This is probably going to be late. Maybe one or two days. I expect to have it out by Tuesday afternoon but I don't know yet. Anything could happen. I also have an announcement. I'm starting another story. I think it's a bad idea to have two out at the same time so I'm gonna take a break on this for a week and focus on making a few chapters for my other story. If you wanna check it out it's called Naruto The Twelfth Akatsuki. The name is pretty self-explanatory but it's pretty much about Naruto if he was in the Akatsuki. Anyway, enjoy!
Yugito's POV
"Stop being ignorant! Die already!" Hidan yelled as Yugito back flipped away from the incoming scythe. His eyes were wide and murderous while his hands were curled into fists. The scythe in his hand was trembling slightly.
"No thanks. I'm fine staying healthy and alive." Yugito replied giving a fake smile. Hidan seemed to grow even angrier. His partner on the other hand sat down observing the fight. His arm twitched slightly.
"I'll fucking rip the skin off of your bones!" Hidan screamed. He charged at Yugito, yelling for what seemed like forever. Yugito's nails collided with Hidan's scythe. It was taking most of her strength just to keep the scythe off of her. She then blew fire from her mouth aiming for Hidan's stomach. He sidestepped to avoid the stream of flames then swung the scythe again so that the tip was aiming at Yugito's back. She ducked and borrowed energy from Matatabi without a word. A tail of fire grew on Yugito's backside and power coursed through her veins. An arrogant grin formed on her lips.
She thrusted her fingers forward and they connected with Hidan's chest. They pushed in deeper and blood flew from the wound. She sat on top of the maniac, removing her nails and continuing to slash and cut at Hidan with no remorse.
she was done she didn't even recognize his face.
There was a deep gash in his forehead and bleeding cuts were scattered across his face. He opened his eyes slowly and his hand shot out and closed itself around Yugito's leg.
"No escape." He said hoarsely. Yugito crashed to the ground when black tentacles wrapped around her waist and threw her to the ground. She let out a small cry and Kakuzu grabbed her chin and stared into her eyes. The tentacles were pouring out of his arms and wrapped around Yugito's throat. It slowly constricted her but she couldn't even lift his arms to cut it off. Fear began to plague her mind and she struggled to be free of Kakuzu. Her tail was gone by now and she was trapped. No escape. Hidan had said. Yugito never realized just how true that was.
"Tobi won't mind if I hurt her a little bit will he?" Hidan mumbled. The smile was back on his face.
"No, I don't want to waste anymore time. We have her already, let's just go." Kakuzu argued. Hidan glared at him. Yugito let out a noise to voice her opinion on the situation. At this point it was futile but what was she supposed to do?
No matter how far apart we are, I'll always find you. Got it? The voice whispered in Yugito's head. Her eyes went wide. It wasn't Matatabi. It was some other light voice. It sounded like a child.
You're such a liar. Even if I try to see you they'll stop me before you even say hi. Another voice said. Kakuzu and Hidan had seemingly melted into the background. They had become two children sitting in a forest. The sun shined down on the trees creating a large connecting shadow that swallowed up the two kids. As Yugito observed them closely she realized one of them was her. From the blonde hair tied into a long ponytail to the oversized short-sleeved shirt she wore and her skirt. The other kid was unrecognizable. He had bleach blonde hair and dark skin, sunglasses covered his eyes but his smile was shiny and pure. He seemed familiar, but at the same time he was a stranger.
"They're taking you away?" He asked.
"Intensive training. They say I need to learn how to control the Two-Tails." Yugito's past self responded.
"That's not fair."
"It doesn't matter if it's not. I have no choice, it's my duty anyway as a jinchuuriki."
"But...you're not a jinchuuriki,"
Yugito looked up at the boy, her eyebrow raised.
"You're Yugito. A girl with the power to choose."
"You don't understand, Bee. You never will…" Yugito muttered.
"One day I will, Yugito. I will."
Yugito crawled to the boy slowly, tears collecting in her eyes, they wouldn't fall but they clouded her vision. She was so close to them but when she reached to touch the boy's glum face, he disappeared. And so did Yugito's past self. It was only then that the tears really fell.
