Hidan: What the fuck do you want?
A: I was just saying hi! It's been too long since you've done a disclaimer! YOU'RE SLACKIN' OFF! WHAT DO I PAY YOU FOR?!
Hidan: You don't pay me at all, you fuckin' cheapass! JUST LIKE KAKUZU!

Hidan: I don't want your stupid ass rainbows and fucking lollipops. Jashin fucking christ! I-
Tobi: *pops up*A-chan does not own any character, settings, items, etc from the anime/manga, Naruto! She Abby and Sarah, other original characters, and anything else that I came up with! Please enjoy and review!
A & Hidan: O.O ...
Tobi: *holds out hands* Rainbows and lollipops!
Sakura frowned, and I knew whatever she was going to tell me wouldn't be good. "We...Didn't kill Sasori...And Sarah...Went with him."
"WHAT?" I gasped, "Why did she leave? Wait! What? Sasori? Hot-Red-Head?"
"Hot-red-head? Are you sure you're not talking about Gaara?" Kankuro snickered behind his hand.
I stiffened, and clenched my fists as I felt my face become hot, "D-don't be stupid!" I quickly whacked him on the head.
"Hey!" He yelled and held his head.
"Anyways," I quickly changed my focus to Sakura. "You're talking about the hot redhead, right? The one who has chocolate brown eyes?"
"You think he's hot?" Gaara asked.
"You know his eye color?" Kankuro interjected.
"W-well...Would you guys stop! So what? If he's hot, he's hot!" I huffed, "Geez."
"Uhmmm...Well, yes." Sakura said unsure of seriousness of this conversation.
"You have to be kidding me... Sarah...Left me? " I clenched my fists tightly, my teeth clenching.
"Abby..."
"Ugh! I leave her for how long? A couple hours? And she leaves me to follow a hot redhead to an evil organization! The jackass!" I threw my hands in the air for dramatics. "Did she even hesitate?" I asked, turning back to Sakura.
She turned away, "Not for long."
"Damn..." I muttered then sighed. "Oh well. I'll get her back sooner or later," I shrugged.
"You seem oddly un-depressed about this." Kankuro sweat dropped.
"Wuh?" I looked up from a bug I was poking with a very convenient stick.
"Never mind." He sighed heavily, then looked back at me. "Eh. Be careful, that's a poisonous scorpion."
"Ahhhh! Guys!" I threw my stick and hands in the air before dashing behind Gaara for cover. I pointed out at the scorpion. "I just noticed that's a scorpion!"
Kankuro facepalmed while Sakura giggled.
"Sakura-chan!" Naruto called for her to leave back to Konoha.
"Sorry. Have to go." She turned to me and laid a had on my shoulder, "Don't worry. We'll get Sarah back."
I gently smile and nodded, "I know."
When everyone was gone I was left to go back to my room. I belly flopped onto my bed, exhausted. Ugh. My bones hurt, and I barely did anything.
A smile touched my lips.
At least I could help bring Gaara back.
Speaking of that lovely red-headed pretty-eyed Kazekage-sama...I'v barely seen or talked to him since he died...Hehe that sounds funny. I have an awesome idea.
Clank, Clank, Clank
"I highly doubt I wanna do, do I?" Kankuro shook his head with his hands over his chest.
I looked up at him, and smiled. "Not at all."
But of course, his curiosity got the best of him. "Why the hell are you wearing a pot on your head, wearing oven mitts, and holding a ladle We use those to cook, you know."
"I have to protect myself." I said nonchalantly, inspecting the ladle.
"From?"
"The zombie."
"The-?...I'm just going to leave now."
"Bye, Bye, Mr. Kitty Ears!"
"Whatever."
Clank, Clank, Clank
"I'm finally at my destination." I huffed, and moved the pot back on my head so it wasn't blocking my vision.
Knock, Knock, Knock, Knock.
"Come in."
"Gaa~ra!" I sang as I entered his room.
He turned around in his desk chair, and sighed. "What are you doing?"
"Protecting myself." I said holding up my ladle.
"...From?"
"You."
This seemed to strike a nerve, but he kept calm. "Why?"
" 'Cause your a zombie!"
"A zombie?" He cracked smile.
"Exactly!" I pointed at him. I giggled and allowed myself permission to sit on his bed. Which by the way, was majorly Comfy! Wait, why would he even need a bed if he never slept? Hmmmm...
I smiled and patted the spot next to me. He stared at me for a second before he got up and sat next to me.
"So, you don't have the Shukaku in you anymore?" I asked softly, hoping I wasn't going into a still touchy subject.
"Aa."
"So you can sleep?"
"Aa."
"Can you still control sand?"
"Aa."
"Does it automatically protect you, still?"
"No."
I narrowed my eyes and poked his face, testing his statement.
I giggled.
Poke, Poke, Poke, Poke.
I let my finger stay on his cheek.
