jolly old man with a large belly. At the moment he was giving away free sample outside his storefront. A herd of children surrounded him. The ran off when he finally gave into their demands.
"I want you to try my new dango", said Baker.
He handed me a toothpick with a white dango dusted in powdered sugar cover a deep red sauce.
"Go on take a bite", he encouraged.
I took a bite. The taste was wonderful. The sweetness was perfectly complimented by the raspberry sauce.
"So good", I said as I licked my lips.
"They were only supposed to be for your wedding, but the way they're selling I think I'll keep them on the menu", said Baker.
"What will you call them?" I asked.
"Minmin Sweets", said Baker.
"How'd you come up with the name?" I asked.
"All the little kids here call you Minmin since they have such a hard time pronouncing your name and they are my main customers", said Baker.
"You named them after me", I said.
"Yes", said Baker.
A pair of arms wrapped around my waist.
"So this is where you've gone off too", said Eiji.
"Only taking a walk", I said.
"You have powdered sugar on your face", said Eiji.
I wiped my face.
"Let me", he said.
Eiji gently held my face in my hands. He wiped the sugar from my face with his thumb. Eiji licked the sugar from his finger. My face turned pink.
"Want to try one?" I asked.
Baker handed him one.
"It's too sweet for me", he said.
There was powdered sugar on his face. I giggled.
"What?" asked Eiji.
"Nothing, come here", I said.
He moved closer to me. I stood on my tippy toes, so I could I wipe the sugar off his face. His eyes were some of the prettiest I've ever seen, but nothing compared Kakuzu's eyes.
"You two are so cute", sighed Baker's wife.
"Yes, they sweet just like you, Minori. That reminds me how's the new couple doing are you sore, Lady Minori?" asked Baker.
When I looked at Eiji, I could have sworn I saw a light blush on his face.
"Are you blushing Eiji?" I asked.
"You rude old fart don't speak Lady Minori like that", said Baker's wife before she hit him in the head with a wooden spoon.
Baker went back into the kitchen.
"I'm sorry for my husband's rude behavior", said Baker's wife.
"It's alright", I said.
"The hot spring is a good way to get rid of that soreness Lady Minori. I'm betting he's great in bed", said Baker's wife.
My face grew warm with blush. The blush on Eiji's face became more noticeable. Since our wedding night, every woman in the village has questioned me about how he was like in bed.
I snap back into reality. Konan squeezed my hand.
"Are you okay?" she asked.
"I was caught in a memory", I said.
I put down the dango. I'd lost my appetite.
"Bad or good?" asked Konan.
"Not sure, but it leaves me with a lot of questions", I said.
"Maybe I can answer them", said Konan.
"Was I married?" I asked.
"Yes", said Konan.
My hands fisted.
"Then why am I here? Was Kakuzu an affair?" I asked.
"It's rather complicated", said Konan.
"Then try your best to explain it to me", I said.
"You were with Kakuzu before him. Your clan stole you from him", said Konan.
I relaxed.
"I wonder why I kept the ring", I said.
"Only you can answer that", said Konan.
"Maybe remind me of a hope", I said.
"Of?" asked Konan.
"Of something that can never be", I said.
I looked hand. I toyed with the Akatsuki ring on my finger.
"You don't normally wear it on your middle finger", said Konan.
"I don't", I said.
"You normally wear it on your left ring finger", said Konan.
I moved it. That's better. I sighed. I was hoping to wear another kind of ring on this finger.
"You wish to wear another ring on that finger", she said.
"How'd you know?" I asked.
"We crave the same thing", said Konan.
"That makes me feel less foolish", I said.
"There's nothing foolish about it", said Konan.
"I don't want to talk about this", I said.
Konan nodded in understanding.
"Let's get our nails done", she said.
We went to the nail salon. There were many colors to chose from. I chose a sky blue. Konan chose orange.
"They all look the same", I said.
"We're fine, Snow", said Konan.
We moved to a different section of the nail salon to get our toes done.
"You have unique talent", said Konan.
"My ability?" I asked.
"I wasn't talking about that", said Konan.
"Then what?" I asked.
"Calming Kakuzu. No one has ever brought him down from one of his rages. If anyone else dared to try he'd kill them", said Konan.
"What do you think they are up to?" I asked.
"Most likely sleeping", said Konan.
Kakuzu's Perspective
I woke at noon. My eyes closed again. Too early. A few more minutes won't matter. I outstretched my arm, but couldn't find her. My eye immediately opened. I sat up. The room was empty. I checked the bathroom, but she wasn't there. How does she always manage to get out of my grip? No matter how tightly I hold her she always manages to get out. There was a note on her pillow. I read over it:
Went out with Konan might come home late.
Love Snow
Hopefully, she'll have some fun. I wished she had woken me before she left. I went to the kitchen to make coffee. He seemed somewhat annoyed.
