Chapter 14

"Please tell me you are joking with me." I tell Damon as I look at Alaric who is sitting in the Salvatore's living room watching both of us.

"You think I would joke about this. I told you it was bad."

"What about Jeremy's ring?"

"We still don't believe it has the same effect."

"Believe?" I asks stressed the last think I needed is my brother having an alter ego who wants to kill vampires.

"No need to shoot at me. I didn't knew."

"So these herbs, do you think they are working?" I asks Alaric now I little calmer.

"I haven't killed anyone. But we need to do something."

"Maybe if we should him that there is good in vampires, I don't know." I say moving my hand to my hair trying to think of a solution.

"Can't you take the curse out of the ring?"

"I don't know." I tell the teacher. "Maybe but I need Bonnie help give it to me." I tell him and he gives me the big ring and I put it on my pocket. "Call the witch I am on my way."

"Done." I say once I enter the Salvatore's house 3 hours after and both man turn to me surprised as I notice they were both drinking and having a deep conversation.. "No more alter ego but there is something you need to do."

"What?" Alaric asks me immediately.

"You need to learn to control yourself, like not get pissed quickly, kind of like a Tyler did it. You can run, pouch a bag, do yoga or even pouch Damon, I don't care just control it."

"I am going to take the last one." He says playing with Damon who gives him a dirty look. "Now more seriously I can do some running or something."

"Great but you still need to take your herbs everyday in the morning and at night before you go to sleep."

"I know. What should I tell Jenna?"

"Nothing, she doesn't need to know about this." I tell him and he nods understanding. Knowing about vampires was enough for her so doesn't need to know about her boyfriend's dark side.

"You're right. Are you coming for dinner?" Jenna had call me to invite me for dinner once I was at Bonnie's but I say no because Elena and I in a room having dinner won't end up well besides I had promise Elijah that I would meet him at the falls and I didn't wanted to miss it. Look at you all excited about seeing Elijah. You look like a normal woman.

"You already know that answer besides I have plans." I tell them getting my back and leaving.

Once I get to the falls the sun is still in the sky and I see Elijah looking at the water and turns once he sees me.

"So why here?" He asks me and I look at the peaceful place.

"I like it in here." I say sitting close to the fall and take a deep breath smelling the nature. "When I saw younger after I moved here, I found this place it would come here every time I wanted to be left alone, which was every day."

"What would you do here?" He asks me sitting next to me and I look at the water.

"Sometimes I would come to read or study, sometimes I would just stare at the water and the sun. Other times I would listen to music. Just enjoy it." I say and I look at him and he is smiling at me. "What?"

"That is just so you." He says and I smile a little bit.

"What alone and boring?" I ask teasing him.

"You could never be boring but no just doing something normally people at your age wouldn't do."

"I wasn't exactly the popular cheerleader that wasn't me besides I think high school was such a cliché. That is why I wanted to much to leave and go to college. Harvard was so different from here. Don't take me wrong I would still be alone reading."

"Doesn't surprise me." He says with a kind face and I smile at him.

"It was just different, most people were there to really study and be good. They wanted a future. You would go to the library to play in the computer you would go to actually read or study. People didn't care where I came from or what I did. They just would even asks I was in some senses free."

"Why Harvard?"

"It was the best business college and they accept me."

"Did you apply somewhere else?"

"Of course: Yale for politics and law, Stanford for marketing and MIT for Physics."

"Just those?"

"There was probably more but I can't really remember right now."

"I was joking." He tells me and I look at him surprised.

"Didn't realize." I say and I start to play with the grass.

"What made you choose Business?"

"Always been good at Math and I guess I always been good at negotiating things."

"Now the real reason." He tells me and I look at him surprised. He got that? "A girl who loves Nature, reading and peace applies for Business and Law, doesn't seem to fit."

"I wanted money." I tell him and he looks at me surprise. "What isn't that everyone wants?" I say a bit offended and I know he's surprised by that. "Sorry. Once I graduated high school my grandparents from my mother side had died I got 650 000 from them. I wanted to do something with that money, I knew a lot about Math but I needed information about business and you know the rest."

"You found a company and now you are rich."

"Pretty much. I didn't inspire these much fortune but yes I did want I wanted to do."

"And what is that?"

"Never be in the streets anymore." I say looking at the sky and I notice the sun is about to set and I smile at bit then I fell an arm around me and I relax against Elijah's while looking at the sunset. "I miss this back in New York."

"I missed you." He tells me and I look at his eyes, his beautiful Hazel eyes and all I saw it good, again, he wasn't playing me, he did really care. I lay into him as I kiss him softly. Soon soft wasn't enough and our lips started to move faster and he's hands where ob my face pulling me to him and I put my hands around his neck. We kiss for what a long time and there was no more sunlight once we stopped.

"I never actually … you know… just kiss someone besides you." I tell him and he looks surprise and I feel myself blushing.

"How old where you?" he asks me not being sure if he should.

"Why don't we go eat something." I tell him and he understands I don't want to talk about it.

At dinner Elijah took me to the grill which get us some strange looks. We walked about a lot of things, since my company, to my normal work and Elijah shared with me that he also had done some business with the years we had a comfortable and nice dinner and of course we got 'desert'.

"Where is my mommy?" I ask the man who leaves with us. The man I know is not my father as he comes into my room.

"You're slut mother is busy and now you are going to be too." He says and I get scared trying to think of a way to leave my bedroom without being caught. "Don't even try you know it will make it worst." He says and he pushes me violently to the bed.

"Please don't do it." I cry as he starts to take my pajama hurting me in the process.

"Shut you or you don't want your mother and you to have breakfast tomorrow." He says taking his pants and I cry.

"Please." I say weep. "Please."
