Eric turned in his bed and slowly opened his eyes. He squinted them shut again as the morning sun blinded him. As his eyes adjusted he sat up and put on his glasses. He looked beside him expecting to see his sleeping wife, but only saw the empty messed bedside. He got up and made his way to his daughters room. He smiled when he saw Nell standing in front of Mia's crib with their tiny daughter in her arms. He quietly walked towards her and wrapped his arms around her middle.

Nell smiled as she felt his loving arms around her.

"Hey." She said leaning into him

"Hey." He responded softly

"I came in to check on her a little while ago and she was kind of fussy." She said slowly rocking back and forth.

Eric smiled as he looked into his daughters Hazel eyes. Just like Nell's.

"Here." He whispered

Eric moved so he was next to His wife and daughter and took his daughter into his arms. She looked up at him as he cradled her in his arms. A blank expression on her face with her pacifier in her mouth. He lightly bounced her up and down.

"Hey sweetie." He whispered to her

Nell smiled as she watched her husband and daughter. Feeling her eyes on him he looked up.

"What?" He asked

She shook her head,

"Nothin'. Just pretty fond of this sight." She smiled

He returned a soft smile and looked back down at his daughter. She was so perfect. Mia and Nell were the best things that ever happen to him.

"You okay?" Nell asked breaking him away from his thoughts. He looked up and walked forward.

"Yeah." He leaned down and placed a kiss on her lips,"Perfect."

Kensi was sitting at the table with Chloe and Aiden eating breakfast. Aiden was eating his Cheerios with his fingers. While his sister was doing the same beside him.

"Mommy when is daddy coming home?" Aiden asked

Kensi sighed,

"I'm not sure baby. But hopefully soon." She said smoothing his hair down.

He went back to his Cheerios. Kensi watched as they ate their breakfast. They've never gone a day without their father. This was hard for the three of them. Especially Kensi. They never spent much time apart. The longest they've been apart was when Kensi went to Afghanistan years ago.

She broke away from her thoughts and saw that Chloe and Aiden's bowls were empty.

"You two munchkins done?" She asked standing up

"Yeah." They both nodded.

"Alright. You two go in your room and play for a minute. I'll be in soon." She said taking them away from the table

"Okay." They said as they ran off.

Kensi took their bowls and washed them in the sink. She had just finished when she heard her phone ringing. She quick dried her hands and picked up her phone. She smiled at the caller ID.

"Hey." She answered

"Hey sunshine." She heard on the other end. She could hear the grin on Deeks' face.

"When did you get in?" She said walking toward the twins room.

"A couple of hours ago. I slept for a good 4 hours."

"Well that's good. Did they give you details yet?"

"Not really. When I came in they told me what I needed to know. I have to get inside, they need to trust me. I gotta find out what they know and what exactly they're doin'. They gave me a partner that's gonna be goin in with me sometimes."

"A partner huh? What's she like?" She asked

He chuckled practically seeing the annoyed look on her face,

"Don't worry Fern. He's cool. Besides, boy or girl, there's only one partner for me."

She smiled.

"Well that's good to hear." She sat down on the floor next to the twins,"I got a surprise for you." She said

Deeks grinned,

"Oh yeah?"

The other end was silent. She turned the phone on speaker and nodded at the twins.

"Hi daddy!" They yelled

Deeks laughed,

"Hey munchkins! How you doin'?"

"Good." Aiden answered

"I miss you daddy." Chloe said

Deeks' heart broke hearing the sadness that filled his daughters voice,

"I miss you more princess! I promise I'll be back soon." He said. There was a pause,"I have to get goin'."

"Okay daddy. I wuv you." Chloe said

"I wuv you daddy!" Aiden added

"I love you both so much munchkins! I'll talk to you as soon as I can."

"Pomise?" Chloe asked

"I promise princess." Deeks said

"Bye daddy." They both said

Kensi took the phone off speaker and back to her ear.

"Deeks. When you go in please, please be careful. I want you back here safe. Don't do anything dangerous." She told him

"I promise. I'm coming home you guys safe and sound. I'll talk to you as soon as I can kens."

"I love you Max." She said

"I love you more Fern."

"Bye."

"Bye."

She reluctantly hung up.

"Alright guys, let's get you dressed."

She put Chloe in a white sun dress that fell to her knees with a matching pair of sandals. She brushed out her blonde curls and they flowed down to her shoulders. She dressed Aiden in a pair if shorts and a button down dark blue shirt. She combed his dark brown curls out of his eyes.

She smiled as she fixed his shirt,

"My little man is so handsome." She kissed his head,"just like daddy."

She got up when she heard the phone ring.

"I'll be right back." She said to the twins before getting up to go to the kitchen. She looked at the caller ID before picking it up.

"Hello?" She answered

"Hey kens it's me." Nell said on the other end

"Hey." She said

"Listen, if your not busy today I was wondering if you wanted to have a play date with the kids. We can catch up?" She asked

Kensi smiled. It's been a while since she's had some girl time,

"That's sounds good."

"Good. Why don't you come over around noon." She suggested

"Sounds good. I'll see you then."

They hung up and Kensi returned to the twins.

"Alright guys. You wanna go see Mia."

They both nodded vigorously. Kensi smiled. Noon rolled around and they got into the car and drove to Nell and Eric's house. When they first got there the kids had lunch. And now they were sitting on the floor playing while Kensi and Nell sat on the couch talking.

"So, how are you. You know, without Deeks?" She asked

Kensi sighed,

"Different. I miss him a lot. I spoke to him this morning and he said he has to go in and...gain their trust. I'm not to happy about the whole thing. Operations away from each other hasn't been the best thing for us."

Nell nodded understanding.

"Deeks is good at what he does. I'm sure he'll be okay." She assured her

Kensi nodded,

"Yeah, yeah your right. I'm over reacting."

With that, she tried to push the idea of Deeks in danger, out of her head.
