Zelda's P.O.V
"Ow! Damn dogs" I heard Link cry, in what sounded like pain and annoyance, I looked over to see that a Wolfo had latched onto his right arm and he was trying to beat the Wolfo off. I gave a small laugh, first time against something other than Moblins.
"Don't just stand there! Do something!"
"I'm not standing, and I am doing something" I grunted as I dodged a spear aimed for my left side.
"Can you at least come and help?" I sighed, There just huge dogs, Hungry for flesh and blood, can he not handle that? I quickly killed the Moblin that charged at me and I backflipped away from the gathering crowd and saw out of the corner of my eye that Link finally managed to pry his enemy off his arm, but then internally winced as I saw the little.. Present it left for him to remember the Wolfo by.
I was removed my gaze at the new wound on his arm when I felt a sharp pain in my back. I turned around to see a proud Moblin holding a club, glaring, I produced my own weapon, a Tantō.
The Moblin's eyes noticeably grew larger, but he came at me all the same. I blocked his attempts at hitting me, and I hit him in the head with the handle of the Tantō, I really disliked killing, but gotta do what you have to sometimes.
I shook my head at all the bodies around me, and averted my eyes to see of there were anymore, seeing that there were no more, I teleported over to Link. I came just in time to see the sparkle in the distance coming towards him.
"Link! Duck!" He turned around in surprise as I called out to him. He gave me a confused look, "Oh forget it!" I cried and tackled him to the ground just as an arrow lodged itself into a tree behind us, right where Link stood moments before.
His eyes widened in surprise, and I noticed that his cheeks were slightly tinted with color. I could feel my own cheeks flush as I saw our position, but ignored that as the Wolfos came closer, followed by Moblins.
I scanned my surroundings quickly. So many trees everywhere, wait... Trees! I closed my eyes and concentrated. The wind around us changed and shifted like a barrier, blocking them from us while I finished the spell.
The wind stopped all of a sudden, and then knocked everything back, like a huge force. It was gone as soon as it came, and it carried us with it.
Links P.O.V
White, blinding light clouded my vision. My head felt as if it was in a spin cycle, and my legs felt like jelly.
"Zelda.. Didn't I ask you to tell me when you teleport?" I groaned as I got up from the ground, my vision was still kinda blurry.
"Oh yeah, you did. Sorry dude, didn't have time to, and I'd watch your step" she sounded close but I couldn't see her, or very much for that matter.
"Why would I need to-" I took a casual step and was caught off gaurd when there wasn't an Earth to step on.
I yelped in surprise (A/N: You know.. One of those "Manly screams" That boys have xD) and just as I was starting to fall, I felt my arm get sharply pulled back. Thanks to the sharp pull I bumped into something behind me, on the bright side, it seems my sight cleared.
"Ow" I turned around and saw that I had bumped into bark. Wait.. Bark? "Zelda... Are we in a-"
"Yup, we're in tree" she cut me off and she hopped down from the branch she was on.
"But, why?" Of all the places she could have teleported us; she picks a tree. I jumped down as well and rolled to a stop.
"Because," she replied a little exasperated that I didnt figure it out yet, Well excuse me for being teleported without my knowledge, I pouted. "Look around Link"
She gestured to our surroundings, but all I could see are trees and farther away is where the Wolfos and Moblins are huddled. "We're in a Forest, not like I can take us to an emoth field" she began gathering some wood and leaves.
"What are you doing?" I asked, watching her walk around.
"What does it look like I'm doing? It's almost night time, and we might be here for a little while" Zelda studied the group of enemies closely, before putting what she gathered into a pile.
I looked over as well, it looked like they were arguing about something because one of the fatter Moblin (I think he's the King) was hitting the others on the head, face red with anger while the others cower and nod along.
Seemingly satisfied, the Fat King left them with a horrifying glare and rode off. I shook my head at the sight and turned away, "So what's our next move?"
"We're gonna start training tomorrow at dawn, right here" she lit the fire and started off North.
"Wait, where are you going?"
"I'm going to see if there's a water source nearby, in the meantime you can unpack the bags" not turning to look at me, she called back and was engulfed by the surrounding trees.
I sighed as I opened up the bags, taking out the pillows and blankets, exhaustion taking over me. Zelda still wasn't back and my eyes were getting heavier, I tried to keep them open. The day finally caught up to me and sleep won.
Zelda's P.O.V
I came back to where Link was after I found a stream not too far from here. "Link?" I looked around curiously when there was no reply, I finally found him sleeping by the fire.
The sky above was full of stars by now and I realized how late it must have been, which meant that it'll be colder, and the doofus fell asleep without the blanket. I carefully made my way over to him so not to wake him and draped a blanket over him.
He faintly called out a name before snuggling up in the blanket, a peaceful expression crossing his face. It took me a minute to register that the name he called was mine, I stared at his face wondering why he called my name out.
In the fire light, he looked like a little kid and I had a strange desire to protect him from harm, at least until he could fend for himself out here. Before I could stop myself, I quickly reached over and kissed his forehead.
Blushing slightly, I made my way over to the fire, asking myself why I did that. I stared intently at the fire for a few minutes before sighing, I put out the fire and went to bed, tomorrow will be a long day of training and maybe in between I could figure out my feelings.
Yay! I finally finished this chapter! Sorry this chapter was a little short.. I just noticed that... Anyways I promise to try harder, but.. It's getting a little harder for me to concentrate on writing, but I'm getting better and I'm trying to get back to reading more Fanfiction stories too.
Hope you liked the chapter, I'm a little rusty for the lack of writing. Just stick with me and I promise the chapters will come faster! Thanks for reading!
