A/N: So….hi? I'm so sorry this hasn't been updated in…well…forever… I don't really have any excuses for it so I'm just gonna stick with sorry. Jessy and I hope you enjoy the chapter though!

Jessy

Jessy stared out over the horizon. They had Jake put the ship in the air to avoid any more Kraken attacks.

"You're sure you have no clue where you sent them?" asked Alyssa. Jessy sighed. "Not a clue".

She was worried. In the haste of the attack, Jessy had franticly shadow traveled Slayer to Evey, with no specific destination in mind.

"We should be looking for them".

"Jess, we can't", replied Julia. "We have the quest to worry about".

"I know, I know. But-".

She stopped. There was the faint sound of beating wings in the distance. Jessy squinted her eyes and saw a figure coming towards them.

"Draw you weapons!" shouted Hannah. They all drew their swords and daggers as a smallish, pink haired Pegasus landed on the deck.

"Um…?" questioned Alyssa.

"Hi", Evey's head popped up from behind the Pegasus.

"Evey!" the girls shouted in unison. Evelynn and Curtis jumped down on to the deck, slowly followed by Slayer. Jessy ran over to Slayer.

"You're back! Oh my gods I thought I'd sent you to some god forsaken place and we'd never find you again".

"Yeah. We're fine", replied Slayer.

"What's wrong?" Jessy asked.

"You trusted me to save your friend, and we were saved by her boyfriend over there, the hero".

"Oh".

"I just wanted to show you and everyone else that I could be a hero too. That I'm not just some-".

"Oh shut up", Jessy interrupted. She lunged forward and hugged slayer tightly.

"Alright", Jake said. "Now that we've got everyone back, let's get going".

The ship started forward again and everyone went about their business. Jessy held out her hand and gestured for Slayer to take it. She led him down below deck and to their room. Slayer went in ahead of Jessy as she shut the door. She turned around to see slayer standing in the middle of the room, looking ashamed. She walked over to him.

"Slayer it's alright", she tried to reassure him.

"I know, it's just…".

"Nope", said Jessy.

"Nope?" Jessy nodded. "Nope to what?"

"Just nope. No more ragging on yourself. You did exactly what I asked you to do. You kept her safe".

"But that's all I did".

"And that's good enough for me".

"But-". Jessy gave him a look and took a step forward. "Nope?" he asked.

Jessy locked eyes with slayer and smiled, "Nope".

They stood there for a moment. Then, Jessy kissed him. Plain and sweet. She wrapped her arms around his neck and he pulled her in closer. She broke the kiss.

"What was that for?" he asked blushing.

"I figured you deserved a kiss".

"But why?"

"You always seem so sad..." she paused. "And you saved my life. So..."

"So… what?"

"So… I figured this time…. I could save you".
