Sorry this is late. I got caught up with some family troubles but no matters. Shit happens and life goes on. Can't dwell on the past. Anyway, I hope you like the chapter cuz personally I didn't like it that much.
Yagura's POV
Yagura's eyes rested on the boy and the girl sitting across from him. Night was beginning to fall and his eyes were growing heavy, he to escape these pesky ninja, but they did rescue him.
"You're the Three-Tails jinchuuriki?" The boy in the blue robe asked, sounding more surprised.
"I know for a fact...the only thing I know really." Yagura responded as politely as he could. He quickly recalled the battle he had with the Kekkei Genkai user on the bridge. The remembrance of how cold it was made Yagura long for a blanket. He still could feel himself losing control that night, slipping into a deep sleep that he couldn't get out of. He felt unbearable rage that he couldn't take on.
He remembered the chilling, low voice that spoke to him right then and there, I'll take on the burden, don't worry yourself Yagura.
"Hello? Mizukage?" The boy called. Yagura lifted his head and raised an eyebrow.
The boy just rolled his eyes, "I said, where are you going?"
Yagura almost answered but stopped himself. To find the man that did this to me. He thought. but the words wouldn't form onto his lips. He could only shrug and say, "I don't know. To get far away from here I guess."
The boy glanced at the girl sitting next to him. Her emerald eyes glared at Yagura with disdain. She looked as if she was about to burst out crying and attacking him, but she kept a reign on her emotions.
The boy turned back to Yagura, "Would you like to join us?" He asked. His expression remained serious and straight.
"What!? Utakata are you insane!? This is the Fifth Mizukage!" The girl shouted.
"Fourth." Yagura corrected, she ignored him.
"He's a convict! If you looked in the Blood Bank book, his name would be right on page one. He's probably an S-rank!" She continued. "All the hunter-nin divisions will be hounding us. My dad will send my clansmen after you because he's thinks I captured you! This isn't a good idea."
"Hotaru, I'm willing to take that risk. In any case I'll keep you safe if your father tries to take you back or if hunter-nin hunt us down." Utakata replied calmly.
"But...but…" Yagura watched as the girl let out a heavy breath and shook her head in disapprovement. "Are you coming or not?"
Strength in numbers, He thought. But the girl is just going to slow us down. Hunter-nin and her clansmen could overwhelm us in an instant. Wherever they're going it won't lead me to the one hiding behind the curtains. Yagura bit his nail. This was an idiotic idea. Hotaru was right, the sheer manpower that could stop all of them could be too much for Yagura to handle. But was he better off on his own?
"Hurry up and answer. We don't have all day." Utakata said.
"Fine," Yagura answered immediately. "I'll go with you."
Han's POV
When Han had emerged from the water in the middle of the pond he figured to see people running about screaming.
Instead he was surrounded by a burning village and annoying villagers that wouldn't shut up. The prisoners had scattered and he could barely see. But he needed to find Fu quickly and leave before the tree completely collapsed. The ground beneath his bare feet was hot and moist. Steam was rising and mixing with the smoke, creating a light gray air where Han was. He pushed his way through people trying to look for the big mansion in the distance.
He then heard a loud hissing sound and a scream. A plume of smoke went up into the air behind him.
"Rizu! Get up!" Someone shouted.
"My arm! It burns!" Another cried back.
Another plume of smoke rose into the air closer to him. It completely engulfed the woman on top of it and she fell to the ground screaming and cursing. Several people rushed to her but some just kept on running.
The water below, it's evaporating...Han realized with sudden fear. Another loud crackling noise ripped through the air. He looked up an through the hazy black smoke he could see a bright flash of greenish yellow and a burning red. A good chunk of the wood had broken off and was falling into the village. Han spotted the flash again and suddenly felt frightened. Shock ran through his veins, as did adrenaline when the wood began to hit the ground.
And then he saw her, she fell through the sky, a log pushing her down. She wasn't screaming and Han couldn't even make out her form. The impact would kill her for sure if he didn't do something. So he jumped as high as he could, reaching for her with wide open arms.
"FU!" He screamed as loud as he could.
His eyes widened when he realized how foolish this was.
The log slammed into his stomach knocking the wind out of him. He fell through the sky, everything blurry. It seemed to all just melt together. He could only make out one shape and it was Fu's. Her eyes were closed and her skin was burnt and bloody.
"F…" He tried to say her name but his voice cracked several times. He reached for her arm desperately, but he could do nothing. He failed.
Like always.
Bee's POV
"The prisoner has escaped! He's left the Village Gate and is entering the forest, the ANBU are on his trail and the Inuzuka Clan is helping to track him." Bee overheard one of the Leaf Ninja speaking into his earpiece. He slowly moved in on the lone figure, hiding behind trees and anything that would conceal his presence.
As soon as he was close he darted out of the bushes he was hiding behind and hit the ninja in the back of the head, causing him to fall forward onto the grass. He groaned and tried to get up, but he was too confused and dizzy. Bee flipped him over and punched him in the cheek, knocking him out. He then removed the earpiece and put it into his ear.
"I see the target!" Bee lied, trying to sound as official as he could. "He's moving northeast toward the border of Konohagakure. I might need backup!"
"Understood, I'm sending ANBU soldiers right away." Someone responded. Bee then took the device out of his ear and destroyed it, continuing to move as quick as he could. Nightfall was beginning and if luck was on his side he could probably escape without a single scratch.
Should've stayed in Kumo. Bee thought.
That's what I've been telling you! Now you've gotten yourself into trouble...again! Gyuki criticized. Bee rolled his eyes, sometimes he just couldn't stand the complaining octopus.
Don't ignore me, Bee. You know I'm right.
Not right now. I'm busy trying to run away here if you haven't noticed!
Before Gyuki could protest, Bee blocked him out and shoved his voice to the farthest corner of his mind. He couldn't deal with this now. He wouldn't be surprised if the guy from the Interrogation Corps. was on his tail right now. He had to believe he threw them off.
Ay had always told him that the ANBU of Konohagakure was an excellent fighting unit with several different skills. He also said he would make something like it but that never happened. Stupid sensory ninja… Bee thought as he realized he wasn't out of the woods yet.
Bee suddenly tripped, feeling a sharp pain in his left thigh. He slid across the ground, biting his tongue to stop himself from shouting. He quickly tried to spot the wound. A kunai had been thrown and hit him when he was least suspecting it. he scanned the forest around him to see if anyone was there.
Keep moving. He told himself. Reluctantly he closed his hand around the kunai and pulled it out quickly, wincing in pain. Blood began to flow from the wound and Bee removed his scarf, wrapping it around his thigh to stop the bleeding. He then got to his feet and limped away as fast as his injured leg could carry him.
"Don't bother running away, or else the next kunai will go into your head." A voice said in the darkness. Bee looked behind him. A shiver began to creep itself up and down his spine. His breathing was beginning to get heavier and he felt some sort of evil emanating from the shadows.
And out of them emerged a familiar shape. A duffel bag was lying on the floor next to him and his blue eyes and blonde hair clashed with the setting sun and the shadows the trees casted.
Gyuki made a noise in his head. It was some sort of grunt and growl.
Kurama. He whispered.
