15. Amor Gitano (Gypsy Love)
Whispers were heard in the crowd of high class people, eyes were set on the masked dangerous thief, they even hid their prized jewels and money in case he had any ideas of robbing them but El Zorro only had his eyes in his own prize which was his Red princesa. Julieta stairs at him lovingly but at the same time scared for him since he has fallen in the biggest trap her father would have set up for him, even though he didn't knew he would come. Don Rojillo's face was red with rage.
"Es El Zorro!" a few voices cried in fear.
El Zorro stood still in his spot as he slowly reaches for his sword, expecting a fight at any moment. Don Rojillo came from the crown to confront hi, standing in from of his daughter for protection but she was more scared for her masked thief.
"What do you want? You don't have una invitacion at this party" he growls at him.
Gnoméo glares "I can for what is mio!" Gnoméo cries, looking at Julieta, getting a small smile out of her.
Unfortunately, Don Rojillo saw that and understood everything now. "SEIZE HIM! AGARENLO!" (Grab him) Rojillo orders and an army of guards come out, charging at Gnoméo.
It was only a few seconds when a large army of soldiers and guards burst into the party, charging at El Zorro. With swift, Gnoméo jumps in the air, holding on to some decorations, sliding himself across the dance floor onto the stage as the band, dancers and all the high society guests started running in fear for their lives. A few guards were climbing up on stage to get to El Zorro. Gnoméo picked up sword fights with every guards he came up against, some of them were tough and some were weak but no matter what happens, Gnoméo didn't kept his guard down. He soon ran out of guards to fight for a while until he came face to face with the head man himself, with Don Rojillo. An epic sword fight began between them. Gnoméo knew this wasn't the first time he came against him but that didn't mean it was not like last time. Rojillo fought with strength and anger, he was determining to have him dead instead of arrested.
Gnoméo soon pushed him off the stage where he landed on a flower bush, unharmed for a moment. Suddenly, that's when Teobaldo hops on stage and started to fight Gnoméo! The Teobaldo fight with the same force his uncle did but with different intention, just to get him down to arrest him. As they continue to fight, more guards were coming into the garden with their swords and weapons. Since he was 1 against 1,000, Gnoméo thought fast by using the musical intrumentos to fight back and gain a little time to run off to another direction as the guests continue to run for their lives.
Julieta couldn't stay there and watch him get arrested and die because of her, she needed to help him. She pulls out her knife but it wasn't enough, she needed a real weapon. Another army of guards ran passed her, she saw the gates that led them into he garden. She ran toward them and shut the gates to prevent anymore guards to come in. "Come on, Julieta. Piensa, piensa" she thought to herself, looking for some sort to help Gnoméo escape with herself. She looks back at Gnoméo, still fighting the guards until she had an idea. It was risky but might work. She yanks on her necklace which was a small vile and it contain some strange sand inside it. Julieta opens the lid and pours out the entire sand into the palm of her hand. She takes a deep breath, knowing this was powerful witchcraft she had here but it will do the trick to save Gnoméo and escape with him. She closes her eyes and starts to chant some strange words as she got ready to do the spell. She takes another deep breath and throws the strange sand in the air as it created a large dusty brown cloud in the air, quickly getting everybody's attention.
The cloud got bigger and bigger by the second as thunder and lightning started to form from it. Everybody was confused of this strange magic but Julieta smiles by her creation, soon the cloud stopped growing and everything was silent for a moment until Julieta said the key word to the final stage of the magic. "Kudaka!" she exclaims and the magic cloud expands over the garden, blinding everybody from the foggy cloud.
Even Gnoméo was getting blind from the fog; he had to be careful on not bumping into a guard or worst, Don Rojillo and Teobaldo. Suddenly, he felt a hand grabbing him. He holds his sword up just in case he needed to put up a fight but luckily; it was just his amor, Julieta. They both run to eachother and held onto their dear lives in eachother's arms. But she was still worried about his safety, not just by her father.
"Don't breathe that fog! It's toxico!" she screams in his face.
