Hi everyone:

So I felt really bad about the last update. I've decided I'm going to do the last five episodes of season 1 like this, and then maybe a little into season 2 to get caught up a little.

You guys are my supporters because you like (Hopefully all of these) my writing style, the story, and everything else that comprises this.

So, some of the situations in these episodes that I do like this will have little stories in them because that's what you're here for.

This one only had one thing I could make a little 'in-story-drabble' for… but the others, some of which are already written, have more.

I am going to try to get these all up relatively quickly. Which means the next one could come tomorrow, or the next day or the next day, but they shouldn't have 1 week, much less 8, in between each.

Once I'm done with season 1, I'll end this story and link you to the season 2 (sequel) story.

And then I'll go with my initial routine of giving shout-outs to reviewers and I'll start doing thanks to new followers/favoriters.

So, I want to thank everyone for being so supportive even though I've been awful.

#120

Shay and Severide are excited for the baby. A call goes somewhat wrong when a fire breaks out, but Mills becomes the hero when he finds a quick fix. Mills tags along with squad and tensions rise. Dawson and Shay have a ride along with feelings for Severide. A call for the ambulance puts the ride along, Tara, to the test, though she is not cut out for the gore experienced regularly for the two women. Mills talks to Gaby about the truck's growing resentment towards him and she says to follow what he wants. Shay gives up on Severide when he misses an insemination appointment and she comes home and he's with Tara. Another call takes a right turn when an abandoned house is discovered to be a marijuana grow house. A squad member is electrocuted and truck drags him to safety. The truck and the ambo are called to a shooting and it is one of Voight's enemies. Tara claims sexual assault on Severide. The gang gathers at Molly's to celebrate the refurbishing and Hallie shows up unannounced.

The baby

"Hey, Emily" Shay calls, running to catch up with her in the hallway.

"So, I wanted to talk to you" She started

"Yeah?" Emily responded.

"So, I told you about wanting a baby..." it sounded slightly more like a question.

Emily offered no response, "Anyway… I got tired of looking for someone I don't think I'm going to find and…"

"Patience aunt Shay" Emily interrupted

"Okay well… I asked Kelly"

"What?" Emily demanded, stopping dead in her tracks

"What?" Shay asked

"You and uncle Kelly having a baby?" she asked

"Well… it would be an insemination… not… you know…" she said

"Sex" Emily belted.

She looked up at her aunt, who looked stunned, "Sex, aunt Shay, sex… it would be sex" she said.

"Stop! Saying that, Emily, I get it. Stop running wild with that word" she told Emily.

"What word? Sex? It's a word aunt Shay. I can say it if I want to" she informed her aunt.

She began to walk, to finish going wherever it was she was going when Shay intercepted her. But Shay seemed paralyzed, unable to move at what she had just heard. She is growing worried about Emily and her recent actions and styles.

"But" Emily called, turning, "Congrats, I'm happy for you" she told her before turning and disappearing.

That was the Emily she knew. That Emily appeared for a fleeting moment to speak one sentence to her. The voice she used had a thickness to it, and there was a glint in her eye indicative of wetness; and though it was wrong to feel good about her apparent sadness, Shay was happy to see the real Emily.

She wasn't a fan of Tara, Tara didn't fit in with the house- or so it seemed. Emily is almost tired of Mills and her sister. Her sister is gone a lot now between the bar and Mills and she is getting stuck alone, and Emily usually isn't supposed to be alone. Her thoughts go wild and her impulses grow strong, the dog gets paranoid and her functioning goes down. But she's managed it, and kept her feelings bottled up- almost always has unless someone initiated a conversation or pushed her into telling them what was wrong. So, when Mills tells Gaby all of his issues, Gaby brings those home as something she thinks she can talk about, but she doesn't know it's upsetting.

The next shift is a Monday and Emily is at school for it so when Shay dumps her drama on Gaby about Severide missing an optimal baby window appointment, Emily doesn't have to hear about it and pretend like yet another person is being pulled away from her. When Gaby gets home, the first thing she tells Emily is that Curtis got shot. Emily had never really gotten to spend time with Curtis, she heard his stories and was thankful that he helped her families, but never really knew him. She was more so scared about the fact that he was dead, meaning Voight was on the prowl.

So, Emily's attitude has changed a lot. A lot of things are happening at the end of this season: Shay and the baby thing, I haven't touched on Severide and Renee (#2) but that ship has sailed at this point, Gaby and Mills, Voight, Antonio.

It's a little jumbly… but… yeah

I hope this was better for you.
