A/N: Happy 2014 everyone!
Chapter Fourteen- "You don't remember."
Sayaka felt a cold and moist object that was placed on her forehead.
Her vision was blurry and her head was spinning. Her body was numb and sore. What happened? She thought to herself.
Sayaka's azure eyes fully opened, she was staring at a ceiling, she felt around herself and her hands felt a doona. She pulled back the blanket and sat up, rubbing her tired eyes. She felt her blue hair, it was messy and untidy.
She saw an ice pack fall onto the bed. "Huh?" Sayaka's voice was groggy and slow. Am I sick? She felt her forehead. I've got a little fever.
Sayaka heard the noise of a lock click, she looked up and the door opened. Mami was standing at the doorway, carrying a tray of tea and breakfast. Her face lit up once she saw Sayaka. "Miki-san, you're awake."
"Mami-san…" Sayaka breathed, never forgetting the name.
"You remember me?" Mami asked, walking over to the side of the bed and placing the tray on the bedside table. Sayaka nodded, before looking down at her clothes, she wore a light blue singlet top and white shorts.
She dressed me. She thought, heat rising to her cheeks.
"Miki-san." Mami notified Sayaka, who lifted her head to face her. "Yes?"
"What happened last night, do you remember anything?"
Sayaka thought, her mind flashed with images of a blue light, a cape, a sword, water and wraiths. Then she remembered shocked faces staring at her.
"Slightly." She answered. "I remember blue light, then walking up to three people before I passed out from exhaustion. I guess." She finished lamely.
"Really?" Mami sat down on the bed next to her. "Because you fought amazingly that night."
Sayaka flushed from the compliment. "Thanks, Mami-san."
"But there are still some things you need to explain." Mami's personality changed instantly, making Sayaka jump. "What do you mean?"
"….Never mind." The blonde stood. "You need to eat something Miki-san." She turned to Sayaka and smiled. "I'll see you later."
"Where are you going?"
"I need to get some groceries; I'll be back in an hour."
"Oh. Okay."
Mami hurriedly ran out the door, passing a girl along the way. "Oi!" She spoke voice when Mami nearly crashed into her. Mami apologised before saying goodbye to the girl.
Sayaka recognised the girl instantly; she was tying up her long red hair into a messy ponytail with a familiar black ribbon. Her blood red eyes met hers and widened, before she turned away instantly and walked off.
Sayaka found herself reaching out for her. "Kyoko!" She cried out. The blue haired girl pulled back her blankets off and jumped out of the bed.
Once she hit the ground her head started to spin and she slumped on the side of the bed, arm draped over the sheets. She breathed quickly and lowered her head.
Kyoko heard a thump from Sayaka's room and turned, she heard faint breathing. Her conscious was telling her to go over to check if she was okay, but her mind refused it.
Sayaka's breathing slowed down after a while, she clutched her heart and clenched her eyes. I have a feeling that I should know something, but I can't remember anything. She thought before standing up, swaying a little on the spot and walking out of the room.
The flat was in the same way that Sayaka had remembered it; clean, spacious, expensive looking and pretty. She remembered the glass table, and the green couch, and there was always a scent of tea in the flat.
But when Sayaka walked into the kitchen to find Kyoko, she wasn't there. The blue haired girl sighed in annoyance before walking outside.
It took a while for her to find the redhead; she had to walk through the park before finding her sitting on a bench, fiddling with the hem of her hoodie.
Sayaka thought carefully, should I really disturb her? She avoided me... She shook her head. No way, I wanna talk to her.
"Kyoko." She notified, Sayaka noticed Kyoko's body tense up over hearing her voice, but she didn't respond.
"Kyoko." She repeated. Sayaka walked in front of Kyoko, and kneeled down, looking at Kyoko's face that was hidden under the hood of her jacket. Sayaka frowned and sighed. "I know you can hear me, so stop ignoring me."
There was a moment of silence.