Now Gnoméo knows what that nube (cloud) was. Even if it was witchcraft, he was glad she did it. Julieta tells Gnoméo to take a deep breath and hold it in to not breathe the magic of the cloud as she lead him to a near exit. They make it to a tall fence at the end of the garden. Gnoméo picks up Julieta by her waist as he climbed over the fence. Julieta saw over Gnoméo's shoulder that the magic fog was starting to clear up, since she had little sand, the spell last for a short time. She could see her father, cousin and the guards in the garden. Soon, Don Rojillo noticed Gnoméo escaping over the fence with his daughter!
"AFTER HIM! HE'S KIDNAPPING MI HIJA! I WANT HIM MUERTO COMO UN PERRO!" Don Rojillo orders with all the boiling anger in him. Another trap to catch El Zorro has failed!
As the guards raced after them, Gnoméo finally jumps over the fence with Julieta, landing on the other side. They both run over to Gnoméo's horse, along with Benvolio on his own horse. Gnoméo told Benvolio that he's going to run off to the guards off his tail and head back to the lair. Benvolio nods and runs off first as Gnoméo lifts Julieta onto his horse and run off into the dark solitude streets of their town. It was hard avoiding many of guards but by blending in with the shadows, Gnoméo was able to make it all the way to the church.
Inside the church, EL Padre Featherstone has already heard about the scandal in the Rojillo Palacio. He was worried for his children but he had faith they will succeed in escaping like they always do. He has taught both of them to fight back in any situation they need to defend what's there's and el pueblo. He looks back at the large statue of Jesus Cristo with the Crest next to him, surrounded with flowers and candles. He prays to him for Gnoméo & Julieta's safety and they will return, unharm. His praying was interrupted once the church door opens.
"PADRE! PADRE FEATHERSTONE!" Julieta cries
"Julieta, hija! I was muy preocupado!" he says, hugging her tight and then he notices Gnoméo, coming him. "Que paso?! Tell me everything that happens?"
"Rojillo send his entire army on us, he's searching every corner for us and won't stop until he does" Gnoméo explains
"He'll want me to go back and marry me this snotty principe by force!" she cries
"And he'll want mi cabeza for kidnapping Julieta!" Gnoméo adds
"You 2 need to get out of el pueblo! It's the only way they'll leave before they start tearing up this town searching for you 2" El Padre says
"We know but how will we escape and where will we go?" Julieta panics
"All I can do is help you escape, but from there, you need to find a secure place to hide" El Padre says
"We can go to my lair where it's safe and hidden" Gnoméo suggests
"Si, perfecto, you should leave ahora!" El Padre said
"But how do we escape from la iglesia" she asks as she and Gnoméo look at El Padre with the same question look.
El Padre thinks for a moment until he speaks "I promised myself I wouldn't show anyone this but I'll allow it"
El Padre walks up to the Jesus statue where there was hidden button under the plaque of his name. He pushes the button and the statue starts to rises up from its place, showing a secret passageway, shocking Gnoméo & Julieta.
"Ok, take this mapa (map) and follow it. It will lead you underground of el pueblo and lead you directly to el pantano.(swamp) Now go, mis hijos!" he hands the map to Gnoméo as they both enter the passageway.
"Gracias for everything, Padre. Make sure Juan Primito and mis muchachos know I will be back soon" Julieta says, hugging him.
"I will, mi niña. Now go. I leave in the best manos" he smiles at her
"Gracias as always, Padre. I leave you mi caballo and be back soon" Gnoméo says, patting his shoulder. El Padre nods with a smile as the door shuts behind them and the statue is placed back in its place.
El Padre stairs at the Jesus statue, praying again for their safety and knowing they are risking everything for their amor. It was bueno and malo since they have eachother and they risk it all for eachother and their pueblo but what they don't know is that their love is putting the town in danger as well. He hopes they will come back with a solution to stop these destructions.
