Violet

A new chapter! Finally! Lol...

Dear Reader,

Just needed everyone to know that I own nothing (t_t)

I can only wish I did.

Sincerely,

"Hello Molly." Molly Weasley paused at the sound of her husband's soft voice.

"Arthur," she said to the empty space in the family room. The Burrow was desolate without the Weasley children and the Weasley matriarch was feeling the effects of this desolation. "Please tell me I'm not just hearing you?" She choked.

"Why did you do that to Hermione, Molly?" Arthur asked. There was a pause. "Look at me when you answer please," he said. Molly looked about the empty home for her husband's voice but saw nothing. It was like a nightmare come true for her. "I'm over here," Arthur said. Molly finally spotted his reflection in the mirror hanging beside their hearth. He was there at the Burrow, yet he was also not there.

"My Ronnie deserves to be happy," Molly finally answered her husband after looking his reflection over.

"And Hermione does not?" He asked. "She deserves just as much happiness as Ronald, maybe even more, considering what she has gone through."

"That girl should be thankful that Ronnekins even wanted to marry her!" Molly's voice rose. Arthur shook his head and looked sadly back at his wife before turning and nodding to someone or something behind him.

"Is that what our son thinks too?" He inquired of his wife. Molly smirked at her husband.

"It is what he thinks now," she answered, causing her husband to become suspicious.

"What does that mean?" Arthur Weasley asked apprehensively.

"All I had to do was plant a little seed and slowly nurture it," she said while her husband shook his head, not wanting to believe what he was hearing and wanting to deny everything. "Just a few drops of Liberata Motus-"

"No," he interjected, disrupting his wife's explanation.

"Oh yes," Molly smiled a sickly sweet smile.

"There is no counter potion!" Arthur hissed.

"Why would we need a counter potion?" Molly asked. "Frankly it is quite...freeing without all those suppressed emotions."

O.o.O.o

Severus Snape shook his head as he took note of what Arthur Weasley said and explained to the Goblin King the effects of the potion and how it may affect a person, while he and Lucius shared exasperated glances.

"So you are saying that she used a highly illegal, non-reversible potion that frees suppressed emotions," Jareth stated with disgust. "On her own son," he muttered.

"Yes," Lucius said. "Frankly I am surprised you have not heard of it. I was invented in 1763 by Noble Prince," he said, smirking at Severus. "Noble Prince was, quite frankly, not so noble. Severus's ancestor was the greatest potion master of his time...the greatest master of dark potions. Liberata Motus was, is, a potion that is intended to free suppressed emotions and motivates the drinker to act on those emotions." The potion seemed so innocent compared Noble's later inventions.

"Well, now I know," Jareth said, not stating that he knew a thing or two about potions and was an adequate potion maker, but he was definitely not an expert on the subject or a master.

"How are you doing, Arthur?" Severus asked the red-headed wizard. Arthur looked up at the dark wizard sombrely and shook his head.

"I don't know," he answered with more meaning than any of the other men could decipher. "When did my family change? When did my family grow so much apart?" He asked Severus.

"Perhaps some time with your children that are in your reach is in order," Severus answered lightly. "I think you will find that the children closest to you have not grown as apart from you as much as you think."

"When does life ever stop and wait for us to catch up?" Arthur asked himself out loud.

"I think you already know the answer to that," Lucius said quietly to the other father. "Life does not ever stop for any of us. We have to catch the quiet moments when we can find them, stop and savour the moments we come to treasure, and try do everything humanly possible not to miss those precious memories in the making."

"Well said," Arthur murmured.

"Quite," Severus and Jareth agreed with the two fathers.

"I really could do with some peace," Arthur said quietly.

O.o.O.o

She could not stand it anymore. She was lying to her family everyday and she knew how he felt about it. He could not stand lying to his surrogate family. It hurt him just as much as it hurt her.

Ginny placed a light cooling charm on her palms to keep them from sweating from the anxiety she was feeling. It was becoming harder to keep up this charade with her family and she knew it was becoming harder for the both of them to keep up the lie, instead of easier.

"That just means you are a good person," Ambry said softly, interrupting Ginny's thoughts. "Any other person would find the lies easier as time passes, but you...you still have that little voice guiding your actions, discerning right from wrong."

"It doesn't change how I feel though," Ginny said quietly. Ambry gave her a small smile.

"It does not," she agreed. "A person with a good conscience such as yours will only find it harder to bear," Ambry said knowingly. "You have two paths ahead of you: One of a great burden you will have to bear for the rest of your life, and the other of complete happiness."

"What do you mean?" Ginny asked.

"Right now your future is at a crossroad my dear," Ambry said. "The path you choose will affect those near to you in either a positive or a negative way."

"How do you know this?" Ginny inquired.

"I am a Seer my dear," Ambry answered. "I already know this will cause you some doubt so I will just say this: Observe. Observe those closest to you. Take notice of how this affects them also, albeit unknowingly."

Ginny sat quietly in the silence after Ambry took her leave as quietly as she entered.