"How… can you speak so casually?" The redhead growled.
Sayaka blinked. "Huh?"
"I said…" Kyoko lifted her head, to reveal two cerise eyes glaring at her. "How can you speak so casually after what happened?"
Over seeing Kyoko's frustrated expression, Sayaka figured that she was upset, but she couldn't figure out what over. "What happened?"
Kyoko's eyes widened in shock. "So…" She whispered, almost in disbelief. "You don't remember."
"Remember what?"
The redhead lowered her head again, her eyes showing pain and frustration. "Nothing."
Sayaka was extremely confused. What don't I remember? Are my memories all jumbled up? But instead of worrying herself over it, she was more worried about Kyoko, who had pulled her knees up to her chest, and looked insecure.
Normally Sayaka would pull a joke around now, or do something to make them cheer up, but she knew that they wouldn't work on Kyoko, so Sayaka simply sat next to the redhead and looked at her.
"Look, I'm sorry if I don't remember." She said honestly. "But if I don't remember, then I don't remember. And that's… okay, right?"
"I don't think it's okay." Kyoko said grimly.
Sayaka noticed the tone in the redhead's voice and was taken aback. "Kyoko…." She whispered softly, and Kyoko flinched at the use of her first name from the bluenette.
"I'm sure Homura will want to talk to you." Kyoko interrupted, letting her knees leave her chest, confidence overloading her again. "How the hell you came back alive must have been a shock, it was for everyone really."
"I came back to…?"
"Never mind." Kyoko cut Sayaka off, standing up, ripping a box of pocky open and stuffing one in her mouth. "You can take your stupid ideals and shove 'em up your ass."
The bluenette narrowed her eyes in anger, instantly forgetting about the latter's previous display of gloom. "Hey Kyoko! My ideals are not stupid! You think you can go up and just say that to someone after you haven't seen them in ages!"
Kyoko frowned, narrowing her eyes dangerously. "Actually," she faced the bluenette. "I saw you not that long ago."
Sayaka took a step forward, and swept her arm in front of her, in a gesture of anger. "I just don't get you! This is how you treat someone?! It's cruel."
"Sayaka," Kyoko shot daggers at Sayaka through her dark crimson eyes. "I said to go and see Homura."
Startled by the redhead, Sayaka shut up, and lowered her head before turning around, facing her back to Kyoko. "O-Of course."
Kyoko watched the bluenette walk off, spying her back as it got smaller with every step she took. After she could no longer see it, the redhead collapsed lazily onto the park bench, letting out a sigh.
After a few seconds, Kyoko let the sorrow of Sayaka's memory loss fill her mind, but she did not waver. "That bitch." She muttered, gritting her teeth, a shadow casting over her face. "How can she forget something so important?"
"Miki-san."
"Homura."
The two greeted each other in different ways, Homura's seemed automatic, and her expression (like it ever changed) was telling the bluenette that she didn't really care. Sayaka's greeting was all around awkward, the way Homura glanced at her after greeting with her usual overtone of brash attitude and confidence sent chills down Sayaka's spine.
"What are you doing here?" Homura asked, breaking the silence, she found a distraction from the uncomfortable bluenette by laying books on a shelf aimlessly.
"Kyoko told me to come over."
"Kyoko?" The dark haired girl raised an eyebrow. A certain memory unlocked, because she seemed to have permanent and clear access to a lot of her memories, much to her dismay. "Was your first meeting alright?"
Sayaka nodded, before glancing at her suspiciously. "Yes, why do you care?"
"No reason. I am just curious."
The conversation hit rock bottom then. Sighing, Sayaka scanned the room, the couch shaped around the white room like circles looked futuristic, the pictures floating around the room gave her some thought, and they had images of old newspaper articles; some pieces were in different languages. There were many haunting and colourful pictures of old places in history, but there were only a few now, at least half of them had disappeared from the wall. They were all fit in different coloured frames that floated on the walls. The swinging pendulum created a haunting effect that, didn't effect Sayaka in the slightest, but she was sure other people would find it ominous.