"What are you so annoyed about?" I asked.
"I could ask you the same of you", said Pain.
"I'm not annoyed", I said.
"I doubt that", he said.
"Yes, I'm annoyed but is there to be done", I sad.
"They could have told us before they left", said Pain.
"Snow left a note", I said.
"She knows how badly you'd react if she didn't", said Pain.
Hours slowly ticked by as we waited for the two of them to return. At two in the morning, the hideout door finally slid open. They stumbled in. The two were laughing loudly. Snow could barely walk on her own.
"They're drunk", I said.
We walked toward them.
"How are you feeling?" I asked.
How would alcohol affect her current state?
"Snow, how are you feeling?" I asked.
"Really drunk", said Snow before she started hiccuping.
"You'll have such a hangover in the morning", I said.
If she weren't immortal I'd worry about alcohol poisoning. Snow started giggling. We went to my room.
"I'll give you this you make a cute drunk, Snow", I said.
Her skin was too warm. I rushed her to my bathroom and turned the cold water in the shower. I stripped Snow of her clothes. I took a thermometer from the first aid kit.
"Open your mouth", I said.
She did as told. I took the thermometer from her mouth. She had a 115-degree (46 C) fever. It would kill anyone else.
"Stay put", I said.
I rushed to the kitchen and fill a large bowl with ice. I went to the infirmary to find every ice pack I could find. I poured it over her and placed an ice pack on her forehead. The ice quickly melted against her skin.
"Cold", whined Snow.
She struggled weakly.
"I don't like it", whined Snow as she tried to reach for the shower nob.
"No", I said.
She gave an annoyed huff. Her temperature cooled I turned off the water. Snow's eyes were hazy. She didn't even try to get up. I helped her from the tub. She leaned heavily against me for support. If she were sober I would enjoy this. I wrapped a towel around her. I dressed her and sat her down on the floor.
"Stay here", I said.
"Okey dokey", said Snow.
This will be the place for her when the hangover catches up with her. I gathered blankets and pillow. I made a makeshift bed on the bathroom floor. I tied her hair in a bun. Snow slept heavily through the night. The drinking must have contributed to her sleep.
Snow's Perspective
I woke. I groaned. The lights were too bright! My head aching and the room was spinning. Those lights had to go. A diamond kunai formed in my hand. I threw it at the light. It missed and lodged in the wall. On my third try, I got the light. The bathroom went dark. Much better. My stomach growled angrily. This wouldn't be a fun morning. The bathroom door opened. I groaned.
"I could have turned those off for you", said Kakuzu
"Sorry", I said.
"My drunken treasure awakes", said Kakuzu.
I pulled the pillow over my head.
"Too loud, Kuzu", I said.
Something was coming up! I crawled to the toilet.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"To get something to help with your hangover", said Kakuzu.
"Hurry", I said.
Kakuzu came back with an IV. He had crackers and ginger ale too.
He put a needle in my arm.
"How long am I going to feel like this?" I asked.
"Seventy-two hours", said Kakuzu.
"That long", I groaned.
"With your metabolism, it can be difficult to tell", he said.
"That's of no help to me", I said.
"If a full grown male drank as much as you did they'd be in a coma. You shouldn't have been drinking in the first place", said Kakuzu.
"I don't need a lecture", I said.
"Then what do you need from me?" he asked.
"To stay with me", I said.
He took a seat next to me. I leaned against him. He wouldn't leave unless he had to.
Kakuzu's Perspective
Snow ate a few crackers and managed to keep them down. She yawned, before resting her head in my lap. Someone entered my room. It was Pain.
"How is she?" he asked.
"Badly hungover, but fine from what I can tell", I said.
"She's in the same state as Konan", said Pain.
"She'll be fully recovered in a few days", I said.
"Why are you here? I know you didn't come here to visit her", I said.
"I need you on a mission", said Pain.
Snow stirred. Her eyes slowly opened.
"Kuzu?",
She sprung to her feet when she saw Pain. It was a surprisingly graceful motion considering how hungover she was.
"Rest Snow. I need to speak with Kakuzu", he said.
"Why are you here?" asked Snow.
"Kakuzu is needed on an assignment", said Pain.
She frowned.
"I understand", I said.
"Who will care for her while I'm gone?" I asked.
"Tobi", said Pain.
"You must be joking", I said.
"I don't joke", said Pain in a dull voice.
"She can barely walk", I said.
"Tobi is a talented caregiver. Or would you rather have Deidara or Orochimaru watching over her", said Pain.
"Fine", I said.
"He's waiting outside", said Pain.
He left. I sighed. I kneeled down by Snow.
"I'll be back as soon as I can", I said.
"Be careful", said Snow.
"I will be", I said.
I leaned in to kiss her.
"No, my breath", said Snow.
