A happy never after
the emptiness inside me, you started to fill
and my once unstable world stood still.
the old record began to play once more,
as the poet wrote again just like before.
like the boy from neverland,
you taught me how to fly.
and like the girl from the nursery,
i got it fast, i soared up high.
only your hand holding mine,
no fairy dust was the secret.
the wish that you won't let go,
i kept safely in my pocket.
indeed, all good things come to an end,
especially when one has to wake up.
from the deep slumber, to reality,
the dream, the fairy tale had to stop.
i lost my happy thoughts, inspiration and all,
hoping you'd catch me, break my fall.
like a bubble you burst out of thin air,
as i lay broken on the ground, and you just didn't care.
