"Bye Giana, it was nice meeting you! Hopefully we can do this again sometime." Chloe said smiling towards Brian's beautiful Mai, girlfriend. Surprisingly Chloe was only on edge for an hour or so after Alek told her that Giana was a Mai. Chloe had acted to the best of her capabilities; pecking Alek on the cheek occasionally, allowing him to wrap his arm around her, and even leaning into his touch. It had been awkward at first, but slowly both Alek and Chloe relaxed and just pretended. When Chloe pecked Alek on the cheek the first time she was afraid of his reaction. But Alek was an amazing actor, he had just smiled lazily at Chloe and turned his attention back to Brian and his girlfriend.

That made the second, third and forth time more comfortable and easier. Chloe inwardly admitted the third time that the little kisses on the cheek weren't just for show-she was enjoying feeling his cheek against her lips. Although she would never admit that.

"Bye Brian," Chloe said reaching in for a light hug. Brian recuperated the hug, squeezing her lightly. Chloe felt the hair on the back of her neck stand up as if someone was watching her. She slowly pulled out of Brian's embrace and turned back towards her husband.

She found Alek hunched over and the light from his iphone shining on his face as he typed something down. Most likely Giana's number. Chloe looked across from Alek towards Giana to find her giving Chloe a death glare. Chloe's body froze for less than a second as she stared back at Giana's harsh glare. Chloe could see the look of pure hatred in Giana's brown eyes. Confused as to why Giana would be feeling that way, Chloe bit her tongue and moved towards Alek.

Alek shoved his phone into the back of his pockets and wrapped an arm loosely around Chloe's side as soon as she was beside him. Chloe smiled up at him trying desperately to keep up the show, but she knew there was no point. Alek would know something was off, he always did. He slowly rubbed circles on her back, while his other hand awkwardly waved goodbye to Brian and Giana.

Chloe felt like she was going to puke.

Giana somehow knew that Alek and Chloe's relationship was all an act. She had to. There was no other plausible reason for Giana to throw her such a heated glare. Chloe breathed in a deep sigh, and moved closer to Alek's side.

"What's wrong Chloe?" Alek asked once Brian and Giana were out of sight. He moved around so he wasn't at the side of her, but now in front of her.

"Nothing," she replied paranoid. Alek sighed, and placed his hands on her cheek cradling them gently. He looked deep into Chloe's worried eyes before backing up, and grabbing her hand.

"You look overheated lets go inside and get you a drink." Alek said, walking back into the club and dragging her behind him. Chloe followed behind him without a word. She knew Alek understood why she couldn't say anything outside. Apart of her didnt want to say her thoughts out loud, because that could mean theres a small possibility of it being true. Giana was Mai, and could possibly still be around to hear them. Chloe did feel a pit in her stomach, as if something went terribly wrong tonight, but there was a possibility that Chloe was over thinking it, and that Giana just gave her that heated look because she was jealous.

"What's the matter Chloe?" Alek asked again once they were in the safety of the loud music blaring club. No one would be able to hear them. He had stopped walking, and now they were standing near the bar of the club, his hands on her waist, his head bent low to look her directly into her eyes.

"I think Giana knows." She told him biting her lip nervously.

Alek sighed loudly, moving his hand off from her waist and onto her cheeks, holding her head in his soft hands. "That's what has you looking pale as a ghost? Don't worry Chloe our acting was on point tonight." He said smiling cheerfully at her.

Chloe tried to give him a reassuring smile but she knew it wasn't remotely believable. Chloe believed that Giana knew something was up, something that she could at least tell some other Mai's. She didn't want to have to be more careful than she and Alek already are.

"Come on we'll get some drinks, relax a bit more before going home okay?"

Chloe just nodded her head and let him drag her to the bar. He ordered her nothing of the alcohol portion of the drinks. He ordered them both a pop, and insisted they stay in the club and drink it. But than one fuzzy drink turned into another, than another. They stayed in the club for another hour or so talking about books, movies, tv shows, high school, anything really that came to their mind. When it was time for them to leave Chloe found herself disappointed in having to leave so soon. She liked the time she spent with Alek, especially when they didn't have to act like a married couple, and watch their words. She liked being able to act normal, but that didn't mean she didn't enjoy the times he kissed her cheek or romantically held her hand. Alek's touch Chloe found was the best feeling in the world. The way he rubbed his hand over her knuckles soothingly when she was agitated, or how he gently moved the hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear. Nevertheless being married to Alek, and having to pretend to be in love did have its perks. But sometimes he would do that when they were alone too.