Inside the passageways, Gnoméo had a little trouble reading the map in the dark. The walls were very small and claustrophobic. It looked like it was build years ago by the looks of the brick walls and there were even bugs inside them, even mice and rats. Gnoméo held a fire torch in his hand while he held the map in the other while Julieta followed behind him, struggling to keep up by her dirty and puffy dress and high heels. Her feet were starting to hurt by all the walking. It seems like hours since they walked down here. She was even concern Gnoméo didn't even know where he was going. There were several paths and he didn't know which one to go. He looks back at the map but that part was unfortunately erased. He groans frustrated. Why did El Padre gave him an incomplete map? Well, if they made it this far. He had to wing it and try his best to find a way to the swamp.
But the more they walk down the wrong path, Julieta got worried and concern if they get caught once they reached the swamp. They soon did, the swamp was dam and soggy as it was still night-time. They started walking down the shore of the river as Gnoméo lighten up their way, hoping there weren't any surprises waiting for them.
"We need to get out of here, there's going to find us" she says, worried.
He looks back at her "Calm down, amor. We're going to find a way out" he hugs her.
"Maybe if we go to the river or "La Dorada" she suggests.
"We can't go to "La Dorada", it'll be one of the places they'll search. And the river is getting strong; it'll be difficult to go down the stream without crashing into something"
"There has to be another way out"
"I don't know. I'm thinking that it's best if we go down this path, all the way to the port, that way we'll be going against Rojillo's direction. And to tell you, I have been talking to some extranjeros and when I mention you, they got excited and quickly accepted to help us since you're practically la princesa around here" he teases, making her mad.
"Never call me that again. I am Doña Barbara around here" she growls in threat, which he found irresistible of her.
"Si, but you're not arm" he says.
She scoffs "Or am I?" Julieta then pulls out her golden gun from her skirt back pocket and her knife from earlier, surprising Gnoméo.
"I'll never doubt you again" he chuckles and she smirks.
"So, where do we go? We can't go to el pueblo since it's filled with guardias" (guards)
"I suggest we head down the path that lead to the shore and hide in my lair for a while until this all clears up" he says with a promising smile and she smiles back.
It was horas & horas and the couple were still walking around the swampy jungle. It was still night-time over it, maybe in the hours of the morning, and the stars and the full moon shinned down over the river and trees. They heard the noises of the wild and dangerous animals in the bushes but that was the least of their problems, Julieta was starting to think they were lost.
"Do you know which way we're going?" she asks
"Uh... no, I don't think we do. I've haven't been thru this parts before" he says
"I don't know why but this lugar seems so familiar to me" she says as she looks around
But before Gnoméo could answer her, an arrow SWOSH! In and hit Gnoméo on the shoulder, making him fall to the ground, screaming in pain. "GNOMÉO!" Julieta screams. But before she could rush to his side, another arrow came flying close her face and then another above her. Julieta pulls out her gun and started shooting at where the arrows were coming from which was from some bushes from across the river. She continues to shoot as the bushes moved as if there were animals hiding behind there but no animal can shoot arrows. She looks around to shoot again until suddenly, she felt herself pulled back with her arms pulled behind her back. She panicked, thinking it was some guards here to arrest her and kill El Zorro. She struggles to break free and sneaks a glimpse of who was holding her tight, she gasps in horror.
It was 2 strange Indian men, holding her tighter until she finally stops struggling. She looks back at Gnoméo, seeing him still groaning in pain but then 2 more Indian men hold him up, yanking out the arrow from his shoulder but leaving a deep and serious injury that was bleeding fast and needed treatment fast. They both look up to see more Indians coming to them as a tall and muscle Indian came forward; it was obvious he was their leader aka the Chief. The Chief glares at the couple with angry look on his face. He places his staff under Julieta's chin, inspecting her on her looks, realizing she's one of those rich destructive people.
Soon he started speaking in his foreign language to them. He said the basic questions. Who are you? Where do you come from? And why are you here in these parts at night?" he huffs.
Gnoméo couldn't figure out what he said but to his surprise, Julieta understood every word the Chief said. She started responding in his native language to him. She explained that she and Gnoméo were travelling up river to escape her father and they got lost. The Chief understood the situation and he asked her if she was one of the rich destructors who thought they were the owners of their lands, including the town of San Verona. She responded no, she may be rich but had no business to be one of them.
