Chapter 9: Surprise visit and a break up
A/N: Okay guys, I know it's been FOREVER but I've been super busy with life, school, family and all sorts of crazy stuff.

Sam walked through the corridors of McKinley high, it had been two weeks since he had left and it had changed a bit since he transferred to Carmel High. He walked at a steady pace until he made it to his destination.. The choir room, he looked in and saw his friends sitting in their seats, discussing a new assignment with Will.
"Hey guys" said Sam as he nervously stepped into the room that he once called home.
"Sam, dude, what are you doing here?" asked Finn as he looked at the now Carmel student in the doorway.
"Yeah, I mean… Not that you're not welcome here, Sam, but… Shouldn't you be at Carmel?" said Will as he looked at the former New Directions member.
"I'm on my free period, sir" said Sam, smiling at the Spanish teacher.
"Sam, call me Will, you don't need to be so formal" said Will as he smiled at Sam.
"Okay… Will…" Sam replied hesitantly, not sure what to say.
"How's Carmel working out for you, Sam?" asked Artie as Sam smirked before grabbing something from his bag.
"It's great! Thanks for asking, Artie" said Sam as he fished around in his bag before pulling out a sheet of paper.
"What's that?" asked Rachel as Sam smiled at her.
"My schedule" Sam smirked as he looked over his classes for that afternoon. "Well, it looks like I have ICT and Calculus this afternoon"
"Are you enjoying your classes?" asked Quinn as she looked at her boyfriend.
"English is a lot easier" said Sam as he put his schedule back in his bag.
"Why?" asked Rachel, beginning to feel confused.
"Because Reese is my teacher, Rachel" Sam explained as he looked at his best friend's girlfriend.
"That's nice" said Mercedes as she looked up from her purple iPod nano.
After a while, the conversation was diverted to the subject of the selection of clubs at Carmel and Sam's new friends.
"So, Sam, have you joined any of the clubs at Carmel?" Puck asked, Sam blushed a bright red.
"Vocal Adrenaline" Sam announced, blushing slightly.
Rachel stood up abruptly. "WHAT?!"
"I had to, Rachel! At Carmel, show choir is at the top and sports and cheerleading is at the bottom!" said Sam, feeling his blood boiling.
"Seriously?" asked Finn, trying to distract Sam.
"It's cool, though" Sam said as he took out his phone and texted Jack.
"Made any new friends?" asked Will as Sam pocketed his phone.
"Yeah, and Quinn?" Sam replied, turning to Quinn.
"Yeah, honey?" Quinn smiled at her boyfriend.
"We need to break up" Sam suddenly blurted out, catching Quinn off guard.
"W-what?" asked Quinn, not understanding what Sam was saying.
"It's just not working out between us anymore, Q, with me being at Carmel and you being here…" Sam said simply, avoiding eye contact.
"I'll transfer, please Sam, please don't do this!" Quinn cried, tears pouring from her cheeks.
"No, Q, you need to be here at McKinley, with these guys, I better go…" said Sam as he gathered his things and ran from the choir room and back to his car before speeding away, back to Carmel.
Where he truly belonged.