Alek wrapped his arm around her hip as they walked out of the club. He wasn't doing that for show, no Chloe was used to it. Some how some of their small touches had emerged into their real relationship. Chloe didn't mind that at all.

"I'm so tired," Alek complained. Chloe nodded her head stifling a yawn. It was well passed midnight.

Chloe and Alek walked towards the opening of the dark alley. Both seemingly aware of the dangers it could hold. Chloe shivered, something didn't feel right. Alek stopped walking and turned towards Chloe ready to take of his jacket and give it to her, but before Alek could even udder a word he was kicked down to the ground.

Chloe reached for Alek quickly. He grabbed her hand, and hulled himself up his eyes turned into Mai slits searching for the attacker. He tilted his head to the side, his lips pulled back into a snarl as he spotted the attacker. Chloe spun around to find Giana standing their with her hand on her hips, and beside her a pale blond haired girl.

"Giana," Chloe pronounced her name with confusion, clearly surprised to see Giana here, and nevertheless with a another person.

"Uniter," Giana said calmly before spitting out Alek's name with so much distastes Chloe would've thought Alek had killed someone in Giana's family. Giana stalked closer to them, her movement swift and cat-like. Both Chloe and Alek took a step back, giving an appropriate space between them and Giana.

"What are you doing?" Chloe asked slowly her head tilted and her hands on her hips.

"I'm going to take you back to England with me." She says in a matter of fact tone going straight to the point.

"You can't." Chloe argued back, her eyes turned into slits once more, and her claws retracted.

"All the Mai tribes deserve to be able to have you in their tribe." Giana said trying to convince Chloe that she was wrong, make her feel guilty for not moving away from her loved ones to a new place with new people.

"I'm in the San Francisco tribe, with my husband." Chloe told her, trying desperately to get Giana to understand. The Mai should know that by now. She is married to Alek, and that made her apart of the pride. They should believe her and leave them to be.

"How foolish and dumb do you think we are Uniter? You guys cannot be in love." Giana roared out. Chloe took another step back.

"And why not" Alek growled, before standing in between Giana and Chloe.

"Alek, did you really think we haven't looked up on your past relationships. There aren't that many Mai's in San Francisco our age that's true, but you have had no trouble finding girls to-"

"My pasted relationships are not of issue, I love Chloe, and we are married. The Mai must respect that, and leave her be." Alek growled out interrupting Giana's foolish words. Chloe could feel the heat and anger radiating off of him. If she didn't stop this argument now, there would be a fight. Chloe quickly looked down at her attire realizing she was so not in fighting clothes.

"I don't believe it." Giana said. Chloe bit her lip trying to hold back from giving her a rude remark. They didn't have to believe, Chloe thought frustrated shouldn't her word be enough for them to leave her alone? She was the uniter for god sakes, wasnt that the highest title the Mai's have for a person?

"Believe what you want, but you have no right to try and take Chloe." Alek spit out. Chloe stepped up beside him, and placed her hand softly on his arm. She had seen his hand flex and ball up. He was so very close to losing it. Apart of Chloe wanted to see Giana and her little twit of a friend running away in fear of them but knew it was better for that not to happen.

"No right?" The blond pale girl screeched. This was the first time the girl had spoken, and Chloe had liked it better when she was silent for her voice was like nails scratching on a chalk board. "Chloe is all of ours. She was not born into any particular pride."

Chloe rolled her eyes in frustration. The Mai constantly thought of her as a possession, and not a Mai. The only reason why marring Alek worked to keep the Mai off of her case was because they believed she was now a possession of Alek's and the tribe he was in.

"She wedded me, did she not? She is my family, and I'm a part of the San Francisco pride." Alek told them harshly; his chin up with pride. Chloe smirked beside him, cocking her head to the side trying to figure out how they'd retort to that.

Both girls tilted their head to the side as well, their nostrils flared as they sniffed the air. Chloe's whole body turned stiff as she watched the smirk being wiped off of her face. Her hand tightened on Alek's arm. Chloe couldn't help but be reminded of lions sniffing the air for their next prey.