And then a sharp pain brought Yugito back to reality. The peaceful forest in front of her transformed into a dark gravel road with a maniac looking down at her body, a sharpened stick in his hand. His skin was weird. It was completely dark with white markings on it, making him look like a skeleton.
The pain flared up again and she gasped. Hidan seemed to be cutting her arm open in several different places. The sight of her own blood made Yugito shiver and flail. She realized she was wrapped in some sort of wire. The moon made out the glint of something thin and silver. She tugged at it but it seemed to tighten.
"So nice of you to join us!" Hidan said a bit too excited. His arm dropped to his sides. In one of his hands was a sharp metal stick that resembled a spire. It was coated in crimson blood.
"The hell?" Yugito watched as Kakuzu sat from a short distance away with no apathy for what was happening. Hidan was free to do whatever he wanted with Yugito and it scared her.
"Don't worry about being interrupted, Kakuzu doesn't really care anymore. And I took care of those samurai."
"Why are you doing this? Just take me to your lair or whatever. Stop this. It's insanity." Yugito begged. This guy's already insane. Yugito thought as she saw Hidan smile grow bigger.
"My lord, Jashin demands it. Maybe if you become a follower, he'll allow me to spare your life. Although I highly doubt it."
Yugito was seething. She could do nothing to help her situation, neither words or fists were reaching Hidan and now Yugito could only try desperately to escape.
So she decided to test his temper.
"Fuck you." She cursed, then she spit into his eyes causing him to jump back, obviously angry and frustrated. He gripped his spire harder and pointed it at his leg.
"What are you…?" Yugito couldn't believe this. She watched Hidan lift the spire up, still smiling, and bring it down slowly through his thigh.
Yugito's thigh exploded in pain. She tilted her head back and let out a deafening hiss. She thrashed violently as he brought it down even more slower.
Stop! She thought to say. But through all that excruciating pain, she knew that she couldn't give in. This guy got off on the suffering of others, so she wouldn't allow herself to show her pain.
Finally, after what seemed like years, the spire was out of Hidan's leg and was preparing to enter his stomach. Yugito bit down hard on her tongue and blinked away the endless tears.
"Cry out again, let me hear it." Hidan coaxed as the spire began to puncture his stomach.
In an instant the pain faded away and markings ran down Yugito's legs. They created a circle with lines sticking out from it.
Just relax, Yugito. I won't let him do this to you. Matatabi said.
So she did. It felt as if she was floating into the sky. Her body got light and lighter while a shining ray of light engulfed her and suddenly she was too heavy to even lift a finger.
And then everything exploded in white.
Bee's POV
Naruto's ball of chakra collided with Bee's stomach, making him spin out of control and hit a tree. The tree cracked and toppled over, creating a loud crashing sound of leaves rustling and wood cracking. There was no doubt the whole forest could hear it.
This idiot! Bee thought. He couldn't take this anymore. His back ached along with the fading pain of his thigh. Along with that his head was pounding and the world was slightly spinning.
Naruto walked over his hands curled into fists. With one hand he gripped my Kumogakure vest and reared his fist back. Bee's swords were scattered around the forest and he had nothing to protect himself with. He was in a daze and it felt as if he was drunk.
"I...no...don't do it…" Bee managed to say. As the world slowly came into focus, he looked into the boy's eyes and saw nothing but rage and anger. They were red with black slits and the lines on his cheeks seemed more obvious and thicker. They gave him the appearance of a fox.
Fox. The demon fox. Gyuki whispered in Bee's head. No wonder...
The fist collided with Bee's face and caused a teeth to come flying out. Before Naruto could deliver another punch a beam of light suddenly shone down from the clouds.
Naruto turned around just as a dark figure materialized from the beam of light. Great, might as well make a signal fire to go along with this…Bee initially thought. The figure lowered until it was hovering just above the ground. Bee slowly rose, gritting his teeth tightly and watching the figure touch the ground.
A burst of fire surrounded the person as they fell and the fire expanded, burning Bee and Fox Boy.
No way, how many of them are here!? Gyuki exclaimed. Bee went momentarily to Gyuki's dimension and faced the Ox.