Hearing this from her, The Chief orders his men to release them. Julieta runs over to Gnoméo, who cries in pain by his wound. Julieta looks back at The Chief to help Gnoméo and also explains who he is, the Chief understands and they help him with his wound and lead them to their village up the river.
Julieta followed the Chief to their village. They walk pass hunts and small houses made out of woods and tree branches. The Indians eye Julieta and Gnoméo as the walk by. As she looks around, Julieta didn't know why but something about this place seem so familiar but she didn't know why. She knew their language, sure but as she continues to look around, she started getting these strange visions and voices in her head. Her head started hurting. Why won't these visions go away?! She grunts, gently hitting her head.
"Señorita Julieta" The Chief huffs once they reach his house which was larger than any house.
The couple awes as they stare at it until The Chief started speaking in his language again. He says he wants them to meet his wife. That's when an older woman with long black hair and lightly dark skin walk out into the open by her husband's side. She greets the visitors in her language until she gasps when she saw Julieta! The woman stairs at Julieta for a long while as she slowly walks toward the girl who was confused of the woman's stair. The woman then reaches and touches Julieta's cheek as she trembles a little while the woman had tears in her eyes. It was if she knew Julieta her entire life and hasn't seen her in años.
"Julieta?" the woman asks with a few tears in her eyes.
That's when Julieta finally know who this woman was and gasps.
"Ustakia?" she asks with tears in her eyes too and the woman nods.
Right there, Ustakia hugs Julieta in her arms, as they both cried in happiness. Ustakia was Julieta's guardian when she was a child, the one who rescued her from the tragedy she suffered after losing her mother, the one who taught her the ways of witchcraft, good and bad. She was just to feliz on seeing her student/criada again. It was happy reunion for them.
"Look at you. You've turn into una mujer, una bella mujer" Ustakia smiles thru her tears, stroking Julieta's cheek.
"It's been too long, Ustakia" Julieta cried as well.
"I thought I never see you again, mi Chiquita" she kisses her forehead.
"Me too. There wasn't a single dia that I didn't think you, Ustakia"
"You and I so much catching you to do but for now, you must rest, I sense you and your compañero are tired"
"Ustakia..." The Chief interrupts and starts speaking in his language of how does his wife knows this girls so well.
Ustakia explains that Julieta is that girl they both protected and joined their tribe as one of their own years ago until they day she left their village. The Chief was surprise by seeing how Julieta has transform from this helpless little niña to this beautiful mujer she is now. Julieta smiles and says that it was all thanks to them. Kindly, Ustakia and The Chief invited Julieta and Gnoméo to spend the night. They gave them food and warn welcome once the villagers heard Julieta was their leaders criada from when she was a child.
There were at some point when Gnoméo asked her what's going on and how does she know these people. Julieta told him that they were the Indians she told them about in her story, the ones who raised her when she was younger. The ones who taught her good and bad witchcraft. Fortunately, Gnoméo understood and accepted their help and hospitalidad.
A few hours have passed until it was now daylight over the peaceful village. The Indians began their daily chores and routines like any other day. Gnoméo was watching them and was amazed on how they worked together to create this amazing little village that was well hidden from San Verona. But as he watched, he then frowns as a thought came to him. He couldn´t stop thinking of Don Rojillo´s angry glare when he took Julieta from the ball. He practically kidnap her, he really passed the limits with him. Now he´s going to hunt him down, even worse than before. But that didn´t worry Gnoméo, he was up to any fight Rojillo would give him in order to get his daughter back and Gnoméo wasn´t going to give her back.
"You're very pensativo, muchacho. I can sense it from you" a voice said. He turns and see it was Ustakia.
"Is it that obvious?" he asks, looking back at the lovely village.
"You're worried for el pueblo of San Verona. I understand they need your assistance and Julieta's. But now is not the time to act but the time to think and when the time comes, you shall act. I know you are the kind hero of el pueblo but you need to stop and think your next move. You and Julieta need to understand that and that's why I must train you to think and understand" she says, wisely.