"But you haven't bitten her. Marriage is a human bounding, it does not matter to us as much as you think it does. It seems you haven't done the most important thing yet." Giana smirked at them, her eyes twinkling with mirth. Why, Chloe wondered, was she getting off on Chloe's and Alek's frustration and misery.

"We will." Chloe spoke up. Alek had been doing all the talking, and she found now it was her time to set everything straight. She was the uniter after all.

"When?" Giana asked falsely intrigued.

"When we feel like it, and quite frankly your ruining my intentions to do it with all your pressuring." Chloe told them smiling sickeningly sweet at the two girls, who were now balling up their fist with uncontrolled anger.

"Sorry Uniter," the pale girl replied, "but that's not the answer we are looking for." She retracted her claws and starred at Alek her eyes telling him to try and fight her. Alek may not be the best fighter in the San Francisco pride, but Chloe knew without a doubt Alek could take her.

"What was my answer supposed to be?" Chloe asked feign interest, one of her perfectly shaped eye brow arched in question. "Was i supposed to ask Alek to push me up against the wall and bite me, mark me, in front of the likes you of you two?" She took in a deep, dramatic breath, "no thanks."

"No one told me the Uniter had so much attitude. You really are getting on my nerves." the pale girl snarled at her. Chloe smiled cheekily at her, finding amusement at the girls words.

"You wouldn't dare touch the Uniter." Alek told them, his tone telling them not even dare.

"I would." The pale girl said, "but i'd rather have a go at you."

Then the pale girl retrached her claws, and stepped closer to Alek. She made a swiping movement with her hands, ready to scratch Alek's perfect face. Alek ducked barely missing getting scratched. He swept out his foot, and kicked her down, before getting in a fighting stance.

Chloe turned to Giana quickly, to find her growling at her baring her pearly white teeth. "I don't want to hurt you."

"That's fine with me, but I do want to kick your ass." Chloe says back sassily.

As the words left her lips Chloe jumped into action and kicked Giana in her stomach. The chocolate coloured girl flu back and landed on her butt. Chloe cracked her knuckles and bent her knees getting into the fighting stance Alek had shown her when they first started training. Giana rushed up to her feet almost instantly, her face was contorted with anger. She lunged at Chloe her arms out stretched ready to scratch. Chloe dodged most of her swipes before doing a round house kick and knocking her down to the floor. Chloe was out of breath by than, her chest heaved up and down harshly. The kick didn't keep Giana down for long, the dark skinned beauty jumped back up onto the balls of her feet before she tackled Chloe down onto her back.

"I'd hate to scar you Uniter, so please stay still." Giana spit out, her voice dark and silky. All of Giana's weight was on her hips, Chloe struggled to get out of Giana's hold; wiggling her body and thrusting her hips to somehow rock Giana off.

"Do you worse," Chloe said stubbornly thrashing around.

"Don't ma-" Giana began but Alek cut her off as he pulled her body off of Chloe's. Chloe heaved a sigh of relief, thank The Lord for Alek.

Alek peered down at Giana with a menacing look. He had a cut above his eyebrow that was bleeding badly, the blood dripping from his wound and onto Giana's face. The girl underneath him began to struggle, shifting her hips. Chloe smirked. Giana was doing the same actions she had been doing just a few seconds ago. Chloe remembering about the other girl- quickly turned her head searching for her. Much to Chloe's astonishment the pale girl was knocked unconscious.

Chloe pouted, she was extremely disappointed with herself for not beating Giana. Next time she thought.

"Giana," Alek growled, starring down at the girl with so much hatred in his eyes. "You will go back to whoever sent you and tell them there's no way you'll be able to get Chloe."

Giana growled at Alek, wiggling her body underneath him. But Alek just tightened his legs around her and arms were trapped underneath him and there was no possible way for Giana to scratch him, or touch him in general. As Giana continues to struggle, she turns her head to the side. Her soft curls a cushion as she looks to her unconscious friend for help.

"Giana, as much as i want to knock you unconscious as well, id think you wouldn't like it that much so ill give you an ultimatum, go back to your pride and forgot about us, or ill contact your pride and tell them you attacked us." Alek told her moving some of her hair from her face. The action could be a considered a sweat gesture. On lookers would believe that is what is was, but Alek didn't straddle Giana out of lust or fun, and he didn't move the hair out of her face and behind her ear out of love. No that small action was to prove to Giana how much power he had over her.