What are you talking about? Bee asked.
My brothers and sisters. The other bijuu. I feel their presence here. Two Tails, Four Tails, Nine Tails...why are they here? Gyuki answered.
Two-Tails!? Bee quickly left the dimension and returned to the real world. He ran, despite his injuries, to the center of the light where smoke was now rising. For some reason tears were running down his cheeks. He'd never cried a day in his life. He'd always stopped himself. Something within him felt like crying meant losing a part of your confidence you'd never regain.
But it didn't matter to him now. He stopped as soon as he saw the body and fell to his knees. Bee knew who it was. From the blonde hair normally tied into a ponytail but now it was free and sprawled across the dirty ground. Her body was covered in cuts and wounds, her nails were broken and bruises were traced across her face.
Yugito Nii, the first person to ever love Bee, laid before him.
Gaara's POV
Gaara willed the sand to move, part of it protected him from the incoming bombs, the other clashed with the iron sand Sasori's puppet controlled. Despite his efforts, the iron sand was heavier and it quickly overpowered Gaara's sand, causing a wave of black sand to charge towards Gaara. He rose into the air using his sand as a platform and looked up at the ceiling. It was dark in the cave but Gaara could make out the cracks in the rock. Maybe if he could use enough sand to erode the rock and destroy it he could escape but these two were making it too difficult.
In an instant Sasori's puppet, The Third Kazekage, flew towards him. A scythe was sticking out of his right arm and a buzz saw was coming from his left arm. They were both aimed at Gaara.
"Just give up you fool!" Deidara cried from behind Gaara. Gaara turned to see the wave of birds flying is way. The birds that would most definitely detonate if they touched him.
A plan formed in Gaara's head that second.
He used his sand to surround himself and protect his body. He heard explosions and the ceiling rumbled. On the opposite side of the explosions he moved his sand to direct the puppet upwards, the buzz saw hit the ceiling and cut through it, creating a line any bug could crawl through.
Gaara planted a speck of sand on the ceiling and let it enter the line, then he flew through the air, dodging the iron spears Sasori sent Gaara's way and the clay Deidara created. He descended quickly, sending sand bullets right into the flying birds. They exploded and caused the ceiling to rumble some more. He spotted Sasori standing in plain sight, surrounded by iron sand. His Kazekage Puppet flew at Gaara again, this time preparing to end him. The scythe barely touched Gaara, the sand surrounded the puppet as the metal collided with Gaara's protective sand.
"Sand Coffin," Gaara whispered, still trying to avoid Deidara, "Sand Burial!"
The sand exploded, crushing the Third Kazekage's fake. Gaara hated the idea of his predecessor being turned into something like this. He had seen Kankuro build puppets before, it was a long and tedious process but he always created something new, not an imperfect copy.
Gaara flew upwards and Deidara chased him. That's right...fall right into my trap...Gaara thought as Deidara screamed in irritation. Gaara lifted his hands out in front of him and spread them apart as if he were swimming.
The cut in the ceiling broke apart, getting longer and wider. Moonlight rained down onto the cave and Gaara could finally escape.
"He's getting away! He's going to escape!" Deidara yelled.
"Deidara, seal the exit!"
Two tiny birds flew past Gaara and aimed at the top of the exit. Gaara moved the sand in the rocks, causing boulder's and stalactites to fall from the top. But Gaara emerged from the disappearing exit in an instant, unscathed. He took in the cool breeze and briefly enjoyed the still moment of freedom and serenity. He could hear Deidara's screams even as the crack was closed off by boulders.
I have to go back to Sunagakure and let them know I'm okay, He thought. But an image of Naruto appeared, causing him to pause. They're after Shukaku, who's to say they won't go after Naruto and the Nine-Tails? Or any other jinchuuriki? I have to warn them...but...Gaara knew his siblings would worry. He knew the villagers would worry. They'd send search parties to find him but he knew they'd come up with nothing if Gaara went to Konohagakure.
The village came first. It was his duty as Kazekage.
He flew south, the stars could lead you to The Land of Wind if you knew which to follow. As he soared through the night sky, a single thought repeated in his head.
Just wait for me, Naruto. Wait.