You know, because walking into a person's lounge room and seeing a huge pendulum isn't surprising or shocking at all.
Sayaka sighed again, and turned her vision to Homura, she jumped when the dark haired girl was now glaring at her full force, the bluenette swallowed.
"Sit down." Homura ordered.
"Why should I-?"
"Sit. Down."
Sayaka did as she was told, sitting down clumsily onto the circular couch. Homura sat down opposite of her, glaring into her azure eyes.
"I need you to tell me something." The stoic girl demanded.
"What is it?" Sayaka questioned.
Homura paused, seemingly thinking of how she was going to say the following sentence. "Your existence is impossible. How can you come back to life?"
"Eh?" The bluenette stared at Homura is disbelief. "How is my existence impossible?"
"You turned into a witch." The dark haired girl clarified. "All witches were erased by Madoka, so you should have disappeared as well, since you were a witch in that timeline. Under these circumstances, you should have died fully, the concepts you just coming back to life do not make sense."
Sayaka let out a small gasp at Homura's words that remained confused. "What are witches? What are you saying about a timeline, and who is this 'Madoka'?"
Homura's eyes widened. "You can't tell me you don't remember, if you've come back after your witch has gotten erased, and then came back to life, you shouldn't have been affected by her loss because you were a part of the result of her wish in the first place!"
The bluenette slammed her fist on the couch in frustration. "I don't get it okay?! You and Kyoko have both said that I don't remember something, but it's not my fault!"
Homura was unresponsive. "It seems that your memory has been erased since you came back to life." She paused. "Do you remember anything about dying?"
Sayaka put her hand to her chin in thought. "I was fighting a wraith, and I used this huge swipe of my sword or something like that, and my soul gem was turning dark, and then it all went black."
The dark haired girl narrowed her eyes. "Deep down, you and I both know that's not what happened."
Sayaka glared, before crossing her hands over her chest and huffed. "Hey Homura, you don't make any sense, but that's like you, isn't it?"
Homura's same emotionless expression bored into the bluenette, who avoided it by searching her eyes around the room. "Your room is weird."
"Don't avoid the subject."
"No I'm serious, how did you get all of this?"
"Didn't I say to not avoid the subject?"
"Look," Sayaka pointed her finger at Homura, as if to accuse her. "If I don't know anything about this, then I don't know. You got that?"
The stoic girl glared. "Fine, what's the last thing you remember?"
"My death." She replied automatically.
"You can say that so calmly."
Sayaka nodded. "Because it's the last thing I remember, when I died, I didn't feel any burden, a sudden weight had lifted off my shoulders, you know?"
After a few seconds, Homura nodded. "I have felt that way before, but it wasn't in the greatest situation either."
"Eh? That doesn't make any sense. Geez, you're creeping me out."
Homura raised an eyebrow slightly. "I am not getting you at the moment, how can you act so freely after I have just blurted out what I haven't told anyone before, and been told that you have a lost memory, and that you have come back to life but don't know how, how can you be so calm at this moment? Knowing you, normally you would be low spirited at this time."
Sayaka pulled a confused expression. "You hardly know me; you don't know how I feel and how I act."
The dark haired girl sighed. This is to be expected. "Don't you get it?"
"Get what?"
"Considering that you only remember your death, you have not had a life in this world previously, which means that the memories have been embedded into you, the same event in which Kyoko and Tomoe-san think that you died. But you didn't die that way."
The bluenette paused. "W-what do you mean?"
Homura narrowed her dark purple eyes. "Miki-san, you do not belong in this world, you should not exist anymore."
Sayaka froze, taking in the information that the stoic magical girl had just told her. "You're lying."
Homura shook her head.
