I Am Destruction
Ally's POV
I smiled at him, "Then we will." I grabbed his hand and helped him to his feet as he let out a groan of pain. "What's wrong?"
"My back." He said, I could see the tears well up in his eyes. I gave a sad look and wrapped my arm around his waist as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder for support. "We have to hurry, they're going to come back out any minute now." I said as we walked down the long carpet and to the gates. "How are we going to get over?" I asked.
He smirked and his fist emerged in fire. I pulled back instantly looking at the spark in his eyes. He punched the bars of the gate until the metal completely melted away into nothing.
"Ladies first," He said gesturing to the now open hole in the gates. I rolled my eyes and stepped through the small hole as Austin did the same. "Where are we going?" I asked as he grabbed my hand and we ran down the hill. "We're running far away from this place and never coming back."
"Never coming back? Austin this is my home." I said as my eyes filled with doubt. Of course I wanted to be with Austin through everything, he was the only thing that was making actual sense to me these days.
"I know Ally, this was once my home too. But I have to get you somewhere safe and this is not the place you want to be in right now." He said as we arrived into town. I could see my house down the road and I could tell my dad wasn't home, yet the door was wide open...
Dad.
I ran down the dirt road feeling little drops of rain caress my skin. "Ally!" Austin yelled after me. But I ignored him, running through the neighbors yard I arrived at my front porch steps. The wind blowing in my face making it hard to see through the kitchen window. I pushed the door completely open and gasped at the scene before me.
My home...it was destroyed.
Water sprung from the faucet, the couches were torn to pieces and my room... I didn't even want to imagine what they'd done to my room. "Ally!" Austin said gasping for air. "Don't ever do that again- whoa." He stepped inside and looked around the house.
"Fates." He growled deep under his breath.
"He destroyed my home..." I could feel my eyes sting with tears, but I wouldn't let them fall I was too enraged with anger and determination to destroy Fates once and for all. Suddenly we could hear a girl screaming.
We ran outside to the porch steps as an army of fire warriors surrounded her. "Out of our way peasant!" A fire warrior yelled pushing the girl to the ground. I stared in shock as they marched proudly through the streets of Corinth's. "W-what are they doing!?" I yelled in fear. This was happening all too fast.
Austin just stood there, looking as in much shock as I was. "War's coming Ally, we have to leave now."
"Leave now? Not without my father we're not!" I gave him a look and he just groaned in annoyance. "Ally please don't fight me."
"I'm not running away with you. Not now, actually not ever." I said walking out of the house and down the stairs. How could he say I couldn't save my own father. Who does he think he is to run my life?
Suddenly I looked back and the door broke from its hinges.
"Aye let me go!" He yelled as men dragged him out of the house.
"Get the girl!" A fire warrior yelled, pointing at me. I turned on my heels and bumped backwards falling straight to the ground. "Hello beautiful."
A familiar voice said, I looked up and my heart skipped a beat for minute.
"Lucas!?" I screamed scooting back slowly. He stepped forwards, hands behind his back with a devious smile. "Miss me?"
"I-i thought you were...?"
"Dead? Nah, Fates staged that completely." He interrupted with a smirk. "But I saw him kill you!"
"Neat acting huh? Always thought I was good actor, especially at being your friend that was a real charm." He said circling around me. Fire warriors dragged Austin over as he kicked his feet at them. "L-let me go!" He growled at them.
They dropped him on the ground as he groaned in pain. Lucas smiled, clicking his tongue as if hesitating in his next move. "You two trying to escape Corinth's. I don't think so."
"You're not going to get away with this." I yelled at him as some of the fire warriors came over and cuffed my hands behind my back. "Stop!" I yelled desperately as they picked me up off the ground. "What are we going to do with you Austin?" Lucas questioned humorlessly.
"Don't touch me and you won't get hurt. That's what you're going to do." Austin spat at them with anger. His fist were clenched together and I could see that he was trying to stop his anger from getting the best of him.
"Oh I would dare lay a hand on you. That's Fates job, but for you little missy. You're coming with me for some...observations." He said snapping his fingers. "Wait no!" Austin yelled and that was the last thing I heard before everything went black.
A cold shock awoke me from my sleep. "Wake up princess."
My eyes fluttered open, only to see Lucas. Now I was fully awake. I tried standing up, but realized my ankles and wrist were bound to a chair. "Lucas you have to stop this now!" I yelled at him.