"Thinks and understand, Sra. Ustakia?" he asks, slightly confused by her words.
"Si, muchacho. It is how I taught Julieta years ago and I see she needs my guides to do it again" she nods but leaves him with the thought.
Suddenly, if it was on cue, they both turn around by sound coming from inside the hut. They gaps in awe once! Julieta came out of the hut, wearing an Indian girl outfit. She wore a bra with a small shirt down and a skirt that went down to up her knees made out of rough cloth. She was barefoot and her hair was straight unlike her normal waves on her hair. Ustakia smiled, proudly. She looked just like when she was younger, she thought. Gnoméo couldn't stop staring at her in a different way. He thought she looked sexy in that India outfit, showing her thin curvy body like that. Julieta was ready to start her training.
"Lista, child?" Ustakia asks, walking toward her.
"Lista, Ustakia" Julieta nods
"Listo, Gnoméo?" Ustakia asks him but he didn't answer by still staring at Julieta. They snap their fingers in his face until he finally snap out of it.
"Si, listo" he says, clearing his throat.
Ustakia leads the couple inside the Chief hut where he was waiting for them. He was sitting on the ground with his legs crosses with his eyes closed, humming/chanting some words. He soon opens his eyes once he saw his wife and this guest enter. He gestures them to sit down in front of the fire place and they do what they're told. An hour has passed and it was nothing but Native storytelling of their past, even about the past dangers of this place, of San Verona and Spain. Soon, Ustakia finally spoke to Julieta.
"Julieta, I will start with you. I know this has been a while we've done this but I sense you know what I'm going to do" Ustakia says and Julieta nods.
Ustakia then looks at El Zorro "Gnoméo, for your own safety, you must keep quiet the entire enchantment. And no matter what happens, no matter what monstrosidad happens, you must stay calm and stay silencioso. Entendido?" she asks him with cautious and he nods, even though her words worried him again.
"Esta bien" Ustakia nods and closes her eyes to begin.
Once they began, The Chief asked the coupled to close their eyes and have their mind clear as Ustakia prepared some jars of Native medicine and witchcraft for the ritual. She starts by painting some native symbols and drawing on Julieta's cheeks and most of her body, especially her arms, legs and stomach. She did the same with Gnoméo but only for his face and chest. The Chief soon throws some black dust into the fire as the smoke rises and turns to a bloody red, showing thunder and lightning but they all stay calm. Julieta stayed silent with her eyes closed, feeling all her troubles watched away from her mind and soul. Ustakia chants a Native song which Julieta recognizes from her childhood as the Indian woman looked closer into the fire where she could clearly see Julieta's future. It was not pretty and will happen very soon. Soon, she spoke to the child.
"I sense peligro coming in the future. You need to be prepared for the time comes. You must look into your soul and find your true strength on how to fight. You fight for good but you must be clever on how you fight. You must manipulate them, think before they do. Make your next enemigo is more before your first begins. They think you are weak, just a simple pretty face of the town but show them you are not. You must fight them and protect your people, either as Julieta or Doña Barbara" Ustakia then chants some native words and pouring some magic dust over Julieta's head who was still in her thoughts with her eyes closed.
Suddenly, Julieta snap opens her eyes but they turn into a creepy bright yellow. It might have been something to by her being a witch and all, these things occasionally happen to her. Gnoméo was worried; about to touch her but Ustakia stops him.
"No, don't touch her, muchacho. She's in a trance and the slightest sound or touch, she became an unstoppable furia. We must leave her until she finishes" Ustakia whispers to him and he sits back down.
They quietly watched Julieta for a while until the fireplace started rising up to the ceiling, luckily not causing it to set the hut in fire but it was some strange magic happening with her. Some images started showing on the fire, they showed what Julieta's was thinking. They saw her fighting dozen of men, she was winning and looked proud and strong until suddenly, a dark figure appeared and trap Julieta in his hands. It was destroying and killing her. The images showed Julieta's future, she had a new enemy on her way, even worst the ones before. This enemy was much stronger than and will do anything to find her and kill her.
