It was quick, fast, and expected. That was the definition of Gajeel's attack, I couldn't say whether it was strong or not seeing as my sense of power was kind've messed up after spending five years with dragons. I guess it would be strong for most average mages, but how am I suppose to know when I'm not just that average mage anymore? On instinct I jumped up and kicked him in the face, hey he asked for the battle right?

Staggering back he prepared to do an attack or something I don't know and since I punched him in the stomach a I probably never will. Anyways I took the time to add a little magic to my next punch and well, it hit him square in the jaw. Ouch was all a I could think all of the dragon slayers present could hear that crack. Gingerly touching his jaw he grinned a sadistic smile "So is that all you got 'cause you're not going to feel too good if that is," he said. I guess he thinks we've switched roles, in terms of power at least? Not a chance. Well looks like now might be a good time to put the acting skills I have to use.

Gajeel POV

The blondie wasn't horrible I'll admit to that but we got beatings way worse than this in Phantom. Of course that was only when I was a beginning member and that was a long time ago. I'll admit the jaw hurt like a bitch but hey what can you do? You win some, you lose some, and that's all there is to it. Well don't want to hurt her too bad so might as well just go to a normal amount of power. The usual stuff not anything too special I mean she must've caught Erza by surprise or something.

The real fight began let's say five minutes into when I began to use my real power. For those first five minutes all she did was defend, it was kind've boring actually, sure she looked a little roughed up but she wasn't horribly wounded or anything. After those first five minutes she added little jabs, twists, maybe some punches, and a few kicks here and there. It wasn't all that much and wasn't anywhere near wearing me out. Well that lasted for another three minutes she really started going at like the punches and kicks in the beginning, the ones that actually hurt more than a regular punches or kicks or at least when they hit their target. Moves, moves with power actual behind them, they weren't very accurate though, even full out missing at times.

As time passed I realized she was getting stronger, more accurate, and faster by the minute. It was much more than at the beginning it almost felt like she was escalating her power every couple of minutes. It was harder to avoid the attacks and definitely harder to stop from cringing or flinching. The blonde aimed for the joints, stomach, head, and places that could potentially pause my movement if hit. Also apparently my attacks weren't hitting it either and I began using my iron dragon's club instead of just my fist, although it wasn't helping that much since I was either hitting defended places or not reaching the target at all, there was some rare hits but other than that, zero accomplishments for me at the moment.

Power had to be raised from normal to higher than with her power raising by the minute it wouldn't be as easy to just increase my power gradually especially if I wanted to gain and stay in the upper hand. As she raised her power gradually, baby steps, and I took leaps going up it was probably hard to tell who had the upper hand. Unfortunately for me it seems as if my attacks were only effective for the first one or two minutes before she started to over power me again. The blondie was good I'll admit to that.

My attacks had escalated from close combat to avoiding close combat at all costs and using my iron dragon roar on occasion along with using the iron dragon's club more often. The blondes power had escalated from even when she had that "advantage" over me, she jumped high and was able to make small craters with her punches and kicks. It was quite annoying when they hit their aimed for spots. The power took another bound and I used iron dragon's sword twice, she leapt out of the way the first time and I only managed to nick her on the leg the second time. I was getting more accurate as my arm adjusted to using the sword again.

I finally caught her in the side of her stomach, I guess I caught her by surprise because she looked shocked but that look of shock turned into a smirk. "Wow I guess I really am rusty," the blonde said brushing of her jeans and jacket "You really do fight like him." My eyes widened who the hell was she talking about? I shook my head can't let her get to me I need to focus or she'll get that advantage again. Swinging again I nicked her ankle making her stumble, first I added in a Iron Dragon's Roar and then rushing up to her I punched her in the stomach. As I looked at her face she was still smirking even though she was clearly in pain. Dropping to the ground she was….wait laughing?

"I guess I'll use a little magic on you, congratulations Redfox," she murmured into my ear after floating back up to her feet, the blondie leaped back and then ran up to me at a dangerously fast speed, reaching me in what seemed like less than a second. Then she, or at least it felt like, bestowed hundreds of kicks and punches all over my body. All that I really knew was that I was in pain and I couldn't see anything but flashes of her blurred so that I couldn't tell anything except that she wasn't going to slow down anytime soon.

In a nick of time I managed to put up the dragon scales protecting me somewhat. Feeling that somewhat relief of not having those punches and kicks hitting everywhere I paused for a second before hearing a voice from behind me "Looks like we're a little stubborn now aren't we?" Turning around I saw the blonde, that annoying smirk still on her face, and the wind picking up her hair blowing it to the left. Wow I'm turning into a sap those stupid details are being described that way… My eyes traveled over her body, no not in a perverted way in a surveying the damage way, there were some slight wounds her jeans were ripped in the places I had managed to hit her and her stomach had a nasty bruise but other than that and a few bruises and scrapes she was perfectly fine.

She sighed "You just don't give up do you," the blonde said tiredly "You're more determined I'll give you that, but you're not powerful enough for me to take off any limiters yet…" My eyes widened this girl had a limiter and not just a limiter but multiple limiters!? I wasn't the only surprised one I heard gasps from the crowed that had gathered to watch the "new girl" vs. Gajeel. She noticed my surprise and the blonde said "Oops forgot I didn't say anything about that, oh well let's continue." I felt a punch to my stomach, stumbling back I didn't notice until I stood up straight again, but the blonde was now less than ten centimeters from me. I felt another punch to my stomach and heard a crack, so not only did I feel these punches they were cracking my scales?! Multiple punches reached my stomach and even though I tried to block them they were stopped by her other hand or at least I assumed. I felt the fifth punch and this time it hurt more than it had before. With that fifth punch I heard a shatter and my eyes widened once again…

My scales had finally shattered and I was basically defenseless, the blonde murmured in my ear "Looking forward to work with you partner, you start when you're fully healed." That was the last I heard before I was consumed in a burning light, and then the world went black.

