"Hermione," Jareth said, a little worried at the dazed look in her eyes. Hermione blinked and looked up at him then back at the turn that would lead down the corridor to The Door. "There you are," he murmured softly while fingering a lock of her curly hair. "The Door has been affecting you again."

"Not as much as before," she pointed out. "Why is the door luring me as it is doing to Sirius?" Hermione asked. Jareth paused.

"The door is not actually luring you, sweetling," Jareth said hesitantly. "You are actually calling out to it and it is letting you know that it is answering." Hermione looked up at him in surprise and anger so he continued quickly. "In the beginning I thought it was calling out to you that is why I said so then. In my experience with the Door to Nothing and Everything, it has always been the one to call for those that have passed on."

"The Door is answering me," Hermione whispered. "Why? How am I calling it?" Jareth closed his eyes and took a deep breath before looking down at her.

"You feel guilty for your parents' death," he said gently. "Somewhere inside of you, you felt that it should have been you in their place. You regret that it was not you. You are calling it by wanting to take their place. It is impossible for one soul to take the place of two souls," he whispered the last sentence. Hermione furrowed her brows and looked up at him.

"What does that mean?" She asked. "It sounds as if you are implying that a one can take the place of the other." Jareth pulled her into his arms and rested his head on the crook of her neck.

"Can you tell me, my sweetling..." he paused, "can you tell me that you see yourself having a happy future with me?" He asked quietly, inwardly dreading her answer when she took a few moments to answer and looked up at him with watery eyes.

"In just a matter of weeks you have learned more about me than Ronald ever bothered to learn," she quietly replied. "We both want to make each other happy," she smiled softly. "We are helping each other grow in different ways that is changing us individually and together as a couple...as a family." He smiled down at her.

"Change is inevitable," Hermione said. "Neither you or I are aiming to change our dominant traits or character flaws to match each other. From the beginning we started out complimenting the other. Bearing this in mind, I can see that our future is one that I can be more than happy with. We are fortunate to have each other. At one point in my life I thought I felt the same for him. I thought I would break, completely, if I were to loose him, but I did not.

"What we have, what we are building together, I most definitely would break if I ever lost this," Hermione said, feeling lighter as she spoke. "I do regret my parents' death and the circumstances behind it, and there is...was...a point in my life where I would have traded places with them so they could live because I did not feel like my future was worth theirs," she admitted tearfully while Jareth wiped away her tears with his thumbs. "The future that we are building together is most definitely worth living and I know how terribly upset my parents would be if I gave this up for them...they would want me to be happy."

"Do you know how full that makes my heart feel," Jareth whispered, laying soft kisses all over her face and neck. "Let me in Hermione," he said softly, laying a kiss behind her ear, lightly running his teeth over it, teasing the same spot with the tip of his tongue, and gently sucking on her skin. Hermione moaned and he pushed his arousal into her stomach and groaned.

"There you are!" Jareth groaned in frustration when he heard his mother's voice. He glared back at her and she answered with a lift of her eyebrow. He looked away, duly chastised with that simple look from his mother and she gave him a firm nod.

"It is time Hermione," Narcissa smiled at the couple. Hermione muffled her growl in Jareth's chest and he chuckled.

"I feel the same way," he whispered for only her to hear.

"Do we have to?" Hermione asked. Narcissa and Catalina just smiled indulgently at the couple.

"It is tradition," Catalina said.

"Screw tradition," Hermione muttered under her breath. Jareth laughed and the mothers looked at them inquiringly. "I'm coming," she said in a normal voice.

"If only," Jareth murmured. Hermione elbowed him and Narcissa lightly snorted, glancing up at him mirthfully and shook her head in amusement before guiding a protesting Hermione away. "We hardly get to spend time together anymore," Jareth griped to the mothers. "And the time we do have together is either overseen by Narcissa and you, or interrupted by the both of you."

"Stop complaining and put yourself to work," Catalina said. "Forty-eight hours without seeing Hermione will not kill either of you. Besides," she said, "I am sure there is plenty of work to keep yourself occupied, your Majesty," she said pointedly.

"Fine," Jareth grumbled.