This worried Ustakia. Julieta was still in her trance with her creepy yellow eyes. The Chief and Ustakia spoke in their language, trying to find a solution of this problema until they did. Ustakia then pours some black magical dust into the fire, causing the fire to explode as Ustakia spoke with wisdom and guideless again.
"I see you battling this enemy. He is strong but not quick. He sees you as a threat in his life. He believes you are the piece to his failure, that's why he needs you out of the picture. His success will only bring misery to el pueblo. No hero can stop him. But only you know his secret, his ways, his antics of seeing life as un negocio. Only you can trick him, don't go to him, bring him to you and there he will fall into your trap before his plan even begins. But before you can eliminate him, you must eliminate his top complice. He is closer than you think, find him and he will lead you to his master"
"How will I find him?" Julieta finally spoke but in a creepy low voice with her eyes still glowing bright.
"You must look deeper inside the eyes of the people who surround you. Take this amulet" Ustakia says as she gently wraps a silver amulet with a symbol of the Jesus Crest around her neck and Julieta did not move by still being in her trance.
"Use it wisely, young child. With it, you will be able to see the soul and real reasons of a person's actions" the Chief finally spoke and Julieta nods as her eyes went back to normal, her trance and ritual was over. She half knows what do to now.
Soon it was time for El Zorro's ritual. Ustakia gesture Gnoméo to sit down with her legs crossed in front of the fire and gave him instructions on what to do. Once again, The Chief throw some more black dust into the fire as it rises red again, showing Gnoméo's past, showing his true identity and his Zorro identity until Ustakia finally spoke.
"You are un guererro. A strong fighter, you fight for good and justicia. You hide in the shadows to uncover secretos of destruction. People say you're the face of good and they believe you to be the hero they need. You rob, steal and hide for their protection, to keep their hopes alive. You are un hombre of strength and faith. You fight well but you still have so much to learn. Just like Julieta, you need to learn to fight without thinking. In a brutal fight, you can't stop to think of on how to fight. Fighting comes from your instincts, on the unexpected moment"
"And how do I do that?" Gnoméo asks.
"I realize you may not know our ways but we will teach you, we will train you on how to fight like we do. You must understand our ways before you can act like us. but you must swear by oath that you will never use our teaching against any real enemy unless it's necessary because that would be cheating on how you fight and act on your own. We know you are loyal but we must be sure" Ustakia says, serious and Gnoméo understood perfectly.
"I understand" he nods
Then The Chief stands up, holding his staff and walks toward El Zorro.
"Por favor, place your mano in the fire & say your full name and outlaw name" The Chief says, serious.
Gnoméo was confused by what he said but didn't argue. He stretches his arm to the fire, hoping he wouldn't get burn. He closes his eyes, ready for the brining pain but what was strange is that he didn't felt any. He opens his eyes to see his hand was inside but it wasn't burning. The fire wasn't hot, it wasn't even warm. The fire was magical or bewitched in some way. The Chief started saying the commitment to him as he got ready to repeat it with his hand still in the fire.
"Yo, Gnomeo Claudo Celeste also known as El Zorro here by swear to not used brujeria for any unnecessary batalla unless I need to and never speak a word of the tribe to anyone" Gnoméo says with his head down and hand in the fire.
And with the honest commitment, The Chief bestows Gnome with his staff as one of the tribe and will know learn their ways and learn how to fight like a true warrior. Gnoméo smiles proudly and with joy, he pulls his hand out of the fire and sees a harmless flame turn from orange to clear purple, meaning he is one of the tribe one. Julieta couldn't do anything else but smile, she was proud of him but at the same time a bit concern for his safety. She knew how this training thing was going to be and she hoped he can handle it.
The next couple of weeks were very stressful for the couple, all they did was eat, sleep, train and learn new things every day. Julieta had more training than Gnomeo. If it was either in the village, in the jungle, in the mountains or in the river training areas, she gave it all her might and ended being the best she is in fighting and beating even the strongest Indian warriors in the village. She even practiced her archery when it comes to hunting. (A/N: I'm a master in archery!) As she was out training, each day, El Zorro was able to manage and understand each symbol that hide behind every spell of witchcraft, bueno or malo. He understood them all and was learning fast which impressed the Chief and Ustakia. Even if they were being trained separately, there were some time when Julieta would show Gnoméo around the place she grew up as a child, it was truly magnifico sight to be in, away from the town for a while but they will go back when they were ready.