Sayaka immediately stood up from the couch. "That doesn't make any sense! If I don't belong here, then how am I even talking to you?!"
"You shouldn't be." She replied, waiting until the angry bluenette calmed down. Homura lowered her head. "I'm sorry, Miki-san."
Astounded by Homura's apology, she sat back on the couch. "H-Homura, you don't need to apologise."
"Good."
Sayaka face palmed.
After an uncomfortable silence. Homura spoke up. "There is still one thing to explain."
The bluenette sighed in annoyance. "What now?"
"When you came back to life, you seemed to be in control of liquid, water I presume, you were the strongest I have seen you for a long time."
Sayaka raised her eyebrow at 'a long time'.
"So would you care to explain how you did that? Magical girls have only had weapons before; they have never been in control of something like this."
"I don't remember."
To hold in her irritation, Homura gritted her teeth and hit her forehead with her hand. "You still don't remember."
"Yep."
Homura sighed exaggeratingly, and stood up, before walking over to the desk on the other side of the room. Her ring changed into her soul gem.
Sayaka flinched.
But the dark haired girl only formed a handheld gun out of it, she reached into the draw and refilled it, clicking it into place*. She formed another and did the same continually.
"What are you doing?" Sayaka asked.
"Preparing for battle." Homura replied.
"Now? It's the morning."
"Actually, its 3pm."
The bluenette glanced at the clock, conveniently placed on the wall across from her. "Crap!"
"Tomoe-san will be worried." She added last minute.
"Have I really been out for 2 hours?"
"I don't know how long your conversation with Kyoko took but you spent a long time looking around my living room."
Sayaka stared.
"I suggest you go now."
Hurriedly, the bluenette raced out of the room, muttering a quick 'goodbye' to Homura before disappearing from sight.
Once she was gone, Homura clenched her hands tight over the gun, aiming it at the last picture of Warplurgisnaucht that floated on the wall.
She clenched her teeth and held the trigger. "Why do I not get anything in this world?"
BANG!
Sayaka ran through the streets, staggering with nearly every step she took. I'm still ut of it, she thought frustratingly. While running, she contemplated Homura's words.
Your existence is impossible.
The concepts you just coming back to life do not make sense.
You do not belong in this world.
The bluenette grit her teeth. "What does she know?" But then her mind wandered back to Kyoko. Who looked so insecure… She shook her head. "Stop it." She muttered.
Sayaka suddenly stopped in her tracks when she saw a person in front of her.
It was a girl, she wore a Mitakihara school uniform and her body posture was dainty. She had wavy green hair that fell over her back and shoulders, her emerald coloured eyes were soft and warming.
Sayaka immediately smiled cheerfully and waved at her. "Hey! Hitomi!"
Hitomi turned to her, and her expression became pure happiness, her face lit up and she started to run.
The bluenette gasped when arms wrapped around her, pulling her close. Her eyes widened when she heard Hitomi sobbing.
"Hitomi…" Sayaka said softly. "What's wrong?"
The emerald haired girl pulled away from Sayaka, still holding onto her shoulders as if she were to let go then Sayaka would disappear from her gasp. She smiled happily, tears fell from her eyes. "I'm not upset, I'm happy to see you again."
The bluenette smiled affectionately. "Thanks, Hitomi."
As Hitomi grabbed her wrist, Sayaka spotted a silver ring on her finger, she recognised the language written on it, and it was runes.
Sayaka gasped. What?!
"Sayaka-san?" The bluenette glanced up at Hitomi, who wore a worried look on her face. "What's wrong? You look pale."
"Oh! It's nothing, don't worry."
The emerald eyed girl beamed.
I don't remember her being so happy before. The bluenette thought, what's made her so content?
She shook her head roughly, "Hitomi." Hitomi looked up.
"Yes?"
"You do know…." Sayaka paused, thinking of how to say it. "…That I died, right?"
Emerald eyes turned to grief. "Yes, I know. I'm surprised that you came back."