"Don't like you," the little boy whispered stubbornly to his four-month-old baby brother. "Mommy spends more time with you now!" He glared at his sibling who was gurgling happily away in the cot their father had spent time on piecing together.

"Cole!" he heard his mother call. He swiftly turned in fright, thinking that his mother had overheard him, but she had entered the nursery and grabbed her car keys. "Mrs. Gerald is downstairs. You will listen to her and do what she tells you to while I am gone," his mother said hurriedly, already leaving the room.

"Where're you going?" Cole called out to his mother's back.

"Emergency," was all she said before the door to the entrance hall closed behind her. He opened the door only to have the front doors slam closed. Mrs. Gerald placed a hand on his shoulder before he could run out of the entrance hall. "What happened?" He asked her, looking up innocently into her teary eyes.

Mrs. Gerald squatted and pulled him into a hug before answering, "There has been an accident. I don't know exactly what happened, but your mother may be coming home late."

"We need a new plan!" The Head Auror hissed. "We have to get into Gringott's. I am sure that is the way into the Underground!"

"We've already tried drawing the Goblin King out with wishing away muggle orphans," one of the junior Aurors spoke up. "The only thing that occurred were pranks played by those damned goblins and a note left behind informing the wisher that they had thirteen hours to get to the castle at the centre of the Labyrinth if they wanted the child back."

"We have the Ministry's Potions and Spells Department working on a potion and a spell that will allow wizards to cross dimensions," a senior Auror informed the small group of seven Aurors.

"There is the glass ceiling," another Auror spoke up. Everyone turned to the seventh and last member of the group. He would have been left out of the group of the Minister's planners, but Minister Bones was adamant that Quentin Oaksen be allowed to be a part of this group of strategy planners.

"Explain," the Head Auror demanded.

Quentin cleared his throat and answered, "Well how did the Golden Trio escape from Gringott's?" He asked. "We all know the goblins spelled the glass so that no one can escape that way again, but did they spell it so that no one would enter through the ceiling?" The room broke out into murmurs while the Head Auror gave Oaksen a wide smile and a slap on the back.

"I believe Minister Bones was correct in wanting you to be a part of this group," he said. "Now what spells and charms are the best for infiltrating the Bank?" He asked. "I am partial to the Blasting Curse, but as we all know that is a dead give away to our invasion, which, I feel I cannot emphasise enough, must remain as covert as is magically and humanly possible."

"I believe muggles have a tool called a glass cutter," Quentin informed the group. "I believe the glass ceiling was reconstructed with a thin layer of glass spelled with magic to remain intact under extreme weather conditions. We do not want to set off any wards entering the building, so why not use a little muggle invention that is made up of no magic and will not be detected? Our wands will do just that when used inside."

"I really like you." Quentin received another slap on the back by the Head Auror. "We'll enter the muggle way," he informed the group. "We will not use any charms or spells unless they are to defend ourselves under wandfire."

"He is a good little mole," Jareth commented. Minister Bones twirled a quill between her fingers.

"Unfortunately," she murmured. "I only insisted that he keep that hand mirror on him at all times. If he knew he was the mole in that group..." she let her sentence hang.

"All's fair in war," Severus spoke up behind Jareth. Minister Bones gave him a tilt of her head in acknowledgement. "What of the people's opinion on the Golden Duo?" He asked. Minister Bones sighed.

"The people refuse to believe that Harry Potter and Hermione Granger have turned against them," she said. "The Wizarding World's news sources have pointed out that Harry has always been correct whenever he joined or was against the Ministry. Finally the population has caught on and there are small rebel groups that cause trouble for the Aurors. Thank Merlin that it has not gotten out that the two have renounced their citizenship. If there were public talk speaking negatively of the Golden Duo, the person or group would find themselves cursed or hexed, and I am sure the public would follow Potter and Granger into the Underground.

"Ronald Weasley and his fiancée have found themselves at the end of quite a few well-aimed wands. The youngest Weasley boy now finds himself no longer counted amongst the once Golden Trio. Did you know he is even being erased from the history books?" She asked and smirked, to her audience's amusement. "The books are now recording the Golden Duo as the Defeaters of Voldemort and emphasise Weasley's abandonment of his friends during their horcrux hunt."

