I Am Destruction
Ally's POV
It was like the calm before the storm.
I looked out the small jail window waiting for some type of sign that Austin had reached town. I was just waiting for some type of explosion or smoke to just fill the murky clouds that looked like nothing but puffs of gray.
Suddenly the cell squeaked and I looked back to see Lucas, the same dark smirk on his face.
"I have a proposition for you." He said solemnly clearly no emotion upon his features. "I don't want your stupid propositions you can keep it for yourself I want to save Corinth's." I snapped angrily.
Lucas sat down on the cold metal bench resting his hands behind his head. "This could save you and your father."
My eyes widened in surprise, I totally forgot that they were holding my father prisoner here. "What's your proposition." I asked reluctantly. "Kill the fire warrior." He urged. I gulped back an urge to punch him in the face as I laughed. "Kill Austin? Over my dead body." I retorted.
"That can most definitely be arranged." He said persuasively. I turned to face him and glared at him coldly, "There has to be another way." I begged. Lucas clicked his tongue teasingly, "You're such a kid Allison thinking there's always another way out of things but not this time not if you want to save Corinth's." He demanded.
"I'll find another way Lucas." I warned for him to not push it any further.
He chuckled and got up walking out the cell, "You better or your fathers dead." And with that he slammed the cell bars shut and locked it. He cockily waved goodbye and disappeared behind the other wall.
I paced back in forth in the cell thinking of ways to stop Austin. If Fates could do it, so can I. I mean how hard could it be honestly?
Ugh...who am I kidding I have no such thing as powers within me.
Running my fingers through my brown hair I sat down on the cold metal bench as I began to ponder ways of stopping Austin without killing him.
"Lucas!" I called out.
I heard the door open and Lucas came around the corner. "Yes?" He asked with a smirk.
"I can stop him, I promise I can." I begged.
I knew what the consequences of what I was about to had a price and if it meant the safety. "Than tell me." He demanded. "I can't Lucas you just have to trust me here, I know what I'm doing. As long as it gets what you want it won't matter how I take down Austin." I said reassuringly.
He cocked an eyebrow but pulled out the keys to the cell and let me out.
I walked out calmly as he watched my every move. Suddenly I kicked him in the shin, he fell to his knee's and I kicked him in the back as he laid face flat on the floor unconscious. I pulled the keys out his grasp and shoved them in my pocket as I disappeared behind the corner and went out the door.
I looked left and right making sure there were no fire warriors in tact.
I walked out silently looking behind me to make sure no one was there as I went down some stairs.
Suddenly I was shoved up against the wall. "What the hell do you think your doing?" Lucas snapped angrily. "W-wait I thought..."
"You knocked me out I'm afraid you're wrong but we don't have time for that you need to stop Austin." He practically dragged me across the long corridor and into a room. "What are you doing?" I pulled away from his grasp and he rolled his eyes. He walked over opening a door. "This is a secret passage way out of this empire use it and find Austin before he destroys Corinth's." He explained pulling me toward the door.
"Why are you acting all nice all of a sudden?" I snapped.
He chuckled, "I've always been nice sweetheart, I told you this was the plan."
"Plan?" I asked. "I told you to find the fire warrior didn't I? Doing that would send Fates off his track of killing every living Siren for no reason, being one of his stupid guards was just a facade, as if I would ever hurt you truly. I mean you're still alive right?"
I blinked a couple times trying to process everything he's said.
"So you were pretending to keep Austin and I apart!?" I screamed angrily as I slapped his shoulder. He chuckled and hugged me. "I did this to save Corinth's and to save you Allison."
I hugged him back missing his warm hugs. I knew he was still inside there...
"But you do realize what you have to do to save Austin correct?" He said slowly rubbing my back. I nodded sadly yet understandingly. He kissed my forehead as people began to bang on the door. "Lucas Antonio Delgado! We are here to arrest you!" Fire warriors began to yell.
I looked at him worriedly as I tugged on his sleeve. "Come with me." I begged.
He shook his head, "No Ally I'd rather be killing fire warriors even if it was the last thing I would get to do in the world." He flicked his hand toward the door as a coating of ice began to shield the door completely.
"Lucas you owe me this come with me." I demanded. He looked at the door as he could hear the fire warriors tried to break through, "Fine you're going to need help with the fire warrior anyways."
We both stepped in and closed the door. We ran down the small path as it began to elevate into a hill, I could see a pair of black bars. I shook on them but they wouldn't break loose. "We're trapped." I said exasperated.
Lucas' hand grazed over the bars turning them into pure, cold ice. He balled his hand up into a fist and punched the ice as the bars broke completely. "Ladies first." He gestured. I rolled my eyes and stepped out.
I looked over to see the path leading into Corinth's and we ran for it.
Suddenly guards surrounded the gates. "W-what's going on?" I asked stepping back. I looked back to see a guard holding down Lucas as he tried to get away. Fates appeared out from the dark shadows, he started to clap slowly as if this was amusing.
"Well well well, someone thought they could escape my headquarters? You would be setting yourself up for your own death." He snapped. Suddenly Austin appeared as well, his eyes lit with flames and a cape around his body that covered his head as well. "I could tell Austin to kill you but that won't be a choice since he's already set on killing you." He chimed nonchalantly.
"So in other words, kill the girl."
Austin stepped forward as I stepped back. "No! Stop!" Lucas screamed.
Austin then came towards Lucas, I could see the fear in Lucas' eyes as he grabbed his arm. Smoke arose from his hand as Lucas screamed in pain, I finally realized he was burning his arm. "Stop Austin stop!" I ran over and pushed him as he stumbled back a little bit.
I looked at Lucas' arm as his own skin was burned away.
"Finish her!" Fates demanded. Austin chuckled darkly as he came closer, "With pleasure..."