He chuckled darkly, "It's ok Ally. I'll take good care of you but for now, I have a little show for you to watch." He smiled and pulled out a remote. The sheering of the plain white wall came down now revealing a wall of glass, and through the glass I could see Austin in a white room. He was breathing heavily. His shirt ripped up and his jeans were a bit torn.
"What are you doing to him!?" I yelled at Lucas pulling at the ropes. "Nothing princess, that room was made for illusions and just maybe it can drive him to insanity."
"Are you freaking insane!?" Lucas growled and slapped my face. "You're an ungrateful little brat." He snapped at me.
Tears stung my eyes and I clenched my hands into a fist. Lucas rolled his eyes and grabbed my face forcing me to look at the glass. "Look at the monster he really is Allison." He said.
Austin stood up, his breathing getting heavier. He ran his fingers through his hair rapidly. He started to pace back and forth, I could see the desperate look in his eyes. The gut wrenching fear that consumed his very thoughts.
Suddenly he screamed loudly. He started pounding on the walls, and I couldn't help the tears that were falling from my eyes. "Please stop!" I yelled but Lucas shook his head no.
"Let me out please!" Austin yelled pounding on the walls. He groaned pulling on his hair as his hands erupted in flames. He threw fire at the wall but none of it caught on fire. He continued his tyrant, repeating the same thing over and over again. "Ally!" He yelled as tears fell from his eyes. He dropped to his knee's. I could hear his silent sobbing.
He was going mad.
"Damn it!" He screamed kicking over a chair. He continued throwing fire everywhere. It spiraled out of control, the way he did. His body was glowing and orange. "Oh look Ally he's almost there. Just a little more and he'll be pure chaos."
"Stop it! Don't do this to him!" I kicked the chair rapidly.
Austin looked at me through the glass. "Austin!" I screamed. He walked across the room and put his hands on the wall. Tears sliding down his cheek, "Austin I'm right here!" I screamed at him. Knowing he couldn't hear or see me gave me no hope to even try anymore. His body started to tremble and glow a fiery orange.
He pounded on the wall hard as the light left his eyes. It looked like he couldn't even breathe. He stumbled backwards, he ripped off his shirt completely and gasped for air. He dropped to his knee's as he looked at me one last time.
Suddenly he looked up, his whole aura changed. An intense vibe shot through me that that wasn't my Austin anymore. Dark fog circled around him and his whole outfit changed. He was wearing a dark cloak and the hood on his head hid his eyes.
He then stood up, looking around the room. An intense vibe hit me like a ton of bricks. This definitely wasn't my Austin not anymore. I could see his birthmark literally glowing on fire. The way he looked made me scared for my life. Like he would suck the life out of me without hesitating...he gave off a grim reaper vibe. Not only that but he looked like the grim reaper himself.
The lights started to flicker rapidly and all I could see were Austin's eyes. But they weren't his eyes, his eyes weren't even there. They were replaced with fire balls of fire.
A dark laugh erupted from him as the lights shut off in the room. "Did you see that Ally?"
All I could do was nod. I was in shock, that was nothing I've ever seen before. "That's the monster that destroyed your home, took over everything and killed your mother. You can't love destruction." He said forcing me to look him in the eyes.
"Apaka, code 258 fire warrior has escaped." A voice said through the speakers. Lucas smiled wickedly at me and untied me dragging me over to the window. I looked down to see Austin walking outside of building. With slow strides, he walked toward the gates. "W-what is he doing?"
Lucas laughed, "Well hun, what does it look like? He's starting the war of labyrinth and in the end he's going down with them once and for all."
"You're setting him up for his on demise!?" I yelled trying to break free from his grasp. "Of course Ally. He needs to die and die now."
"You're wrong! He's an innocent person!" I said still trying to grasp the whole idea of all of this. "Tell me, does that look innocent?" He pointed to Austin as he touched the bars and they blew up in flames. "He's going into town! I have to stop him!"
"Oh no you don't. I'm not letting you die like this, you're staying here." Lucas said pulling me back from the window. We walked out of the room and went down the hallway as he threw me in an empty cell and locked the door. "We have to keep you safe from him now."
"W-why?" I asked wrapping my hands around the bars.
Lucas laughed once again, "You stupid girl, he's coming back for you and when he's done with you. He'll finish his life's duty and die."
I stepped backwards and fell. Lucas rolled his eyes and left me to myself.
I could only think of four words that would haunt me while I was in the cell.
I'm. going. to. die.
