A/N: It has been 4 years since I've started this fanfic and 2 years since I've updated it. I have decided to attempt on finishing this particular GSD series first before moving on to fix the Hetalia one. (Sorry! Hetalia will take a longer time to fix!)

I honestly have no idea how I'm going to go with this series since I've stopped reading Naruto 4-5 years ago. (I stopped reading when Pain was defeated or something like that) I will say this now that I am only going to concentrate on the events from Volume 28-32 (first Shippuden arc) since I'm not sure how far I can go with this. I want to dedicate this chapter and thank those who have been with this story since the beginning as well as welcome to new readers who have joined this journey! Onwards to Chapter 6!

Recap:

In an underground lab filled with mysterious knick knacks and such…

"You're still at it?" Axel asked incredulously as Vexen continued working with the endless test tubes and wires in the laboratory, "Jeez, don't you ever get bored just sitting there and doing the exact same thing for the last oh I don't know THREE MONTHS?!" Vexen looked up from his mish mash of gadgets before rolling his eyes at the red-head.

"Ya don't like it, get out." Vexen replied, slowly filling one green test tube with a sticky solute. "Idiots like you won't understand what geniuses go through." Axel pointed a finger at his forehead and pretended to shot himself.

"Better to live a sane life instead of a mad scientist." Axel muttered. The door beside him opened automatically as Demyx walked in to the lab.

"Why is it that whenever I come here the layout seemed to have changed?" Demyx scratched his head and noticed Axel next to the door. "Hey Axel! Are you teamed up with Vexen or something? Every time I come here you always seem to be here…OW!" Axel's knuckles dug into Demyx's forehead as he tried to squirm away from the deathly pain.

"Oi, did you remember what I asked you last time?" Axel hissed as he let go of his grip on Demyx. Demyx gave him a confused look until he remembered.

"Ahhh, Roxas? I think he's here today." Demyx beamed as he stretched his arms out. "He should have finished the other task last time, so should we go see him now?" Axel nodded as Demyx headed out of the door. Axel was about to leave when he turned towards Vexen.

"By the way, I hope you won't be too carried away with that messed up whatever that is experiment of yours," Axel warned as he let out a sigh while adjusting his hood, "besides, there will be an extra mission for those who don't listen to Xemnas." Vexen returned a death glare as Axel smirked and left the lab. Che, you won't even understand how this is going to turn out… A smirk plastered on Vexen's face as he continued with his experiments.

Back in the forests of Konoha…

"Yo! What are you guys up to?" The gang turned around and were met face-to-face with a taller, older ninja with silver hair. Naruto grinned as he waved at the older ninja.

"Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto yelled as Kakashi came over. Meanwhile Tenten had other ideas.

"Ne, Kakashi-sensei, could you please explain what chakra is?" Tenten asked as she gestured towards Sora, Donald and Goofy. "They're training to be qualified as Konoha ninja. Apparently they're from another universe since they don't know what chakra is." She then glared at Shikamaru who shot her another look.

"What?" Shikamaru snapped as he let out yawn, "I thought everyone knows what chakra is, not whatever yoga is…"

"Interesting ideas," Kakashi smiled as he turned towards Sora and the gang, "Chakra is the moulding of the physical energy from your body cells along with the spiritual energy in your mind. Chakra can be controlled with various hand seals as well as being essential to every ninja technique." Sora nodded, although he looks a bit confused.

"I think we should figure out what kind of chakra you have using these," Kakashi said as he pulled out a piece of chakra paper, "these are chakra paper which are sensitive to chakra. By using these, we should have a glimpse of what type of chakra you have." Sora reached out and grabbed one of the chakra papers.

"Um, how am I exactly supposed to pour in chakra?" Sora asked as he held the piece of paper, "I don't even know what it is exactly even though you explained it already."

"Just imagine combining both your inner physical energy as well as your mental energy," Kakashi advised as Sora closed his eyes while holding the paper between both hands. "Now I want you to imagine both energies clashing together like the ocean waves." When did Kakashi-sensei become poetic? Naruto wondered as the group observed Sora. For a while, nothing happened. Suddenly they heard a rip as Sora opened his eyes and hands to find the chakra paper torn into two.

"Ahhh so you're a wind type…" Before Sakura could finish her sentence, both pieces of paper wrinkled. "Ehhh? You're lightning type…" After a few seconds more, the wrinkled paper became damp as if water was splashed on it.

"Um, isn't that a sign of a water type?" Tenten wondered as the paper suddenly turned into dirt and crumbled only for the crumbled bits to burst into flames leaving ashes behind. The rest of the group stared at the Sora's hand.

"Could that paper be defective?" Shikamaru asked, his eyes widened a bit. "It's impossible to have five elements at once, especially since that paper is supposed to show one element only." Kakashi only raised a silent eyebrow as he handed Sora a few more pieces of chakra paper. The same event happened again for the rest of the chakra paper.

