A few minutes later, Matthias, Alia, Trey and Percy had made it back to the warehouse.
Percy looked at his watch. "Our back up is due to be here any second."
Then, as if on cue, a black SUV pulled up and Mr. Talbot stepped out of the vehicle.
"What took you long?" said Trey. "We're worried that it may be too late."
"Your worries may be true," said Mr. Talbot as he pulled Mr. Hendricks and his wheelchair out of the SUV. "That's why we have to start the plan now."
Mr. Talbot pulled out some handcuffs and began to cuff the kids.
"Are you sure this plan will work?" Matthias asked as he rubbed his hand cuffs. "The plan seems a little extreme."
Mr. Talbot slid the key to the handcuffs into Matthais' hands. "Just remembered what I told you, wait until the time is right to free yourselves from the handcuffs. If you do it too early, the entire plan will likely collapse. If you do it too late…well, you know what happens."
Matthias gulped. "That's quite a bit of pressure."
Mr. Talbot put on a pair of sunglasses and put a small shotgun in his pocket. "Don't worry, I trust you." He began to push Mr. Hendricks's wheelchair. "Now follow me."
Mr. Talbot led the way into the warehouse. Almost immediately, he was greeted by one of Oscar and Aldous' soldiers.
"Who are the kids?" asked the soldier.
"I found them wandering around near here," said Mr. Talbot. "I think they may be Luke's accomplices."
"Okay, I'll take 'em down to the prison cells in the basement," said the soldier. "What about the guy in the wheelchair."
"I have orders form Aldous and Oscar that if I ever saw this man, I was to bring him to them," said Mr. Talbot confidently as he patted the wheel chair.
"Okay, I think Oscar and Aldous aren't busy right now, so you can probably go into their office right now," said the soldier.
"Okay, I'll do that," said Mr. Talbot.
The soldier nodded, and then walked off with Matthias, Alia, Trey and Percy in tow.
Meanwhile, it didn't take Mr. Talbot and Mr. Hendricks too long to locate Oscar and Aldous' office.
Once they did find it, they entered to see Oscar and Aldous having a random conversation.
Mr. Talbot shut the door behind him.
"Ah, Hendricks, I was wondering when you'd be brought in," said Oscar. He looked at Mr. Talbot. "Good work soldier."
"May I just say one thing?" asked Mr. Hendricks as he reached behind his back.
"Sure, since that'll be your last word." Oscar pulled out a gun.
"Know your allies from your enemies," said Mr. Hendricks.
"What is that supposed to mean?" asked Oscar.
Mr. Hendricks pulled out a Taser and tased Oscar.
"What the—" Aldous reached for the intercom mic on the desk, but Mr. Talbot drew his gun and took off his sunglasses.
"Get away from that!" snapped Mr. Talbot.
Aldous obliged and backed up against the wall.
Mr. Talbot aimed his gun at Aldous' heart.
"I've been waiting a long time for this." Mr. Talbot's finger rested on the trigger.
"Don't kill him," said Mr. Hendricks. "He'll be more useful alive."
"But he killed my daughter," growled Mr. Talbot. "It's because of him that Jen died!"
"George," said Mr. Hendricks sternly.
Mr. Talbot did not move for several seconds. Then, he re-aimed his gun for Aldous' shoulder and fired.
Mr. Hendricks shook his head as Aldous screamed out in pain.
Mr. Talbot noticed this. "What? You said not to kill him."