Soon, the final day of the training has arrived. The young estudiantes, along with the maestros stood high up on the highest dusty cliff, near the village. The day was clear but a bit breezy but they felt a storm was about to approach soon, so they had to the test rápido. Gnoméo was wearing his usual Zorro clothes and Julieta was in her Doña Barbara clothes, a red battle blouse and some black pants with her hair tied in a ponytail. (A/N: Don't ask on how she got them. just go with it)
The silence was broken until Ustakia and her husband step forward to speak.
"For your final test, you must fight someone you share the deepest affection. You will fight your grand amor" she explains
Julieta gasps as she looks over at Gnoméo! Even though the idea sounded interesting but she swore she would never fight him again since she loved him, and he did the same.
"I need to fight him?" Julieta exclaim, pointing at Zorro
"I need to fight her?" Gnoméo exclaims, pointing at Julieta
"Si, and do not worry, this is not a battle to la muerte. All you have to do is leave your opponent unarm, which will end the test on proving who is the best fighter"
"Listos?" The Chief asks and they both nod, taking out their swords
"Remember, you will use all what you've been taught. Fight without thinking, take your opponent's sword away and it all ends" Ustakia explains and they both understood as they got in position which was in front and few feet away from eachother
"You ready for this?" Julieta asks, sending him a smirk
"That depends, are you?" he smirks
She scoffs "Por favor, it's not the first time I've fought you"
"This is will be muy divertido" he snickers
The Chief commands them to begin in his language and Julieta made the first move with her sword but Gnoméo quickly blocked her and threw her back. By all her training, Julieta fought without thinking, it was if her mind was completely blank and only focused on her fighting. She fought with grace and stealth, but that didn't mean Gnoméo wasn't fighting any less. He was taught the same way but not as good as Julieta but still did his best. It was almost an hour of clashing swords and few flips and comeback punches until with a swift move, Julieta tangles her sword with Gnoméo and pulls it out of his hand, thus ending the test. The Chief and Ustakia were very proud of her. She was ready or any fight that was coming to her, even if it was going to brutal, they had faith she will give it all her might. They congratulated her and gave her their blessing before leaving the cliff. Julieta was now alone with her Zorro, who was truly impressed by her skills, more than before.
"I must admit, I never saw that move coming" he chuckles
"I learn form the best. I told you they know what they were doing" she smiles, proudly.
"And since I know all your secrets, how's about a rematch" he reaches out to take his sword back but Julieta grabs him and flips him over and stick his swords on to his clothes to pin his down as he groans in pain on his back.
"Not all my secrets, novato" (rookie) she chuckles evilly in his face and walks away.
"Ok, that's it!" Gnoméo pulls out his sword him his clothes and charges at Julieta. But once again, Julieta quickly turns and blocks his move with her sword.
Julieta then clicks her tongue "Ah ah ah ah ah, regla (rule) 1#, never strike with anger" she teases and pushes him back.
Gnoméo chuckles under his breath as another epic sword fight began between them but this time there were no rules, just playfully fighting. To him, it seem more flirty that to think about the rules. As they fight, their movements soon turn into dance routine, a romantic tango dance with the perfect duet song that was forming into their heads. It was if they were singing to eachother in their head, and they were.

(Tango Song Ends)
With a final move, Gnoméo pulls out his whip, wraps it around Julieta's waist and pulls her extremely close to him. She didn't pull back or complain, she loved being in his arms and this close to him. They decided it was a tie and ended their fight with a passionate kiss with their aims wrap around eachother. No matter the challenges, no matter the sacrifices and no matter what they have to do to protect eachother and the town, they knew as long as they had eachother and their amor would always be this strong, even stronger than their weapons of fighting skills, they know they will win the war that was coming to them.
