The Departed

Okay, so maybe this wasn't a bad idea after all. He rubs his chest, "Still hurts." Damon whines.

Stefan rolls his eyes, "Can you just say thank you and get it over with."

"Why, I saved his life, too that night, why can't he say thank you to me?" Damon pouts.

Stefan shakes his head, and stands up to approach the two brothers and their careful guardian. "I want to thank you, Dean, for saving my brother, and I know that my gratitude extends from both of us." Stefan says.

Dean warily shakes Stefan's hand.

It all happened so fast, that night. It's now the next morning, but that doesn't stop last night from appearing both vague and vivid at the same time just as a horrible nightmare would. Stefan thought for sure that he lost his brother, then without precedence Fredrick's head was chopped clean off, by a very perturbed Dean Winchester. Damon was of course unconscious from the pain or shock, whatever he wants to credit it to, but he was alive, much to his own surprise. It took a little manhandling, but they did manage to get Fredrick's frozen grip cleanly off of his brother's heart and take him into the house and burn everything, all the bodies, evidence of bloodshed, everything.

"Yeah, well I wouldn't count on it happening again." Dean mutters.

Sam rolls his eyes, "It was nice to meet you, Stefan." He shakes Stefan's hand with an air of friendliness, completely contrary to his brother's air.

"Ric, it's good to see you again. Look me up if you're ever in Souix Falls again, you know where I live." Bobby says. Ric and Bobby hug each other.

"Awe, you made a friend." Damon mocks.

"Actually, I'm keeping a friend, Damon, which is more than I can say for you right now." Ric glares at the vampire with hard eyes.

Damon sneers, "Please, I knew you were wearing it."

Ric glares even more intensely at this, "Damon, I'm not your personal punching bag, I don't actually enjoy the neck aches I get when I finally do come back."

Damon rolls his eyes and mutters something incoherent, even to Stefan. Everyone ignores him anyways.

"Hopefully we won't see you two around." Dean says with a hard voice.

"For your sake." Damon retorts with a scoff.

Dean narrows his eyes at Damon, taking in his threat.

Sam and Stefan both know that they won't actually live up to their threats or promises, but it's something that they both need to say nonetheless.

As they get into their car and drive away from the house, from Mystic Falls, Dean, Sam, and Bobby can't help but still be baffled by the entity that is the town of Mystic Falls, Virginia.

Okay, I know, short, but I do have a sequel in mind. Let me know if you guys want me to post it. I have an idea of what it will be like. Yes, it will include Klaus, and the rest of the originals, as well as a few well-loved characters from Supernatural. Such as, a certain angel, a bartender, and her sassy daughter, hint, hint. So let me know. Thank you to all of you who have stuck with this story to the end, and I hope that if or when I do post the sequel that it will not disappoint you guys. J I think you'll like it, though, so let me know in your reviews for this story, whether or not you want it. I might name it something like, Forgiven Not Forgotten. Just an idea.