"It is everything that the thrice damned bastard deserves for hurting my daughter," Lucius hissed. "Sorry Arthur," he said.

"No you're not," Arthur gave him a sad half-smile. "Unfortunately it is true. Even I can admit that about my son," he said softly, accepting Lucius and Severus's squeeze to each of his shoulders as a comforting gesture.

O.o.O.o

My Dearest Sweetling,

I find myself thinking of you constantly during our long separation. I can see you scoffing with a small smile playing about your beautiful lips after reading that first sentence, my sweetling. Forty-eight hours may be a short time to the others, but we both know it is almost an eternity to the both of us. I want you to know that if you ever need me just call, my sweetling, and I will be there before you can blink.

With all my love,

Jareth

Hermione laid a kiss on her letter before carefully placing it inside her small treasure box.

"Hello Hermione." She swiftly turned at the voice, but all went black before she could take her next breath.

Arthur Weasley pulled yet another book off the shelf and resumed his research. After overhearing an interesting conversation he wanted to know the answer to the unanswered question that had taken up most of his concentration. A few minutes later he set the book aside with an aggravated sigh and resumed his search among the shelves of the Goblin King's Library.

Upon his third, fourth, maybe thirteenth perusal of the same bookcase, he came upon a small dark green book with golden lettering that had not been there before. Perhaps it had and he had just missed the book as many times as he had searched the bookcase and just now chose to pay proper attention to small details...or small books. Either way, the title of this book suggested that the information held within its cover was exactly what he needed to know.

With a small notice-me-not charm, and a simple transfiguration of the book cover and spine, he walked out of the Library feeling just a little bit lighter.

O.o.O.o

"Sirius?" Ginny softly called. Sirius took a few seconds to focus on the small redhead.

"At least I'm imprisoned in a castle this time," he muttered.

"Thank Merlin for small favours," Ginny commented with a smirk. Sirius chuckled ruefully.

"So what brings you here today, love?" He asked.

"You already know the answer to that question," Ginny retorted. Sirius rolled his eyes.

"The least you could do is humour me," he said. "You could at least act like you're not here to keep my mind off of the call..." his words slowly faded as his mind drifted off and his eyes glazed over.

"Sirius!" Ginny called him again and added a clap of her hands. He remained the same but she got the feeling he was trying to pull one over on her this time. With a small smirk and a devious gleam in her eyes she leaned over him and whispered his name into his ear. She felt a small shiver from him before he managed to suppress it.

"If this keeps up we are going to have to resort to extremes to keep your mind focused," Ginny said.

"I am looking forward to it," Sirius said dryly. He suddenly felt a sharp sting on the left side of his cheek and looked over at his companion while she tried to shake the pain out of her hand. "What was that for?" He hissed.

"Sorry," Ginny smirked. "I thought you were drifting off again."

"Why you little-!" He hissed, grabbing her and turning her over his knee.

"What are you doing?" She shrieked.

"You know very well I was not affected by the call that time!" He exclaimed. "Just for that you deserve five smacks!"

"I'm sorry!" She yelled before a blue cloth was thrown over her head and fresh air hit her bottom and thighs. She realised it was her skirt that was blocking her vision before she felt the first sting on her left cheek. Ginny shrieked and squirmed in Sirius's lap before he landed another stinging slap to her right cheek.

"I would stop doing that if I were you," Sirius's low voice stopped her. She squirmed even more until she felt something large growing between her and him and let out a gasp before another smack was delivered to her bottom. She shifted, rubbing her arm against his arousal causing him to suck in a breath between his teeth. After her final smacks she removed herself from his lap and looked up at him from her kneeling position on the carpet and swiftly pulled out her wand.

"What are you doing?" Sirius gasped when he felt his lower half exposed to the cool air and just as suddenly felt his phallus surrounded in warmth. Ginny looked up at him while gently squeezing his shaft.

"I have always wondered what this would be like," she murmured as she observed a white pearl form at the tip of the head.

"What?" Sirius asked.

"This," Ginny said, lowering her head and licking the pearl off the tip. Sirius groaned and involuntarily lifted his hips, pushing his phallus further into her mouth causing her to moan. "What do I do?" She asked.

