Alyssa
Everything was fine. It had been two weeks since any monster attacks, they had eve back, and they were only about a week away from reaching the next point in their quest.
She should have known.
She never did know what happened. None of them did. It was like an earth quake, only they were in the sky. The ship rocked violently back and forth, the steering wheel spun so fast Jake got burns on his hands before he could let go. They struggled to stay standing up. Alyssa felt the need to grab her sword, there was no reason to; it would just make her feel safe. But with how much the boat was shaking, she figured she'd end up skewered if she did. Instead, she grabbed on to the rail and held on for dear life.
"Everyone below deck now!"
She didn't hear who said it, but she didn't argue. She stumbled along the deck towards the door. It was hard to see and the deck was slippery from the random rain that just decided to bombard the ship.
She slipped, or more tripped over something. But how could she have tripped? There was nothing there. Never the less, she went flying. She felt the rail of the ship graze her stomach. She could tell she was falling, so she braced herself for the impact of the ocean below. She straightened her legs so she would slide right into the water.
Bad idea. There was no water.
She dropped, fast and straight legged onto a beach. She immediately felt a sharp pain shoot up her leg. She could tell it was broken, but she couldn't move enough to check.
What had just happened? What attacked the Argo? How did she get here, and more importantly where was she? She stared up at the sky, everything started to go a bit fuzzy. Someone appeared above her. She couldn't tell who he was, but he looked slightly familiar.
"Don't worry", he said. "You'll be fine."
She felt him pick her up just before she passed out.

She woke up to the smell of lilacs and honey. She heard wind chimes and the faint sound of waves in the back ground. There was a soft, light blanket draped over her from the waist down. She opened her eyes. She had been right about the wind chimes. There were a few ones made of sea shells she assumed were from tiny aquatic monsters, and one made out of crystals that was casting small rainbows on the walls. She sat up and removed the blanket from her legs. Her left one was wrapped up in some sort of weird coral splint.
"Don't get up."
She looked over her shoulder. Standing in the door way was a boy. He didn't look any older than her, yet he had too much maturity in his eyes for a teenager. He reminder her slightly of Calypso. She'd seen a picture of her that Leo kept in his wallet next to the one of his mom. He never did say what happened to her, Alyssa only knew that she wasn't around anymore. He had the same sandy, caramel hair, soft brown eyes, and slight freckles around his nose.
"Why not?" she asked. He walked over to her.
"You broke your leg when you fell." he replied. "You shouldn't walk on it for a while."
"So I'm just supposed to stay here, in this bed. Where am I?"
"Ogii".
"Ogee?"
"No, o-j-ee. It's the parallel of Ogygia".
"Ogygia? You mean Calypso's old island?"
A small, sad smile appeared on his lips. "So you've met my twin then", he said. She looked at him.
"You're Calypso's twin?"
"Yep. Suffered the same fate after helping our father."
"I don't remember Calypso having a brother."
"Yeah, you wouldn't. The gods like to keep me a secret. They say I'm too dangerous." He laughed. "Do I look dangerous to you?"
Alyssa studied him, he wore a tank top with a sunset that seemed to move, khaki short, and flip flops. He was honestly adorable.
"Not at all."
