Kid falls victim to a case of mistaken identity which then leads Kid and Heyes in search of the real Captain Curry. Initially I thought the story was complete at the end of chapter six, but as is sometimes the case, Kid and Heyes have other ideas. Chapter 7 begins Part II of this story

I am visited by a rather gruntled Heyes, who has something to say about how I treat his partner in my writing.

The Kid when separated from Heyes, gets in over his head, after he saves a young couple. Some violence and language. Now complete.

Heyes sees a chance to leave his old life behind and gain a new family, but it would mean leaving his partner to go it alone. I wrote this story many years ago and never published it. I think it's because I found the ending lacking. I'm still unsatisfied with the ending and will probably re-work it at some point down the road. I see a lot of potential for 'more'.

Was there a time the boys future could have been differently ordained?

An old friend stops in for a visit at Freedom Ranch. (This story is dedicated to my niece. It was inspired by a painting that she did for me which I have included as the cover for this story).

The first part is a rewrite of the challenge story 'Fool Me Once.' Each chapter is a complete story with no cliffhangers, they are just a series of events in their lives.

Unrelated drabbles inspired by wonderful pictures that a fb friend shares. The drabbles with the accompanying inspiring pic, can be found over on my site, which has a link posted to it on my fb profile. Drabbles in chapter four and chapter 11 both contain major character death. Each drabble is complete, but I will likely add to this semi often, so it will always be in progress.

A hard winter poses a problem for Hannibal Heyes. First posted as part of the Facebook ASJ Advent Calendar Project 2022.

After the boys finally get their amnesty. What happens next? This is my view of what might! The Kid of course finds trouble. The story is more about his journey, although Heyes is alongside him for the ride. The story is now complete. 3 Epilogues added. Chapter 20 is an extended version of my Advent story 2022. Set towards the end of Chapter 17.

Amnesty brings a reluctant farewell, and Heyes faces a Christmas alone. A .newspaper' article I wrote to accompany the story is over at my site.

Once upon a time, Heyes tricked Kid into biting a toffee covered onion. The time for payback has come.

Heyes' list, causes some tension between the partners on their first Christmas after amnesty.

This is the boys first Christmas at Freedom Ranch. With one of them falling ill will it be a good one? Was feeling a little melancholy after setting up the Christmas decorations and this story is what came of that!

A tale of an orphanage Christmas, starts off fairly bleak, but ends on a good note :)

Five years after they married, the Kid's wife leaves him. This story has tormented me for months,and I hope by finally writing it, I can exorcise it from my mind. I almost feel like I should apologise, but it would not leave me alone. Part 2 and 3 posted. Chapter 4 posted, but is really 1a by time scale.
