Chapter 16: Thief
Perspectives: Orochimaru, Kakuzu, Konan, Deidara, and Snow.

Orochimaru's Perspective
The few members of the group left the group. All except Kakuzu. When Leader passed me he gave me a warning glare. How much did he see? And how will it affect me? I might have to work more quickly. Thankfully, the formula is ready.
"Orochimaru", said Pain.
Even I won't press my luck in a battle against him.
"Yes",
"If you bring any harm to her you'll regret it dearly", he said.
I smirked.
"Why would you waste such time on the girl? What has she done to earn your concern?" I asked.
"She's family", said Pain.
"She's a weakness", I said.
"You're wrong, Orochimaru. Family makes you stronger, but you'll never understand that", said Leader.
"Nor do I ever want to", I said.
His protection will be bothersome, but it won't be enough to stop my plans. Even him in all his power won't be able to resist the formula Kabuto crafted.
Kakuzu's Perspective
Snow and I lingered in the infirmary. The fight it tension left her. My threads released her. She gave a soft sigh. I caressed her cheek. She leaned weakly into my touch. I won't leave her unprotected.
"Kuzu", Snow murmured in her sleep.
Her fingers weakly searched for me. I joined her in bed. I held her hand. Our fingers entwined. She huddled close to me. No one will touch her while I'm near.
"I'm here for you", I said.
With my free hand, I ran my fingers through her hair. My eyes closed.
"WAKE UP LAZY ASS!"
Hidan. What time is it? I groaned when I saw it eight in the morning. Why the hell is he annoying so early in the morning? He should know by now I'm not a morning person. What am I thinking Hidan never learns? He wouldn't be a complete dumb ass if he did. But Hidan wouldn't be Hidan if he wasn't a dumb ass.
"Why did you wake me?" I asked.
"Do you think I want to waste my fucking time trying to get your ancient ass out of bed?" said Hidan.
"Why the fuck are you here?" I asked.
"We have a mission", said Hidan.
"You have to be kidding me", I said.
"I wish", said Hidan.
"Hidan, go waste someone else time", I said.
"But you're just my favorite fucking person to annoy, Kuzu", said Hidan.
Did he really just call me that? He must have a fucking death wish.
"What did you just call me?" I asked.
"Kuzu", said Hidan.
That annoying smirk of his appeared on his face when he saw my anger growing. I'll rip that smirk off.
"You aren't the one calls me that", I said.
"Well the Little Bitch can't call you it so thought I would do her a favor", said Hidan.
"Go away", I said.
"No, I'm enjoying this too fucking much to leave", said Hidan.
I charged at him and only missed punching him by centimeters.
"You don't have to be, so dramatic, Kuzu. It's not my fault the Little Bitch is knocked out", said Hidan.
My hands fisted.
"If you call her that again I'll rip your tongue out", I said.
The door opened and Pain entered. I forced myself to pull away from my argument with Hidan to stop him from interrupting us I sewed his mouth shut. I really should do that more often. Hidan started prying at them. He glared at Pain and pointed to his lips.
"You got yourself into this mess", said Pain.
"Does this mission need my attention?" I asked.
"Yes, the other teams are out. You'll finish the assignment by tomorrow. I'll keep an eye on her", said Pain.
"Kuzu", said Snow in her sleep.
"Odd", said Pain.
"What?" I asked.
"She shouldn't have the strength talk", said Pain.
Orochimaru's Perspective
I walked toward the infirmary once Kakuzu left. Deidara stood outside the door. When had the brat return? His presence will be annoying but should affect my plans. He's a mere child compared to me.
"Why are you here?" asked Deidara.
"I'm worried about a fellow teammate", I said.
"You don't give a fuck about, Snow or anyone else in this organization", said Deidara.
"True all the more reason you shouldn't try me", I said.
I wouldn't waste any more time with him. I have to work quickly. Konan stormed out of the hideout. Pain didn't leave the hideout. He would go after Konan.
Konan's Perspective
When rushed out the doors of the infirmary, I caught Deidara and Orochimaru speaking with each other. I was actually glad the blonde was back. He would leave Snow. I finally calmed, when I was a few miles out from the hideout. I can't believe he forgot our anniversary. I don't ask for much, so I hoped he'd remember that one simple thing. I returned. When I opened the door to our, he was standing there.
"I forgot I'm sorry, Konan", Nagato.
"Tell me what you forgot", I said.
"Our anniversary", said Nagato.
I could tell he was truly sorry.
"Let's celebrate", I said.
A smile that I pretty much never see appeared on his face. I kissed him.
Kakuzu's Perspective
I don't want to leave her even for this short time. Especially when she in this condition.
"I'll be back as soon as can", I whispered in her ear.
I kissed her softly on the lips. How could someone so beautiful love me?
"You know the bitch can't hear you", said Hidan.
"Shut up!" I growled.
I walked out the infirmary and spotted Deidara.
"You touch her you die", I said.
I forced myself to leave.
"The Little bitch will be fine", said Hidan.
Konan's Perspective
We watched Hidan and Kakuzu leave. As soon as they were gone Deidara entered the infirmary.
"Deidara will watch over her", I said.
"No", said Nagato.
It's sweet how loyal he is to his friends, but I want some alone with him. I started kissing his neck. He let out a moan.