"Me…too." The bluenette was starting to have suspicions about the girls ring.
But she decided to avoid it. "Hitomi! I've just gotten an idea!"
"Huh?" Hitomi snapped her head up. "What is it?"
"We should have a slumber party again, just like we used to! I think we should come to your place, 'cause my house is…." She paused. "Boring."
The green haired girl's face lit up slightly, although then she remembered something, and sadness took over. She sighed. "I'm sorry Sayaka-san, I've got something on tonight, actually for a few nights, so I might not be able to come for a sleep over for a while. Is that alright?"
Sayaka looked disappointed. "It's alright, if you've got something on you've got something on, it's hardly right for me to decide what you do, isn't it?"
Hitomi smiled politely. "Thank you, Sayaka-san."
The bluenette lightened up, and put her hand behind her head. "Geez, I never thought I'd go through this much trouble."
"What do you mean?"
"I woke up at Mami-san's house."
"Tomoe-san?" Hitomi paused. "Why her place?"
Sayaka huffed. "Apparently I collapsed, who knows?"
"Are you alright?"
The bluenette waved it off. "Don't worry, I'm fine now."
After a moment of silence, Sayaka asked. "So what's going on in your life?"
Hitomi shrugged. "It's been lonely, I've gotten a few more love letters, and…. Kamijou-kun and I had a few dates."
The bluenette felt a growing feeling in her gut, but she didn't know what it was.
"Sayaka-san."
Sayaka faced Hitomi, who now looked at her with saddened eyes.
"Do you remember your death?"
Sayaka suddenly felt enclosed. How can I answer this? She laughed nervously, tugging at her collar. "I can't specifically remember, really, it's all black."
"Oh. Really." The emerald haired girl sounded unsurprised. "That's alright."
Suddenly a thought struck the bluenette.
Why isn't she surprised that I have come back to life?
"Are you alright Kyoko?" Mami questioned when seeing the redhead slumped against the couch.
Kyoko sighed. "Hey, do you know if we're going wraith hunting tonight? I mean those ones last night nearly killed us."
"You're avoiding my question." The blonde spoke. "What's wrong?"
"Do I have to tell you?"
"So something is wrong."
When Kyoko didn't answer, Mami walked over to her to see a troubled expression on her face.
"It's Miki-san, isn't it?"
The redhead sat up. "No it isn't." She lied lamely.
"You're not good at lying Kyoko, what happened?"
"Why the hell should I tell you?"
"Because I am your guardian and you have the right to tell me."
Kyoko snorted, and Mami frowned. "Just tell me."
The redhead sighed in defeat. "Fine, it's Sayaka."
"I knew it." The blonde stated triumphantly.
"She…" Kyoko trailed off. "Sayaka doesn't remember anything."
Mami gasped. "Even..."
"Yeah. That."
The blonde sat down next to the redhead. "Oh Kyoko, I'm sorr-."
"Don't apologise." Kyoko interrupted. "It's stupid to be worrying about something in this."
A worried look filled Mami's face, before she quickly changed the subject. "And, yes we are going hunting tonight; we will be more prepared nowadays."
"Cause of their blades?" The redhead asked, immediately changing her behaviour.
"Yes, I think Miki-san is coming with us."
"What?!" Kyoko exclaimed, jumping off the seat. "She can't come."
"And why not?" Mami asked, raising an eyebrow in question.
"She doesn't know anything about wraiths!"
"She seemed to do an amazing job with them last night."
"Does she remember that?"
"….. No."
"See?" Now it was Kyoko's turn to say it triumphantly.
"But Miki-san is still very capable of fighting them; from my memory of her she is not helpless."
The redhead huffed. "Fine."
Mami crossed her arms across her chest. "It wasn't your choice in the first place?"
"Did Homura agree?"
"No, it was my idea."
Kyoko gaped. "You are not serious." She stated.
