Chapter Three: What will Rin do?

"Owe, tow, thwee." A young blonde sang as he counted for hide and seek with his playmate for a week, Rin Neko. Rin Neko was not a little angel like she makes people think; they second guess their thinking once they are pranked by the "little angel". She may have big eyes and long brown hair, but she will not give in on this of hide-and-throw. Hide-and-throw is where if your hiding spot is found you will get something thrown at you, that something is that will hopefully not hurt anyone, Rin always wanted to not be found, but luck is not always on her side.

"Thoor, ive, sx, even."

She climbed up a tree like a monkey would for safety; Naruto never did climb trees yet even though he is going to be Hokage someday he always shouted out to the villagers and Rin was always teasing him for it when something else did not caught her eyes first that is. She made sure not to go too high because sis always said that trees are evil to ninjas because leaf ninjas are always easy to find when they are in the trees and not on the ground.

"Dango Dango Dango." Rin sang lightly under her breath so Fishcake-chan could not hear her. Sis always was driven crazy when Rin sang the song of her favorite treat over and over again. Sis would chase her around the house for hours when she was not over working herself. Sis is always tried even though she tries to hide it from Rin, but Rin knows because they take naps together when sis is not working.

"Ouch" Rin looked down the tree to see Fishcake-chan run into her tree and fall on his bum. Fishcake is very clumsy and always runs into stuff, but Rin loves to hang out with him anyway; they are the best of friends and never really hurt each other. Rin always was worried when some who was close to her was hurt and she would always act like a mother would.

She looked down at her fishcake named friend to see his baby blues filled with tears of some emotion that Rin could not read because she was not good at reading emotions like sis is. Rin bit her lip trying not to give her hiding spot away, but she always did things before she thought about them first.

"Ou otay?" she called down to him, making his head whip up to look at her in shock.

"No I hurt me hea." Naruto sniffed " Ame dowe?"

"Es" Rin climbed down the tree really slowly so she was safe and so that her sis would not leave her mission just because Rin was hurt or someone else was. Once she made her way to Naruto she helped him up slowly just like sis showed her how to when someone was hurt.

"Wets go howe nrew." Rin stated as she wiped the tears away from her fishcake friend. "Auyt Kush-Kush ill kown wat too dos." The little brown haired girl proudly began to drag the little blonde haired boy back to his house.

"Mama? Tay." The little blonde fox sniffed as they walked through the forest. "Mam mak beyer!" He declared proudly with teary eyes.

"Es!" Rin cheered as they ran through the woods on the walk way to the Namikaze home they had no clue that someone was watching.

A shadow followed them quietly as the kids ran home. The shadow was easily bigger than both children, but what was it?

What are they doing?

Something you can't do anymore. Playing and going home.

Something I can't do?

Yes, you have no one but me know remember?

No who am I?

You? Your nothing, but useless; a shadow in the woods. No one loves shadows at all.

No Love?

Yes.

I will make them love me!

Will you? That is too much work for you dummy.

Dummy not.

The shadow beat it's head not knowing what to do to the voice it was hearing. It's gaze stayed on the little brown haired girl with pink marks on her cheeks.

She will be mine. I will never be alone again with her love.

Whatever you say no one will ever love you.

Love is mine.

With that statement the shadow jumped out in front of the kids.