"I know you want to be with me as much as I want to be with you", I whispered in his ear.
"We at least have to watch her until the night", said Nagato as he walked toward the infirmary.
"Orochimaru is on a mission she will be fine with Deidara watching her", I said.
"Patience, it will on be a few hours until dark", said Nagato.
"But I want you, so badly", I whispered in his ear.
A shudder went down his back.
"I know, but shouldn't we be with our friend in there time of need", said Nagato.
"I love Snow, but if she were in my position she'd understand. She'd crave Kakuzu as much as I'd crave you", I said.
Nagato's eyes twitched when I mentioned Snow and Kakuzu together. I giggled.
"What was that?" I asked.
"What was what?" asked Nagato.
"That twitch", I said.
"I've seen too much of those two. Far too much", said Nagato.
"So how was Kakuzu in bed?" I asked.
"From Snow's expression I would say very talented", said Nagato.
"Is he as talented as you in bed?" I asked.
Nagato turned red. He always blushes like when I mention anything like that.
"I love it when you blush, Nagato", I said.
"I don't", said Nagato.
"But it's so cute", I said.
"I'm not cute", said Nagato.
"Yes, you are", I said.
Nagato stopped talking he knew there was no point in disagreeing with me. I finally coaxed him out of the infirmary.
"Oh Deidara you can come out of hiding", I said.
Deidara's Perspective
I walked out of the x-ray room.
"Take care of her", said Konan before Nagato pulled her out of the room.
"Hello my muse", I said as I gently moved her bangs out of her face.
I took the seat near her bed. I pulled the blanket away, so I could see more of her. She only wore an oversized t-shirt. It hid most of her body, but smooth pale legs could easily be seen. I ran my hand over one those slender legs. I couldn't resist pushing the hem of the shirt a few inches to see her underwear.
"So beautiful", I said.
In her sleep, she looks peaceful as if there's nothing wrong in the world. I started drawing.
"Kuzu", whimpered Snow.
"He's not here, Snow", I said.
She frowned in her sleep. A sapphire tear even fell from her eyes. I pulled the blankets over again. I joined her in bed. Snow held something tightly in her hand. I managed to open her hand. It was Hidan's Jashin necklace.
"How did you manage that, Snow", I said.
I closed my eyes. I felt a peaceful sleep coming on.
Orochimaru's Perspective
I activated the seals I'd hidden within the cave. I injected a vaccine into my arm. An orderless tasteless gas filled the hideout. It wouldn't kill them, but it would suppress their chakra for twenty-four hours if only they took one breath. I went to the infirmary doors. Deidara was sleeping beside her. Killing him will take time I don't have. Snakes slithered down from my sleeves. As soon as they made contact with Deidara his eyes opened. He jumped from the bed and took a protective stance in front of her. I nearly laughed.
"Do you actually believe you can defeat me, boy?" I asked.
There was a flicker of doubt in his expression, but it was soon replaced by a foolish courage.
"Don't be foolish. Do you know who you're going against?" I asked.
"Yes, but I'm willing to risk it for her", said Deidara.
"Love has turned your brain to mush. Your clay toys are nothing against me", I said.
"Don't doubt me old man", said Deidara.
I twitched the audacity of the young. It is true what they say youth is wasted on the young. Clay birds flew from his hands, catching the gas on fire. The ground shook
"Fool!" I growled.
His own explosion had knocked him out.
"Idiot", I said.
Snow's skin protected her. I scooped her up in my arm and for it. I rushed out hideout.
"Now!"
A large purple barrier sprang out of the ground. Konan stopped in to avoid hitting the barrier. The Sound Five stepped forward.
"How long will this last?" I asked.
"An hour at the most", said Kimimaro
"That will be enough", I said.
We left.
Konan's Perspective
Nagato stopped me from punching the barrier.
"NAGATO!"
A frog just on the outside jumped forward. It caught fire and soon died. I knew the perfect jutsu to break. I did the hand signs. Instead of an ocean of paper bombs, one appeared.
"My chakra it's gone", I said.
"Orochimaru must have used some kind of substance to suppress our chakra", said Nagato.
"He's a coward!" I growled.
"He knew he couldn't defeat us. So he had to take the cowardly approach", said Nagato.
We went to the infirmary. Deidara lay covered in soot. His icy blue eyes opened. They quickly shut. I lifted from the floor and carried him to his room and bandage his wounds.
"Why would he do this? He's but he couldn't possibly beat, Orochimaru" I asked.
"That explosion was a warning to get us. We just didn't act quickly enough", said Nagato.
"How will we explain this to Kakuzu?" I asked.
"I have no idea, but we should remain at a safe distance. He won't respond well", said Nagato.
"That's an understatement", I said.
I sighed I failed my friend, because of my own wants.
"I'll tell him", said Nagato.
Kakuzu's Perspective
We reached the hideout late. Konan and Pain stood outside. Something wasn't right.
"How is she?" I asked.
"I'm sorry she was taken by Orochimaru", said Leader.
"We tried to track them, but he left no trace", said Konan.
I rage unlike any other took over. When I finally came out of it, the surrounding area was destroyed and Hidan was in pieces. Konan and Pain kept a safe distance. I didn't have the energy to attack them. I took that all out on Hidan.
"What happened?" I asked.
They explained.
"We have to find her", I said.
"I know", said Pain.