The blonde glared sternly. "Do not joke about defeating wraiths, we need as many numbers as we can get."
"Fine, fine." The redhead waved it off. "So when is it on?"
"It's 4pm now, so when it gets dark."
"7?"
"Around that."
Kyoko groaned in annoyance. "Fine."
"Again, it wasn't your choice."
The night moon reflected across the beach, the rippling water creating a flowing image of the moon, its white light shining with its grace.
A green haired girl was crouched at the edge of the rippling water, she ran her hands through the liquid, only to lift her hands up and see it run through her fingers. She turned her hand over to see a silver ring, with a green gem embedded in the middle; on the outside it had black runes.
The girl stood up, the hem of her black school skirt fluttered from the faint breeze hinted in the air.
Behind her, a white creature sat behind her on the grains of damp sand, its pink eyed stared into her. "Are you ready, Shizuki Hitomi?"
Hitomi lifted her head up, and faced the creature. "Kyubey, to be honest, I'm a little nervous, what if I meet up with the other magical girls?"
"It's always good to have other comrades, this city is large, and it would be better to have more magical girls protecting this place."
The green haired girl nodded, but an anxious look covered her face. "Can you tell me what to do?"
Kyubey pricked its ears up cheerfully. "Don't worry, I'll tell you what to do."
Hitomi sighed in relief. "Okay, I think I'm ready." She raised her arm to reveal the silver ring; it formed into an emerald coloured gem above her.
"I'll never regret this."
Homura remained silent throughout the whole search, constantly clutching onto the hand with her ring. Sayaka looked over at her. "Nervous, are we?" She whispered, earning a glare from the dark haired girl.
I'm not nervous, Homura thought to herself, just as memories of her comrade's injuries, as well as her own from the night before rushed through her awareness. She clenched her hands by her side and strode forward.
Kyoko walked beside Mami, who was clearly uncomfortable.
"Miki-san again?" The blonde whispered.
"Shut up." The redhead growled.
Homura held out her arm in front of the three, who paused immediately. "I can see them, and they're growing fast."
The four fell silent as they watched the tens of wraiths move towards them. They held their soul gems out and changed into their magical girl uniforms in a flash of light.
Kyoko stepped forward, but noticed a odd presence beside her, she turned and saw Sayaka, who was frozen on the spot. "Oi, Sayaka." She waved a hand above her eyes, which suddenly started to glow a bright blue colour, and Kyoko flinched back. "S-Sayaka?"
Mami and Homura looked back, startled. "Miki-san?!"
Sayaka suddenly leapt forward from the spot slashing into the wraiths that came up to her, she flipped and jumped up to the edge, before sprinting away.
Kyoko growled. "That idiot!" She spun her spear and took off, Homura fired at the wraiths while Mami shot at them.
"We have to kill them before they get out their blades!" Mami shouted. Homura spun over, firing the wraiths in mid-air, before she heard a yelp from the distance and she turned around in horror.
"What was that?!" The redhead exclaimed.
"I recognise that voice..." Homura whispered. "Hurry up!"
Kyoko and Mami tore through the rest of the demons, quickly following suit behind the dark haired girl.
The three jumped over the ledge of the building, sprinting towards what seemed like faint cobalt light. When they three reached it, they saw two figures, one in which was Sayaka, who was aiming a sword at another girl's neck.
Once Homura got a closer look, she realised who it was. She wore a long emerald green dress that had one long sleeve draped on her left arm, held up by a gold corset outlined in black, the right half of the bottom part of the dress was covering her right leg, and was a shade of dark green and was short on the left side, it draped down the back of her legs and trailed along the ground. She donned long black boots with gold edges and small heels. Around her neck was a black chocker with an emerald green gem shaped in a heart. Her wavy green hair fell around her shoulders, and her eyes were wide in fright. A bead of sweat rolled down her forehead as she eyed the silver weapon held to her neckline.
Homura gasped in shock. "No way..."