"Are you done yet?" He asked me. I could feel he was slightly uncomfortable, but also amused.
"...No." I poked him one last time. "You know, You really should smile more." I said suddenly, as I took both of my thumbs, and put them at the edge of his mouth. I pushed his mouth up into a smile. "Hahaha. There we go. Much better!"
He grabbed my right wrist, and slowly took it away from his face. All the while, looking me into my eyes. I voluntarily moved my other hand away. We looked at each other, for what seemed like hours. My eyes were wide and my mouth slightly open, in wonder of what was going to happen.
I felt my face get hot, because of how close he was getting.. He lightly lifted the pot off of my head, and sat it down on the bed. He laid his right hand on the bed for support, the other moving up, about to touch and cup my cheek. I could see the uncertainty and confusion in his eyes. His lips twitched a little, and out of the corner of my eye I could see him grip the bed sheets tightly. However, as soon as he closed his eyes, I did the same. His sweet breath envelope my senses. My heartbeat picked up at a rate that didn't seem healthy. We were so close, just an inches away, and our lips were about to-
"Neh! Gaara, you're late! We have to leave!" Kankuro bursted through the door.
I couldn't help but yelp softly. Gaara and I quickly pulled away from each other, and looked in the opposite directions, our faces a dark shade of red.
Kankuro looked between us, and rose a brow. "Did... I interrupt something?"
No! No, nothing! I-I'll see you guys, uhm, later!" I quickly sprinted for my own, and out to the balcony, the place I had dubbed my sanctuary.
I panted and cupped my face. Ugh! It was burning! I can't believe what just happened. WHAT EVEN JUST HAPPENED?! That was to intimate too intimate to be comfortable.
Dang. I've got it going on!
Sh-shut up!
But isn't this great? That means Gaara likes you!
My heart leaped in my chest.
Y...You think...?
You need to ask that? You know Gaara better than I do and-
But we're the same person...
SHHH! I'm trying to make a statement. Ahem. You know Gaara better than I do, and you know that is NOT something Gaara would do, at least with just anybody.
I looked down, as my face heated up again. Gaara...Likes me?
"Abby."
"AH! O-Oh... Temari... Geez, stop using your sneaky ninja-ness!"
"Sorry, sorry," She chuckled, then pointed behind her. What's up with Gaara and Kankuro? Gaara was scolding him about not barging to his room." She gave one of her signature smirks and rolled her eyes, "They actually look like brothers. I wonder what happened."
"Oh, aabouutt thaaattt... Well, if I tell you something.. Will you promise not to repeat it to anybody? Especially Gaara and Kankuro."
"Yeah. Shoot."
"Well... The thing is, I think I may, sorta, kind of like Gaara, but the thing is, I don't know if he's just a really good friend, or if it's more of that, and my head feels all jumbled. I've never really liked anyone before! I mean, yeah I keep blushing and my heart is still racing, and I feel like my legs are about to give out under me from what had just happened. Oh! That thing that just happened, why Gaara is scolding Kankuro is because he barged in on us WHEN GAARA ALMOST KISSED ME! Like, how weird is that?! And just, I'm just so confused with life, and I'm so freaking hungry, and I JUST HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON! WHAT IS EVEN GOING ON?!" I rambled on and on, barely giving myself any room to breath.
As soon as I was finished, I was left standing there with a shocked and confused Temari who had wide eyes and a pale face.
"Okay... Okay, um, just calm down. I..." She tried to calm me down, even though she needed the same help.
"You're in shock, aren't you? Is it that weird that something like that happened?"
"It's extremely weird! Have you even seen Gaara? And if you would have actually grown up with him you would be on the verge of fainting from this too! Are you sure that Gaara tried to kiss you? Completely positive?"
"Sitting on a bed... Leaning in... Cupping of the cheek... Closing eyes... So close that my personal bubble was popped... Yup, I'm sure."
"Wow.. That's just... Wow..."
I bit my lip and twiddled with my thumbs. "Is it... A bad thing?"
"No!" She gasped. "No, no, no! This is, although extremely weird and super surprising, an amazing thing!"
"Really?" I tilted my head.
"Yes. I'm actually kind of relieved, and it's kind of cute." She smiled, as she thought it over.
"You can't tell though, ok?" I urged.
"I know, I know. And, don't worry I'm rooting for you." She gave me a thumbs up. "I need to get to the Kazekage office."
I blushed, then waved. "I still don't even know if I like him though!"
I sighed when she was out of sight, and let the humid desert breeze wash over me.
Geez...I knew this would be trouble.
Hope you all liked it! :3 I really like the scene with Abby and Gaara, and I'm feeling quite better at the fact I'm letting things between Gaara and Abby be slower. When I was reading over the first version I couldn't help but feel everything was just thrown together too quickly.
Anyway~ Please review, alert, fav, ect c: I'll even give a shoutout on the next few chapters of the next five people who do!