O.o.O.o

There was this feeling that kept bothering him in his chest, right over his heart. He took to wandering the castle corridors pondering upon what it was he was feeling. It was not a feeling of sadness or happiness or even anger. It was more like a feeling of needing to be somewhere. He knew not where he felt he needed to be, so during his 'exercise', as he called it, he used this time to muse over this.

"Sirius?" Said man turned to see his Godson's worried face.

"Good morning pup," Sirius grinned. Harry just looked up at his Godfather worriedly.

"I called you about five times before catching your attention," Harry said. "Is there something wrong?"

"No pup," Sirius answered. "I spent a vast amount of time in the Veil with just myself for company and I used that time to think about a lot of things that I didn't get a chance to during my stay in Azkaban," he said after a few moments. "In Azkaban all I could think about was revenge for your father and mother, giving you a happy home to grow up in, and catching that dirty rat."

The two were quiet for a few moments while one pondered and the other worried. Harry worried over how different his Godfather was after literally crawling out of the Veil and Sirius mused over the feeling that he was currently missing a vital engagement that he had no recollection of. He already went over important birthdays, anniversaries, even dates of death of people who were very significant to him.

"Did I ever tell you about the time we all sneaked out of the castle and went to London?" Sirius suddenly asked. Harry could only smile and inquire as to what they got up to at that time. "It was brilliant," Sirius continued. "By the time we all made it back to the castle it was three am and McGonagall was livid!"

"What did she do?" Harry asked.

"After not finding the three of us after the surprise bed checks, all the professors searched every single nook, crevice, and cranny and there was still no sign of us in the castle. We got a month's worth of detentions with Filch!" Harry noticed that Sirius left out Pettigrew during his recalling of their adventure, not that he minded.

"Severus somehow made sure that Filch gave us all the dirty work," Sirius grumbled. Harry paused.

"Severus?" He asked quietly.

"You called?" Godfather and Godson turned to see the tall wizard dressed in his black robes standing right behind them.

"Do you have super hearing or something...blind bat," Sirius murmured loud enough for the Potions Master to hear. Severus Snape grew redder as he prepared an insult. Harry had heard everything before and was preparing to act as a mediator between the two men before Sirius snickered. It was not one of his regular insulting snickers, but a snicker that of a person who just told a joke to a friend and they expected a light-hearted comeback. Harry and Severus's jaws dropped in surprise.

"You should have seen your face," Sirius cackled. Severus's wand was digging into the wizard's neck the next millisecond.

"Who are you and what have you done with the real Sirius Black!" He demanded. Sirius's full blown out laughter unnerved both Godson and the dark wizard.

"Ouch!" Sirius yelped when the tip of Severus's wand nicked his neck and drew a few drops of blood.

"Ask him a question Potter," Severus ordered.

"What?" Harry asked, trying to make sense of his whole morning spent with his Godfather.

"Ask him a personal question," Severus repeated impatiently. "Something that only Sirius would know," he said as if Harry were back in his first year potion's class.

"Um...what was the name of the girl you told me helped you 'find your way'?" Harry air-quoted. Severus lifted an eyebrow in curiosity while looking at Sirius.

"Her name was Lydia," Sirius answered. Severus looked at Harry who confirmed that he answered the question correctly with a nod of his head.

"What did she help you find?" Severus could not help but ask the wizard he still held pinned to the wall with his wand. Sirius smirked at the dark wizard before using a free hand to run his long fingers through Severus's silky black hair while keeping his grey eyes trained on his black eyes. Severus could not decide whether or not to be enraged by this action.

"This," Sirius said before crashing his lips over Severus's.

"What the Hell!" Harry turned to see a surprised Draco.

"I can't believe he was brave enough to do that to him," Harry answered Draco's disbelief.

"What the hell was that?" Severus yelled at a grinning Sirius while wiping his lips with the back of his hand..

"I believe that was called a kiss," Sirius answered blithely. "And I do believe it was returned," he said cheekily. Severus roared at him and Sirius decided to give him time alone to think about the kiss, so he ran, leaving behind a seriously confused dark wizard, a laughing Godson, and a gaping Malfoy. Harry hastily pulled Draco down a narrow corridor before Severus could remember to notice them.

"What are you doing?" Draco hissed, pulling himself out of Harry's grip.

"I do believe I was saving you from being obliviated by your own Godfather," Harry answered.

"Right," Draco answered.

O.o.O.o

When he walked into the drawing room all his children were there, all but two. He felt his heart pull at that thought and he closed his eyes. He opened them to see his daughter looking back at him worriedly and he gave her a small smile and a kiss on her cheek.

"My baby girl," he whispered lovingly in her ear. Ginny looked away with guilt written across her face. "We should talk later," Arthur murmured to her before taking a seat next to George and putting a comforting arm around his son's shoulder. George gave his father a sad smile before leaning into him.

"I believe my children have called a family meeting," Arthur said to his waiting clan. Every Weasley child looked back at him and each other in confusion.

"I was told by Draco Malfoy that you wanted to see me," Bill Weasley spoke up.

"As was I," George said and every one of his children agreed.

