So like I always tell you guys if you have any ideas please let me know I always enjoy seeing what you guys are thinking. (I sounded like my English teacher, that was scary) there was a guest that asked how old the twins are, chloe and Aiden are a year and 2 months old. I know I didn't show their birthday, I probably should have, but I got kind of excited and skipped ahead. But if you want to see their birthday party, let me know and I'll see what I can come up with. so, here's another chapter. Hope you like it!
Kensi had just finished giving the twins breakfast and was now washing the dishes. She really never realized how the loudness that was usually filling the house, was coming from Deeks. He was always making their laughter fill the house along with his. He was always making her laugh, she missed it. She sighed and dried her hands after finishing the last sippy cup. She walked out of the kitchen and into the twins bedroom. She smiled finding them playing together on the floor. The both giggled at each other making a huge grin appear on Kensi's face. She sat on the floor in front of them.
"Alright guys, let's get dressed." She said getting their attention.
"How about, you two pick out your clothes today?" She asked
"Yeah!" They grinned
"Yeah? Alright go find something in the closet and than I'll check it and make sure it matches." She told them . She wanted to check her phone while she waited. She was waiting for a call. Deeks hasn't called her in two days, she was getting worried.
Aiden came back with his green t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Chloe came back with her light blue sun dress.
"You two, have very good taste!" She laughed
All three of their laughs filled the room.
"Alright you two really wanna impress me?" She asked
They nodded their little heads vigorously.
"Let's see if you guys can get yourselves dressed." She said wide eyed
They gave her blank expressions and she couldn't help but laugh.
"Think you guys can handle that?" She laughed out
"Yes." Chloe nodded and made her way to her side of the room by her crib.
Kensi turned her look to Aiden.
"Can you handle it buddy?" She said softly
He nodded,
"Yeah!" He said
She smiled,
"Alright make me proud." She said sending him off.
A smile grew onto her face as the sound of her phone came to her ears.
"I'll be right back guys." She said before standing. After seeing their heads nod she quickly made her way to her bedroom to retrieve her phone. When she came to the doorway she froze.
"Deeks?" She smiled
He smiled seeing her face light up,
"Told ya I'd be back." He said slowly making his way towards her.
She tried to speak, but no words came out. It's been 4 weeks since he left. She didn't expect to see him for another 2 or 3 weeks. But she didn't care. He was here, now. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her as close as he possibly could. She grinned and wrapped her arms around his neck. She buried her nose in his shirt. That amazing mix of the beach and, a smell that was just him, made her smile. She knew that scent so well, and she's missed it for so long. He kissed her head before moving back and bringing his lips to hers, she immediately kissed him back.
"I missed you." He said softly when they broke apart
She smiled,
"I missed you too."
"So the case is done?" She asked
He sighed,
"I tell you about that later." He said
That gave her a bad feeling.
"Where are the kids?" He asked
Kensi smiled, taking his hand and leading him into their room. They were both dressed in the floor, with their shoes on the wrong foot.
"Look who's here!" Kensi said getting their attention
They both looked up and their faces lit up as they ran to him.
"Daddy!" They yelled
He couldn't help but laugh taking Chloe into his arms, who ran to him fastest.
"Oh I missed you princess." He said kissing her head
"I missed you daddy." He heard her mumble into his chest. After a minute or two he handed his daughter to his wife and lifted Aiden up into his arms.
"Did you take care of our girls?" He asked
Aiden nodded proudly,
"Yes I did." He said
"Good." He said laughing
Later that day Kensi and Deeks were sitting on the hammock in their backyard while the twins played in the grass. Deeks had his arms around her waist pulling her close, his nose taking in the scent of her shampoo. Kensi leaned into him, her head resting on half of his chest and half of his shoulder, and her hands rested over his.
"So what happen?" She asked softly
He thought for a moment, trying to decide how to say it.
"The case isn't over. But we weren't getting anywhere for a week now, they understood that I have a family and told me I could come back for the weekend." He explained
"So your leaving again." She said
Hearing the sadness and fear that filled her voice made his heartbreak. He didn't want to go back, and leave them alone.
"Yeah. I'm sorry." He said into her hair
She understood that the case had to be done, and that he had to do what he was told. She just wish he didn't have to leave again.
"Do you go in?" She asked
He nodded,
"They trust me, not enough to let me into what their doing."
She nodded slowly,
"How's Manhattan?"
He shrugged,
"I don't know I mean it's...a lot colder. But Food's the best. And the apartment I'm staying in is great." He smiled
She let out a fake laugh softly,
"Sounds like you have everything there." She said
He could hear that sadness again, he was making New York sound so great.
"Not everything. There are three very important things I'm missing." He said while a small smirk started to grow on his face.
She smiled, and sat up to face him. He nodded,
"Yeah. My good pillow, the beach, I mean none of this is there!" He joked
She hit him in the arm. He laughed and pulled her back into him.
"That wasn't funny." She said, even though a chuckle escaped her mouth
"I thought so." He smiled
Later that night, Kensi was putting the twins to bed. Chloe was already out cold in her bed, but Kensi had Aiden in her arms. The tired little boy rested his cheek on her shoulder, his arms barley resting on her upper arms. Deeks walked in and leaded in the doorway, wearing a small smile that grew at the sight he saw. His wife was singing, yes singing, in a whisper to their son.
"Out came the sun and dried up all the rain. And the itsy bisty spider, went up the spout again." She sang
She really had a nice voice, of corse she would never be caught dead singing. His breathing became slow, a slow pattern that kept repeating. She checked to see that his eyes were closed, she slowly walked over and rested him in the crib. She grabbed his favorite yellow, blue striped blanket and tucked him in. One of his little arms coming over the blanket. She smiled at how cute he looked, so small and fragile. She felt a strong pair of arms snake around her waist pulling her close. She instantly became warm. Even now, after all this time, being close to him made her knees go weak. Feeling his warm breath slipping down her neck, his lips pressing a sweet, soft kiss to the back of her head. She leaned in to him, feeling his body heat pressing to her back. After a few moments, she turned in his arms, wrapping her arms around him. Her head rested on his chest, the sound of his steady heart beat filling her ear. Again, his lips pressed a kiss her head. She felt his fingers curl around her waist, while his other hand came to her hair. Fingers twisting, running through the silky strands. She had been craving a moment like this ever since he left, and now he's back. She tried to push the fact that he had to go back, to the back of her head.
After their little snuggled session, they made their way to the bedroom. I KNOW WHAT YOUR THINKING, but no. They didn't do anything, only changed and went to bed. At first, they laid on their backs, looking up at the ceiling. But needing her, Deeks moved closer and his arm draped over her. Theirs hands met, their fingers intertwining, never wanting to let go. They didn't say anything, but the message was clear. He had to leave, that he couldn't help. But he would do whatever it took to return. Safe and sound.
I hope you guys like it. As you could probably see I got pretty deep in that second to last paragraph. I just find it really hysterical because I've been trying to find a way to finish this chapter and I really wanted it to be good, and I haven't been able to. And then out of no where I just got that out. Also I need some help from you guys, Im not happy with the title of this story, but in not sure what to do.