Lucy POV
I stood in the destruction and looked around the trees were singed, oops? I guess I overdid it a little but still it's not like I took off a limiter or something. I stood in the destruction of the, or at least what was, the courtyard. I saw the master looking at me with with a horror struck look on my face and I said "Um oops?" I heard bawling and my eye twitched it's Gajeel's fault he was the one who wouldn't go down without a fight. I shrugged and walked into the now blackened forest it wasn't exactly charcoal, but the leaves and wood weren't very green and brown anymore. More land right? Walking through the forest a I found a nice pond that could fit a couple of people and was probably a tourist attraction if people had found it.

Now what to do with these clothes? Who could bring me clothes that one suited my style, and two could appear quickly…..Virgo! I looked around the forest and made sure no one was near and I summoned Virgo, before I made it to the dragon realm I was able to master calling them out without speaking, very useful in stealth missions. Her eyes lit up when she saw me and in her hand there was clothing and I smiled. "Thank you Virgo," I said and then closed her gate. I then summoned Cancer so that he could "un-dye" my hair so that it wasn't black anymore and just blonde. "Thanks" I said and after I closed his gate I stripped. I hadn't showered in days and I was all dirty from the fighting I had done today. Jumping into the lake I started to clean myself off and de tangle my hair it was actually pretty relaxing and I was almost sad when I was done.

I out on the clothes Virgo gave me and let's say I was pretty happy with them, it was a black tank top that I tucked into my tan high waisted shorts, one fishnet stocking thing that I'm wearing on my right leg, a black seventies punk rock gothic matrix long trench coat, and tan military boots. I'll admit even though I haven't seen Virgo in years she still knows what style I love to wear and when it changes. My hair had dried already probably because it was pretty thin, and I had wrung it out a lot before putting on my clothes.

I should probably walk back to the guild now but first I'll decide which tree II'll sleep in because I am not going back to the dragon realm and no way in hell will I waste money on a stupid apartment when I don't know if I'll stay here in the "human realm" or not stay with my family and get a mate or stay here and well, live here. I found a decently sized tree that was sort of flattened out and was stable. When I climbed up I had to kick a Vulcan out but hey it could be worse, it could be infested with something dangerous.

Deciding to walk back to the guild to check on my so called partner, I was almost tired I mean I got into two fights today, one major and one not major but that didn't mean I had to get tired. After that excruciating training period I got used to being overly energized, since I had to do worse stuff than the whole guild has had to in most of their fights every day for five years. Before I knew it I had reached the guild and walking in people gave me frightened looks. I heard whispers about me having limiters and. I scoffed people guessed I probably only had two but really why didn't the just outright ask me? Geez. What a bunch of idiots. "I have five," I said and when the guild looked at me blankly I rolled my eyes "Five limiters." Their eyes widened and I had to resist the urge to roll my eyes again or punch something.

I sat down and looked at Mira who was to put it bluntly staring at me. She smiled at me when she saw me looking back at her. Walking over Mira asked "So what are you going to name your team?" Pretending to be stupid I replied with the question "A name?" Mira smiled at me and said "Like Levy, Jet, and Droy are team Shadow Gear, and Natsu, Gray, Erza, and Lisanna are Team Natsu." I felt the urge to raise my eyebrow and say oh but I didn't it shouldn't matter right? So they replaced Lucy Heartfillia huh. It doesn't surprise me that much but I guess if Lucy was still in there somewhere she would be hurt, the truth is five years is a long time and people change.

I nodded at Mira a signal that basically meant I understood and then I asked "What would you suggest cause my creative juices aren't exactly flowing right now." Mira thought about it for a second, well actually it was more than a second, a lot more than a second. When she finally answered the debate began.

Mira: "Steel Hearts?"
Me: "Too Girly."
Mira: "Team Gajeel?"
Me: "*scoff* Because he totally has the pants in this relationship and also way to much gasoline to the fire of his ego."
Mira: "Team L?"
Me: "Too much reference to me and L? That's a long way down the alphabet."
Mira: "The Blonde, The Panther, and The Dragon?"
Me: "Yes because. I'm totally going to fall in love with Panther Lilly because Gajeel cheated on me with Levy." Blank look from Mira "Nevermind." ((see what I did there?))
Mira: "GaL?"
Me: *roll eyes* " This isn't a fanfiction and we are not going to be a couple!"
Mira *sighs* "I give up."

Finally! Oh my gosh and wait how did she know my name started with an L? Whatever, I'm not going to bother with asking because it would just become another debate. Sighing I said " I'm going to check on my 'partner' and I'm going to ask when he can start." I walked away and headed for Gajeel's corner where he was being dark and brooding as always. I sat down across from him and asked…

Oh my gosh you're getting another chapter from me, friggen awesome right? Anyways thanks for reading and sorry I didn't get more chapters out this march break. You should've gotten this chapter yesterday but some shiz went down with my ear and I was in a clinic for one hour and a hospital for four. So I didn't have any time for writing since I was either eating or getting ready or almost passing out or nauseous or something like that. So yeah not much writing yesterday.