"I don't know," he growled at the loss of her wet heat. "I think sucking would be nice."

"You think?" She retorted.

"Yes!" His voice rose. She lowered her mouth again and sucked hard on his shaft.

"Oh that's definitely nice," he hissed after he groaned again. "Keep doing that."

"What else?" Ginny asked.

"How should I know?" He retorted. Ginny rolled her eyes and looked up at him.

"You're an adult and you have never done this before?" She asked. Sirius blushed.

"I was too nervous to ask for it!" He defended himself. "What about you? All those boys you went out with during school and you never sucked them off?"

"They were just a cover," Ginny blushed. "All I ever did was this," she said, lightly pulling upward on his erect shaft and carefully rubbed her thumb over the tip. Sirius hissed and she smirked up at him.

"It's only fair I reciprocate," Sirius's husky voice whispered in her ear after he shuddered his release. Ginny suddenly found herself on her back with warm fingers sliding through her cloth-covered folds.

O.o.O.o

"Jareth!" Ambry yelled as she ran through the corridors. "JARETH!"

"Ambrosia!" Jareth answered as he appeared behind her.

"Hermione!" Ambry breathed out, trying to catch her breath. Jareth suddenly grabbed her arms.

"What about her?" He demanded. Ambry pushed him in the direction of Hermione's rooms.

"Go," she breathed out. "Hermione." Jareth ran towards his future bride's rooms.

"Ambry!" Severus called after her. Ambry continued sucking large breaths of air into her burning lungs.

"Herm-" she said.

"I Saw," Severus interrupted her, and transfigured a short table into a chair for her. "Take this," he said, pulling a phial out of one of his many pockets. Ambry gratefully accepted the potion and took one final breath before her body regulated her breathing patterns. "All that running was not healthy," Severus admonished her.

"I had to get to Jareth quickly," Ambry said. "Jareth is the only person allowed to fade in the castle now and this one thing could have been prevented if I could have gotten to him quicker!"

"Shh, I know, love, I know," Severus said softly. "I tried to get to Mia on time, but it just was not to be."

"It could have been stopped," Ambry started wiping her eyes of her tears. "I Saw too late."

"No," Severus took her in his arms, holding her tightly against him. "I Saw too late. They just disappeared right after I managed to disable the wards on her rooms," he said, fully blaming himself.

"What has happened?" Lucius asked, rushing towards the couple with Narcissa following close behind him. "The alarms-"

"Mia-," Severus said.

"What about her?" Narcissa interrupted, grabbing onto Lucius for support.

"She has been taken," Severus said.

"WHAT?" Lucius roared before turning to his wife, who had collapsed into tears, to support her full weight. "Who?" He demanded.

"As of yet we do not know," Severus answered. "My vision was not clear on that point. All I know is that the kidnapper pulled her through the cheval mirror in her bed chamber."

"I'll kill them," Lucius hissed. "I will kill whoever did this!"

"What has happened?" Draco yelled. The two couples looked down the far end of the corridor to see him running towards them.

"Mia has been taken," Lucius said angrily. Draco's hands clenched into fists.

"Jareth," Ambry breathed, and started running towards Hermione's rooms. "Jareth!" Ambry whimpered upon entering the rooms and feeling angry waves of her brother's magic striking at everything in their path. Another of the angry Fae King's crystals shattered against the unforgiving wall before he took mercy on his sister and tried his best to calm his magic.

"She is hidden from me," he said, falling to his knees in tears. "I cannot find her with my magic, not even our child."

"Jareth," Catalina breathed, taking her distraught son into her arms.

"Please give us a few moments," Ambry said to Severus and The Malfoys, knowing her brother would be ashamed to let anyone see him in his state. "We will find her brother," Ambry said into his shoulder.

"How?" Jareth asked. "Not even my magic can find them."

"My visions have not changed," Ambry said.

"Jareth!" Catalina and Ambry yelled when he groaned and leaned his full weight into his mother and sister who struggled to hold him up and had to settle with carefully lowering him to the carpet.

"His heart," Ambry whispered. "He needs Hermione," she said quietly, wiping away more tears.

Can anyone guess who has taken Hermione?

I believe I promised to put up another chapter so expect one within two hours!