In the Organization XIII common lounge…

"Hey have you heard what Vexen has been doing these days?" Xigbar called as he flipped open a magazine.

"What do you mean?" Larxene yawned as she stretched on the couch. "He's always in that dirty laboratory of his while playing around with weird chemicals every day."

"Apparently he's been mutating the heartless with something called chakra." Zexion quietly mentioned while flipping through his lexicon. "Something about making them stronger and more invincible against the keyblade's future attacks."

"If Vexen is going to make them stronger and invincible, how will we get rid of them?" Luxord pointed out while he put away his cards. "You know that we have to destroy these things too in order to create Kingdom Hearts. Now that he's infusing the heartless with this chakra, it's going to throw off the balance of Kingdom Hearts." The rest of the group nodded in agreement as Xigbar stretched out.

"Sigh that mad scientist," Xigbar complained, "he doesn't realize we have to do the dirty work too. Why can't we tell Xemnas now?"

"Idiot," Larxene snapped and hit Xigbar with one of her throwing knives. "If we do, Xemnas will destroy us with a snap."

"I guess we'll have to wait for the next general meeting." Xaldin joined the rest of the group in the lounge, "I can't wait to hear what 'news' we're going to get..."

"Well it just so happens that that particular meeting is in 2 hours."A voice made both Larxene and Xigbar jump and turn around to see Lexaeus, Saix and Marluxia.

"Hey when did you guys get back?" Xigbar greeted the trio, "Haven't seen you guys for 2 months now…"

"Doesn't matter," Saix replied curtly as he began leaving the room. "You all have your mission reports right? I'll see you guys in 2. Zexion, can you come with me?" Saix left the room as Zexion got up and joined the latter.

"Man he's been pretty uptight these days," Xigbar said as he went back to his magazine, "But it looks like everyone is back from their missions."

Konoha Forest

"Well Kakashi-sensei, it seems that you have a defective batch of chakra paper," Naruto proclaimed while staring at the piles of damp ashes on Sora's hand. "I mean, who would have five elements anyways?" This is impossible, Kakashi thought as he scratched his head. I even bought those papers yesterday… could it be something else? He shook his head as he reached into his holster and pulled out his Icha Icha Paradise Book.

"We can resolve this another time," Kakashi stated as he opened his book and turned towards Naruto and Sakura. "In the meantime, we still have something you two need to complete." Both of them raised an eyebrow as Kakashi pulled out an item that caused Naruto and Sakura to stare in surprise: two bells hanging from a string.

"AHHHH! THE BELL TEST!" Naruto and Sakura exclaimed in excitement causing the rest of the group to stare at them. "Right, it's been a while since we did it."

"I want to see how much you guys have grown," Kakashi said as he put his book away. "The rules are the same as before. You have until sunrise tomorrow."

"Well if that's the case, I'll be heading back to the office," Shikamaru yawned as he helped Tenten pack her weapons away. "I'll see you guys around?"

"I better go now," Tenten smiled as she sealed the last weapon into her scroll and heaved bag over her shoulder with Shikamaru's help, "I have a mission with Team Gai to prepare for tomorrow morning. So I'll catch you guys later!" Before she could leave, Naruto quickly stopped her.

"Oh Tenten, can you do us a favour?" Naruto beckoned Tenten over, "Can you keep my return a secret from Team Gai?"

"Haa?" Tenten annoyed by Naruto's childish request as Shikamaru yawned, "You're already in Konoha! Plus everyone already knows you're here."

"Well, they weren't here when I arrived and your teammates' mission ends today, right?" Naruto questioned and flashed a toothy grin, "I wanna surprise them the next time we meet." Tenten rolled her eyes before she swung her weapon bag around her shoulder.

"Alright, I'll pretend I've never met you today and if there's another time our Teams confront each other I'll just act surprised," Tenten sighed, "I didn't think you would become an idiot these 2 and a half years."

"I say he hasn't changed at all," Shikamaru yawned, "Later." With that Shikamaru made a hand sign and disappeared in a cloud of smoke. Tenten waved as she disappeared as well. Sakura shook her head before turning to Kakashi.

"What should Sora, Donald and Goofy do?" She asked as she pulled out her gloves, "I don't know if they'll be able to handle the chakra situation themselves."

"Gwarsh, why don't we watch you guys?" Goofy suggested as Sora and Donald nodded in agreement. "We might as well observe what it's like being a ninja." Kakashi nodded in agreement as Naruto tightened his hitaitae.

"It's good to learn through observation," Kakashi smiled through his mask before turning to his former students, "Why don't we get this started shall we?"

A/N: So what do you think? I hope that wasn't too short! (I'm slowly getting back into the fanfiction world after my 2-3 year hiatus) I was wondering, should I cut out the Hollow Bastion storyline? I realized that the over GSD series has been really confusing with multiple storylines happening at once (and it takes a long time to carefully plan every single one of them) My goal is to finish this GSD series so I hope you'll stay for the rest of the journey!
