Mirra's point of view.

By the time I came to my senses, it was to late.

I had walked for about five minutes, though the thin layer of snow that had started falling just moments before, when it dawned on me exactly what I had done. I had ran away from my family, a little kid out all alone and at night no less. It was freezing out, and since I had forgotten my coat at home, the cold air touched my bare arms and touched my skin though my thin grey T-shirt. I shivered, wrapping my arms around myself in an attempt to warm myself.

I realized how stupid I was being, running away from home, and turned back the direction I came. The apartment was still in view, but just barely as I could see the roof of the building.

I started walking back, but stopped suddenly when I felt something rush in front of me quickly.

I stopped, frozen, and looked around quickly trying to catch a glimpse of what that was, but saw nothing but the falling snow. I was about to drop the matter and continue walking when I felt a strong bit of wind hit my back, like something was running quickly behind me

I gasped and spun around quickly, still seeing nothing. I blinked a few times, then rubbed my eyes, debating whether they were just playing tricks on me or not.

I started to turn once more to return to the apartment, but before I could, I felt something cold grab my shoulders.

I froze.

Behind me, I felt a stinging cold breath hit ny neck and sent shivers down my spin. "Now now, little one. What are you doing out all by yourself?"

The voice was shushed and raspy, like it was talking though smoke. I tensed as the hands gripping my shoulders tightened. The thing behind me bent down, burying its face into my hair and inhaling deeply. "Mmn, you smell of the sea..."

I sniffed and tried to call for help, but it only came out as a weak whimper.

"Come now, Bletéras, you don't actually believe she's the one?" A new voice called from within the shadows. This one sounded smoother, almost like silk. There was another rush of movement, and the sound of footsteps landing beside me. I shivered as another hand took my cheek, and though the darkness I saw two glowing transparent eyes starting at me, like I was looking down into a swimming pool.

"Take a whiff, Skiá!" The other one exclaimed, while inhaling another breath of my hair.

"You two are such idiots" another voice came from the other side of me. This was was more feminine that the other two, but also dark and smooth.

"What do you know, Lagneía?" The one from behind me called, lurching forward and pulling a fistfull of my hair. I whimpered in pain.

A chuckle came from my left, where the woman was standing, a dark sounding chuckle, almost evil sounding. "If you two did your research, you'd know the sea brat actually cares about mortals quiet a bit." I heard footsteps come closer, till I could make out the curvy sillhouette standing a few feet away from me. "Some more that others."

I began to struggle under the one behind me's grasp. "Let me go!"

"Aw, poor child" the woman said, stepping out into the light, allowing me to see her better.

She had long black stringy hair, falling over her skin, pale as paper and texture resembling the look of wet flour. Her eyes were glowing faintly in the darkness, a light pink color, and her lips were blood red, although I don't think she was wearing any makeup. She wore a sleeveless black dress, exposing her stomach, the collar low to show her upper chest. There rips at the side, revealing her long muscular legs.

"As if we'd let you go that easily" whispered the silk like voice of the one beside me. Some of his snowy white hair fell into my face, and out of the corner of my eye I saw the skin on his hand, which still rested on my cheek, was a leathery black color.

I struggled some more, trying to shake myself from the others grip to no avail. "What do you want with me!?"

The one behind me laughed loudly as if I just said a joke. "What do we want with you?" He repeated. "Why your our bait, of course!"

"What?" I questioned, still struggling.

"You see, child" the woman said, "if we capture you, that should catch the attention of a certain hero we all know."

"And once he comes and rescues you" the one beside me continued, "he'll fall into the little trap we have planned".

"And one he falls into our trap, we'll kill the most powerful hero in history!" The one from behind me exclaimed, laughing like a little kid on their birthday.

My eyes widened, and I started to struggle some more. "No! Let me go! Let me go"

"She sure is an annoying one" the woman commented. I screamed some more, and she growled.

"Will you shut up!" She snapped, raising her hand. I felt an intense amount of pain on my head, pain like I've never felt before. I dropped to my knees, seeing a few drops of blood drip onto the white snow, then blacked out.

Percy's point of view

I felt guilty for saying what I did, and making Mirra run out like that. I don't think I've ever seen her that angry before, and for her to run out like was extremely out of character.

"Mirra!" Mom called, running towards the door to go after her.

"Mom, hold up a sec!" I called. "Don't go after her just yet."

Mom gave me a look. "And why n-"

"Let her cool off for a bit" I said. "I mean, she was pretty angry. She probably doesn't want to be bothered. Just let her blow off some steam."

"Percy, it's not safe for her to be out all by herself" mom retorted.

"I doubt she'd leave the apartment. She's probably down in the lobby. But leave her be for a bit"

Mom hesitated her response, but after a few minutes, she sighed. "I suppose your right. We'll wait a bit."

And so we waited. I figured she'd be back within ten minutes, half an hour at the most. Then that pasted. We waited for another hour, still no return. Mom was beginning to get worried, pacing around the room like she often does when stressed. Paul tried to calm her down, but I could tell he was just as worried as she was.

Then two hours passed, Mirra still hadn't returned.

"Alright," mom said at last. "Its been long enough. We're going after her!"

I agreed, and Paul and I followed her out. We looked all over the apartment, asking our neighbours if they'd seen her, looking on all the floors and hallways. She wasn't there.

We asked the doorman in the lobby if he'd seen her.

"Yeah, I did" he had said. "She had ran outside few hours back. Would've gone after her, but had to help some lady with 'er groceries"

I could tell mom was about to rig his neck, but Paul and I pulled her away before she could. We didn't hesitate running outside to search.

"Mirra!" I called, mom and Paul following suit. We walked about a block with no sign of her, and I was getting extremely worried.

"Where could she be!" Mom exclaimed. "Do you think she went back to the apartment?"

Paul shrugged. Mom groaned loudly, kicking a rock to the side. I watched the rock roll off into the road. Then something caught my eye. On the road, there were a few spots of crimson red in the snow.

"Hold on" I told mom and Paul, as I went into the street to investigate.

Footsteps littered the snow, three large ones and one pare of small ones. Where the small ones were, they were scattered and smeared in the snow, like someone was struggling. I also took notice to the red spots (which I've concluded by look and location that it's blood) were right in front of the struggling footsteps, meaning whoever was struggling had been minorly injured.

Then suddenly, I dropped to my knees, looking over the ground, praying what I saw wasn't what I though it was.

But it was. A pile of strawberry blond hair, the exact colors and length of Mirra's, laying by the struggling footsteps in the snow.

"No..." I whispered. "No, no, no, no!" I punched the ground violently, causing snow to fly up all over me.

"What is it, Percy?" Mom asked.

I gritted my teeth and stood up from the ground. The cold air pricked at my skin and I felt tears wanting to form, but I blinked them away as my fist clenched tightly around my jacket. "Mirra's been captured."

Mom and Paul both gasped, but I wasn't paying attention to what they were saying. I brought my hands up to my lips, and whistled as loud as I could muster, and waited for blackjack to arrive.

There was no way I was going to let my little sister get hurt.

Yes! Posted within three days of the last one! I'm catching up again!

Here's an interesting fact about the monsters...

Bletéras= Blue Monster in Greek

Skiá= Shadow in Greek

Lagneía=Lust in Greek