"What makes you think they didn't send me?" Giana asks, smirking lightly. Chloe bit her lip annoyed at how calm Giana was, she should be struggling against Alek.

"They could've, they probably did but that doesn't matter. Your pride will never admit to sending two members of their tribe to try and take the Uniter without her consent." Alek replied, a wide smirk on his face. Chloe smiled down at Alek. Many in high school thought he was just a normal jock, all muscles no brain. But that was completely false. Alek graduated with top marks, he really did excel in anything he tried in.

"I wouldn't have pegged you for a smart one, but you fooled Chloe so i shouldn't be all that surprised."

"What do you mean?" Chloe asked confused, her eyebrow raised. Giana laughed full heartily and Alek frowned before giving Chloe a pleading look to shut it.

"Dont you see Chloe," Giana says looking over Alek's shoulder. "He might want you now, but he knows that in the long run he wont.

Chloe rolled her eyes at Giana. But in truth the words hit her harder than they should have. Chloe and Alek weren't really married. There soft caresses and sweat kiss were for show. They weren't real. Take away their fake marriage, and you'd get a confused friendship.

"I understand now," Giana looked back towards Alek, who still had her trapped underneath him, "why you haven't claimed her Alek. You don't know how to keep a girl. Apart of you knows that one day you'll get tired of her like you did for the rest of them."

"Your wrong." Alek growls, pressing his weight down onto Giana harder, making her screech in pain. Her back being grounded into the gravel underneath her. Chloe didn't protest at this act of violence, in her mind she thought the rotten girl deserved it.

"That's why were here Chloe. We are here to save you from heartache." The girl pleaded.

With those words, Alek jumped off from Giana's small frame and stalked his way towards Chloe. Chloe looked at Alek worriedly, his face was contorted with anguish, and anger. His eyes were as dark as coal, the hazel in his eyes only a ring around his pupil. He moved towards Chloe, standing directly in front of her forgetting all about Giana, who was still lying down on the concrete floor struggling to control her breathing. She watched as Alek licked his lips and stared at her with so much heat in his gaze. Without a seconds notice his eyes turned to those of cats. Chloe bit her lip, still finding Alek unreasonably attractive with his Mai features on display. Forgetting all about Giana who was still watching the couple with confused eyes. Alek moved closer to Chloe there bodies so close that Chloe could feel his breath on her face. He craned his head down so his lips were only centimetres apart from hers. His smouldering eyes heating her up from the inside. Chloe's lips parted on their own avail. She watched Alek's eyes dart to her plump lips before back up to her eyes, staring back deeply into them. Chloe could feel his body heat radiating off of him, and all she wanted to do was wrap her arms around his neck and kiss him senseless. But she wouldn't couldn't start whatever she wanted to happen. Chloe gasped in surprise and pleasure as she could suddenly feel Alek's hand lightly touch her hand, than slowly crawl up her arm. Her arm was bare and the light touch made a shiver run up her spin. She suddenly felt light headed as his hand made his way up her arm and towards her shoulder. His touch so light that Chloe would've thought the caress wasn't real. Wherever his strong but soft hands touched it left a tingle. His hand reached her shoulder. His fingers lightly danced at her collar bone, the touch so soft but having such a big effect on her.

Chloe licked her lips in anticipation as to what was to come. She watched as Alek bit his lip, before doing something that surprised Chloe. He pulled her dress straps down leaving her shoulders bare, before latching his lips to her neck. Chloe moaned in surprise and pleasure. Once that sound left her lips Alek removed his lips from her neck, he was panting. His breath fanned across her face from how close he was to her. She looked up from his plump pink lips to his eyes. Surprised to see such sadness his eyes, Chloe took a step back. But he followed her step as if he was in a trance, never once taking his eyes off of her. Chloe at first didn't understand why he was pushing himself onto her, why he kissed her neck but not her lips, or why his eyes were so sorrowful but than realized only a few seconds after he latched his lips back to her neck, after those soft lips moved across the span of her neck and down towards her collar before doing the unthinkable- bitting her.

Cliffhanger?

I'm not to proud of this chapter. I know there is a lot of grammatical spelling errors and such, please don't review about that. This chapter was a big struggle for me, i honestly do not know how to write fighting scenes. Hopefully you guys still enjoyed it. And if you did please review! Your reviews do have a great effect on me writing this story!