"So is there anything important that anyone has to say at this time?" Arthur asked his children, looking at each and every one of them.

"I do," Ginny said quietly.

"What does our little Gin Gin have to say?" George teased. Ginny glared at her older brother half-heartedly before taking a deep breath.

"I lied," she said softly, everyone had to strain to hear.

"About what?" Percy Weasley asked. Ginny sniffled.

"About Harry and me," she answered. "Mum wanted us to be together so much," she explained. "She even had the wedding all planned out, right down to the flowers and jewellery she wanted me to wear with the dress."

"Oh Ginny," Arthur said softly, taking his youngest in his arms.

"I don't even love Harry that way," Ginny said into her father's shoulder. "He is more like a brother to me and he loves us so much that he went along with everything! He didn't want to disappoint everyone!"

"I'm sorry also," Harry spoke up.

"You have nothing to apologise for," Arthur spoke to his adopted son and his daughter. "I suspect that if you resisted your mother's wishes she would have tried using a potion like she did to Ronald."

"What do you mean?" Bill asked his father.

"I talked to your mother three days ago," Arthur answered. "She confessed to using Liberata Motus on Ronald and herself." Every Weasley child was saddened by his words.

"What spell is that?" Harry asked.

"It's not a spell but a potion that frees suppressed emotions," George answered.

"There is not a counter potion for it," Ginny continued. "The drinker tries to suppress emotions, even urges, but is unsuccessful. It can be mistaken for a variation of the Imperius curse. The person affected by it will not want to do something that they know is wrong, but they will still do it because it is...freeing. They can't suppress the urge not to do it."

"So Ron wanted to poison Hermione?" Harry asked.

"Don't be silly," Ginny answered. "Lavender wanted him to, but he didn't do it." Harry was quiet for a few seconds, debating with himself whether or not he should say what he knew.

"I was right outside Hermione's office door when Ronald was taking Hermione a peace offering," Harry said quietly. "Jareth was there with her and intercepted the gift," he said tersely. "It was a cup of her favourite tea but laced with a poison." A few gasps were heard and some looked livid at the new information. "If Jareth had not been there to intercept the cup of tea I know Hermione would have taken it and at least tried to still be friends with Ronald," Harry finished quietly.

"I have another confession to make," Ginny said softly after giving her brothers and father a few moments to boil in their anger.

"Are you sure?" Harry whispered. Ginny nodded.

"I'm...um...I was...no," Ginny mumbled aloud.

"Just take your time," Arthur reassured his daughter. Ginny nodded and took a deep breath.

"I love Hermione!" She blurted out with her eyes closed.

"Like Love love, or love?" Percy asked his sister and glared at a snickering George sitting next to him.

"Like in Love," Harry answered for Ginny when she sniffled.

O.o.O.o

"Hermione, Hermione, my Mia, my Mione," Jareth said softly while brushing her soft silky cheek with his fingertips.

"What happened to my sweetling?" Hermione teased. Jareth chuckled.

"My sweetling, my Mia, my bride," he whispered in her ear causing her to shiver. He smirked.

"I believe that is bride-to-be," Hermione said quietly.

"A matter that must be rectified at once!" Jareth declared.

"And we are working on it day and night." Jareth turned and pouted at his mother's interruption. "You just run along now while Narcissa and I have a little chat with my soon-to-be daughter-in-law," Catalina said, ushering her son out of his own study while he objected to being treated in such a way and complained about not having enough time to even kiss his own fiancée.

"Now," Narcissa smiled at Hermione. "Just tell us what your favourite flowers are. I already know you like a dark purple colour so if you want that as a colour for the wedding we need at least one or two more colours to plan. What kind of music would you like for the reception?..." Hermione's head started spinning with all the details Narcissa started discussing that she almost lost her footing before lowering herself into a chair.

"Well," Hermione started out hesitantly, "I like Forget-Me-Nots and Calla Lilies, but mostly for their meanings. I don't know if the flowers take on different meanings to wizards or here in the underground. I don't like roses, and besides, roses are too popular for wedding ceremonies...What is Jareth's favourite colour?" She asked. Catalina smiled.

"Grey," she answered. "Not a dark shade, but not light either. Sadly, everyone mistakes his favourite colour for peach," she sighed.

"What about a dark violet with a slate grey and a pearly Ivory and dark red accents?" Hermione asked.

"I think we can work with that," Catalina answered while Narcissa jotted down Hermione's answers. "Now the music and we have a few ceremony dates for you to choose from."

O.o.O.o

"What has you grumbling up and down the corridors?" Severus asked Jareth.

"I can hardly get a minute alone with my intended anymore," Jareth answered sullenly.

"Just as long as you remind her that she is constantly on your mind," Severus said as a by-comment.

Jareth paused. 'Did I do enough to remind Hermione that she is special to me?' He asked himself.

"Perhaps a few roses to let my niece know that you think of her constantly," Severus suggested, reading Jareth's mind. "Preferably red," he added.

"Yes," Jareth said thoughtfully. "Thank you, by the way," he said before heading out to his gardens, not noticing the wide smirk that Severus sprouted.
