Author's Note: I am soooo sorry for not updating. You all probably thought I died. I had exam week and my teachers piled up the homework.
Disclaimer: I do not own Les Miserables.
"The barricade will be here," Enjolras said as we walked in front of the Cafe, "when the revolution starts furniture will pour out of every window, but we have to search for an escape route first," his brows furrowed together as he looked around; I joined him in his search.
"So Enjolras, um, what have you been doing all these years?" I awkwardly asked.
"Um, I've been living with Combeferre and Courfeyrac, building the revolution, and looking for you and Cosette," he answered distracted by his wandering. I was touched that he spent the years searching for me, but I still had Marius in the back of my mind and for the first time I was annoyed by it.
"You didn't meet any girls?" I inquired to get more information; he looked at me seriously.
"No, I haven't had the time for them, and besides the ones who approached me were brainless girls who were attracted to my face," he explained, I felt a little bit of guilt that I had fallen for Marius while Enjolras had looked for me, Cosette and started a rebellion.
"So how did you meet Marius?" he questioned rounding the corner of the Musain.
"When my parents lost the inn we moved into a small apartment and about a month ago Marius moved in as our neighbor and he was nice to me," I gave him the short version.
"So that's it he was nice and you fell in love with him? I didn't think it was that easy," he sounded a bit jealous, but that couldn't be, could it? No.
"It-" I started, but he interrupted.
"I found an escape route!" Enjolras declared opening a sewage passage. "I don't know where it leads yet, but it will help if things take a turn for the worst."
"Do you think Bahorel will fit through or anyone else that is bigger?" I asked making sure everyone would fit through the hole.
"I believe they will be," he said thinking, "c'mon, let's go see if Marius is back and he can help us pass out the cockades."
We walked into the Musian and Marius still was no where to be seen, and Enjolras was frustrated since it was now twelve and Paris was a big city and only two of us could pass out the cockades.
"Since your beloved is not here, we will need to split up and take two sides of the city, you take the Saint Michel area next to the Notre Dame, and I'll take the area of Saint Martin, okay?" I knew my father was in Saint Michel but I nodded, grabbed a basket of cockades and left the Cafe as Enjolras went in the opposite direction.