"I don't mind", I said before kissing her.
"I love you", she whispered.
"Love you too", I said.
I packed a few things and then went to get Tobi.
"Don't touch anything. If anything happens to her I'll hold you personally responsible", I said.
Snow pushed open the bathroom door.
"Kuzu, be nice", said Snow.
Tobi giggled.
"Shut it boy", I warned.
He completely ignored me and went to tend to her.
"You shouldn't be up", said Tobi.
Snow's Perspective
Tobi was quiet. I was grateful for it, but there was something unsettling about it. He even kept the lighting dim.
"If you need anything just say so", said Tobi.
I nodded. Tobi reset the IV in my arm. He pulled a blanket over me.
"Thank you, Tobi", I said.
The room filled with a white gas.
"Tobi?"
No answer. I started coughing. My vision went dark.
Orochimaru's Perspective
"Too easy", I said as I moved Snow's hair out of her face.
She is beautiful. Her beauty goes further than physical appearance, which makes her even more unique. Such a wonderful ability. Soon to be mine.
"I can't take you now my sweet little pet, but I can make things go faster", I said.
I pulled down the blankets. I looked over her. This small seemingly weak body will have the honor of being my final host. With her, my dream will finally be achieved. She stirred.
"Kuzu?"
I performed the transformation jutsu. I sat with her on the floor.
"I thought you were on a mission", said Snow.
"Sleep my treasure", I said.
She slowly sat up and kissed me gently on the lips.
"Love you", said Snow.
She drifted to sleep. How easily fooled she is. I injected a potion of my own creation into her IV. An expression of fear appeared on her face. My potion worked better than I thought it would its already bringing her into her worst nightmare.
"Not so tough when your guard dog isn't around", I said before I left.
Snow's Nightmare
I woke in strange dark dank places. Chains hung from the ceiling and the stench of blood stained air. Heavy shackles were locked around my wrists forcing me to stand. Dried blood caked my hair to my skin. A puddle of drying blood was at my feet. I shivered when I saw a pair of beady black eyes were staring at me. Master slowly stepped into the dim light. He grabbed my neck and started squeezing.
"You've misbehaved, Little Bitch", said Master.
"What did I do?" I asked.
He didn't answer my question, but he slapped me across the face.
"Do you know what happens when you disobey me", said Master.
"No master, no please no", I begged.
He turned around holding the whip I feared the most. It was whip bull made out of black woven leather, but what's different about it is there are pieces of glass woven into it too. I lost control of my body and felt warm liquid running down my leg.
"Pathetic little girl", said Master.
He whipped my back bloody all over again.
When he finished a look of relief most have appeared on my face and he said, "Your punishment isn't over Little Bitch".
Out of nowhere all the people I cared most about appeared. They were strapped to chairs and beaten badly. How did they get there? Master approached each one of them and slit their throats. The horrible process continues on a loop.
Kakuzu's Perspective
The mission was simple and easily accomplished. I reached the hideout at ten at night. Tobi was asleep at my desk.
"Dumb ass boy", I said.
I couldn't harm no matter how tempting it was. I flicked him on the back of the head.
"What was that for?" asked Tobi.
"I found you asleep on your guard", I said
"Fell asleep?" asked Tobi.
"Yes", I said.
I won't waste any more time on him. Snow was asleep on the bathroom floor. The blankets were tucked around her. Something was wrong. She was shaking violently. Snow was hyperventilating. Her skin was wet with sweat.
"Snow"
Her eyes snapped open. Confusion clouded her eyes. She fell from bed and backed away from me. Snow cornered herself. Her breathing was harsh and uneven. When I came near she sent my flying the through the wall of my bedroom. I landed in front of Konan and Pain stared at me.
"What happened?" asked Konan.
A few seconds later Tobi was sent through the same wall. He crashed into to me.
"Something wrong with, Snow", he said.
I shoved him off me. There was a flash of movement. I grabbed Snow. She struggled against me with all her strength.
"Snow, calm down", I said.
She growled. The earth shook as diamond blades ejected from the earth. It will be impossible to subdue her without harming her. A diamond blade sliced through her leg. She collapsed. Nagato held her in his arms.
"End this", said Pain.
My threads went after her. They wrapped tightly around her body stopping her from moving. She glared at me with such hatred. I'd never seen her glare at me in such a way. She struggled violently against the threads. Eventually, she settled, but anger still fumed just underneath the surface. I went to Konan. She'd lost a lot of blood. I touch my hand her leg. My chakra healed her injury.
"This was an accident", I said.
"I know she isn't in her right mind", said Konan.
I sighed. I'd hoped we were past this.
"Kakuzu, you know what this means", said Pain.
"I know", I said.
I walked over to Snow. She struggled against her bindings. My threads tightened slightly to calm her. We're out of options. Our only choice is Pain's Rinnegan.
