This chapter sucks. Actually, this whole story sucks. This is probably my worst one but it's the most popular type of fic to put in the Austin and Ally fanfiction section so I'll keep it up. Enjoy.

Reputations

"So where are we going?" I asked Austin for the hundredth time. We had been driving for nearly twenty minutes and I was beginning to get impatient.

"I already told you," he said sounding annoyed, "It's a surprise."

He turned his head to look at me, raising an eyebrow.

"Are you kidnapping me?" My tone was more curious than scared.

He chuckled and turned back to look at the road. "No, I'm not kidnapping you."

I groaned. "Then where are we going ?"

"You'll see." He said simply, not taking his eyes off the road again.

I layed back in my seat and took a deep, cleansing breath.

He drove for some time, then pulled into the gravel driveway of a run down looking shack. The wood work was all dark and looked as if it were starting to rot. The roof was made of tin and had moss growing all over it. The small building was surrounded by willow trees.

There was a neon sign in the window that read 'Frozen Yogurt'.

"This is kind of an old place, but it's definitely the best I've ever had," He said, opening my door and helping me out of the car.

"And it belongs to friend of mine, A very wise friend. Someone I come to for help."

I looked at him curiously but he waved it off.

"Just a friend." He said.

He beat me to the door and held it open for me.

"You're quite the gentleman," I giggled. He rolled his eyes.

When my eyes had finally adjusted to the light, the inside came as no surprise.

It was a small place. The floor was arranged in a black-and-white checker pattern and the tables and chairs were all wooden and appeared to be handmade. The soft yellow wallpaper was beginning to peel.

The lady at the counter had cinnamon colored skin and black eyes.

"Hey, Kachina." Austin said to her.

Her accent was thick with her native tongue, "Austin, this your girlfriend? She pretty." The lady smiled and I blushed.

"Nah. She's just a friend." He smiled sweetly. "We'll have two vanillas please."

She winked at us and turned to fix our yogurt.

I whispered in Austin's ear, "Kachina? That's pretty. What does it mean?"

Although there was no way she could have heard me, she turned and said, "It mean spirit. Sacred dancer."

I smiled at her, "It's beautiful."

She looked to Austin and grinned, "She keeper."

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo

After leaving Kachina's yogurt shop, Austin had told me that we had one more stop.

"What kind of stop?" I had asked,

"Don't you like surprises?" He had asked, annoyed. "Don't you like the anticipation?"

I noticed how dark it was outside. "Austin my dad's gonna get worried."

"Um call him?" He said like it was obvious.

"MY PHONE'S IN MY LOCKER!"

He groaned but reached over to the glove box and popped it open, reaching in and grabbing his phone.

He handed it to me and said, "Don't break it."

I look at him incredulously. "Why do you keep your iphone in your glove box?"

"Just call your dad."

I stared at him for a minute, hoping to get an answer, but he was focused on the road.

I dialed my dad's number, then remembered that he was out of town and instead I called Trish.

She picked up after the first ring- or HE did. Dez picked up Trish's phone.

"Hey, Buddy, how'd you get Trish-ka-bob's number?" He asked, thinking I was Austin.

"Don't call me that!" I heard Trish yell in the background.

"Why are you answering Trish's phone?"

"Ally? Why do you have Austin's phone?"

Trying to hide the annoyance in my voice, I said, "Just tell Trish that I'm gonna be late tonight, 'kay?"

"Um sure." He said suspiciously. "So where did you and Austin go after-"

"Bye, Dez." I said, then hung up.

Austin looked over at me and raised and eyebrow. "Why'd you call Dez?"

"I didn't- just... nevermind."

He pulled on to a long, familiar road.

"Austin.." I began worriedly.

He groaned, "Just because I brought you to a known makeout spot on the beach doesn't mean I wanna make out with you." His eyes widened. "That's not what I meant! I just.. come here to relax." He said, parking the car on a sand dune.

He leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes. I watched him breathe in and out slowly, his toned chest moving up and down, his muscled arms flexing slightly... or were they naturally that big?

He opened one eye and looked at me. "Checkin' me out?"

I rolled my eyes. "No. You've got something on your shirt." I said, poking his chest. He looked down and I flicked his nose.

"Gotcha!" I laughed. He looked at me like I was insane and I laughed even harder. He laughed with me this time.

When we stopped laughing, he looked at me and said, "I don't know why I ever made you a Moon. You know that hurt, right?"

I laughed, "Don't be a pussy."

He gave me a disproving look. "Language, Ally. Language."

"You cuss all the time." I pointed out.

He laughed, "But I don't want the Virgin Mary to pick up my dirty habits."

I blushed, "You don't know if I'm a virgin."

"Are you?" Austin asked.

I didn't answer and he scooted closer.

"Because I know how easily virgins get wet," He said quietly, "And I wouldn't wanna get you all hot and bothered."

His lips were inches away from my ear and I squirmed in my seat. Could he really get me 'all hot and bothered'?

He raised an eyebrow.

I laughed and pushed him away. "You're such a perv."

"I know," he smirked.

It was quiet for a moment until I sighed and asked, "What did you want to be when you grew up?" The question was completely random but for some reason, I wanted to know.

He looked kind of distant and his eyes sparkled when he thought.

"I wanted to be a rockstar." He chuckled to himself, "What about you?"

I smiled and whispered, "I wanted to be on broadway."

He smiled and leaned closer to me, moving my hair out of my face. "Are you blushing?" He asked.

I let my hair fall back in front of my face so he couldn't see. "I've just... never told anyone that before."

He smiled, and leaned closer. "Well.. your secret is safe with me." He whispered leaning closer. His lips brushed mine and I pulled away quickly.

"Can we turn the radio on?" I speaked.

He paused for a minute then sighed. "Yeah.. yeah, sure."

I awkwardly poked through the songs until I found a classic rock station. Joy Division's 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' played through the slight static. As the song played on, the tension seemed to clear.

After another few songs, Austin said, "You know, if it weren't for my reputation, we could be really good friends."

I stared at him in disbelief, "What reputation?" I laughed bitterly.

"Well, you know, I'm like really popular and stuff. I'm the quarterback."

"Wow."

"What?"

"I just can't believe you. You know I have a reputation to keep to, right?" I said, my voice rising.

"Yeah but I mean, you're kind of.. well.. no one really knows you." He said quietly.

I paused for a moment, took a deep breath, and yelled, "WELL YOU KNOW WHAT AUSTIN? I WOULDN'T BE FRIENDS WITH YOU IF WE WERE THE LAST TWO PEOPLE ON EARTH! Ugh! I should've known you would say something like that. You're so full of yourself! I don't like you. I've never liked you and after today I STILL didn't like you... but I was beginning to have some respect for you."

Feeling my blood pulsing hard in my vains, I flung the door open and ran down the beach.