"Another magical girl?!" Mami exclaimed, "Isn't she from our school?"
Meanwhile, Kyoko raced up to Sayaka, looking at her. "Sayaka!" Her voice rose, she stared into her glowing light blue eyes. "What's wrong?" She looks possessed. The redhead grabbed Sayaka's arm holding and slowly lowered it, and the bluenette snapped out of it instantly, glancing at Kyoko, who immediately let go, flustered.
"What happened?" Sayaka asked, sounded tired, before looking at Hitomi, eyes wide. "Hitomi?!"
"Sayaka-san…" The emerald haired girl whispered as the bluenette quickly lowered her sword, Hitomi clutched her neck, where the gem was held.
"Why is there another magical girl here? She's a rookie isn't she?" Kyoko figured, not as shocked.
On the other hand, Homura was grasping her bow in near rage, she stepped up to Hitomi. "Didn't I tell you to not make a wish?!"
Hitomi nodded nervously. "But, if I didn't…"
"What?"
"If I didn't, then Sayaka-san would still be dead."
Her words hung in the air, leaving everything other than Hitomi stunned.
Sayaka held her hand over her chest. "I would still be dead?"
"Are you saying…?" Homura started. "That you wished..."
"I wished for my best friend to come back to life." Hitomi confirmed.
"But Kyubey can't do that!" The dark haired girl raged.
"How do you know?"
Homura froze, purple orbs wide, before she bowed her head. "I know from experience."
"So then it must The Reaper." Mami stated, and all heads turned to her. "It's the most logical explanation, he is very powerful, and is said to be the son of the actual Grim Reaper, so it makes sense."
"Who is this 'Reaper'?" Hitomi asked.
Kyoko growled. "A bastard."
Their conversation was interrupted by wraiths suddenly appearing from all sides, edging towards them. Homura cursed under her breath and aimed her bow.
"Do you know how to use your powers?" She whispered to Hitomi, who nodded. "Kyubey taught me, but I don't know where he's gone."
"It." Homura corrected. "The wraiths have blades this time, so I suggest that you stay back."
"I can stand perfectly well by myself."
"This is your first battle, Tomoe-san, Kyoko and I have been doing this for quite some time, we are veterans, Miki-san is not, but she still knows how to stand her ground."
"And I don't."
"No." Homura stated coldly, with brutal honesty. "Now stay back." Her bow lit up in a purple light.
The emerald haired girl huffed as the rest of the girls readied their weapons. "I'm fine."
Hitomi immediately leapt out in front of the girls, despite Homura's disapproval. And held out her bare hands, in them materialized long brown whips, resembling stockwhips and brought them down to the ground, creating a loud cracking down once it hit.
Whips. Mami thought. Good choice. "Let's go!"
In the bright light of the moon, a man and a creature stood on the edge of a radio tower, watching their battle.
The man's cloak fluttered in the wind, his eyes glowing while watching them. "Do you think the plan is going to fail, Incubator?"
The white creature moved its tail. "No hope." It said, smiling.
Meanwhile, gloved hands were raised, as a white puffball like creature disappeared in a flash of pink light. The girl waved it goodbye, smiling. "I'll see you soon."
Suddenly the space around her started to twist; a crack appeared in the midnight sky. Gasping, the girl turned her long pink hair and white dress floating with her movements. "What?" She whispered softly, as her golden eyes flashed pink.
"Reaper…" The Goddess stated. "I won't let you hurt my friends."
A/N: Well, that chapter was longer than usual, 2000 words over the limit (3000), but I hope you liked it.
Hitomi's magical girl outfit was designed by my sister, BrokenAngel91, so everyone thank her!
Frankly, again, I am disappointed with the lack of reviews; I won't know what you think of my story unless you review! Thank you StormFarron185 and BrokenAngel91 for reviewing (most) of my chapters so far, also thanks to Hazelnut Tre.
