Hiashi jumped onto the railing. He then dropped to the ground. He straightened up. Hayate landed next to him. They both walked forward. Neji's crying slowed down. " I'm so sorry for letting you see me like this." said Neji.
" Don't apologize. You have every right to fall apart just like any other person." said Shikamaru.
" Thank you, Shikamaru." said Neji. Shikamaru nodded and stood. He grabbed Neji's wrist and pulled him into a standing position. They turned to face Hayate and Hiashi. " Are you alright?" asked Hiashi. Neji nodded. " Take care of him Hayate." said Neji. With that, they turned around simultaneously and Shikamaru offered his arm to Neji. They walked out at a leisurely pace. " Your not mad about knowing that Hayate wants to be for your uncle?" asked Shikamaru. " No, I'm not. Just because I choose not to show him who I am, doesn't mean he needs to hide himself. Besides, he's probably the second emotionally wrecked Hyuuga aside from me." said Neji.
Shikamaru completely agreed. " Are we ever going to train in the village?" asked Shikamaru. "Yes, you need to know how to let me know your coming without the enemy knowing." said Neji. " How do I do that?" asked Shikamaru.
" Do you remember, when you asked me if I was still blind because I felt the chakra you had on your katana?" asked Neji. " Yeah." said Shikamaru. " Just send out a chakra burst, but aim it at your necklace." said Neji.
Shikamaru nodded. Suddenly Neji ran back the way they'd came. Shikamaru stopped. Suddenly he felt chakra coming up behind him fast. He could feel it was Neji's. He guessed this is what he meant when he said he could feel the henge.
He turned around. " Do you see what I mean?" asked Neji. " Yes, I do. Hey how are we going to train if Diamond can't be see in the village?" asked Shikamaru. " He won't be seen. He will be wearing a henge." said Neji. " Are you going to let him out?" asked Shikamaru. Neji nodded. Suddenly, a chakra signature hit both their senses. They looked up and saw a black and white hound. " Nice to see you Shadow." said Neji. Shikamaru arched an eyebrow. " It's Diamond's name when He's in the village." said Neji. " Do you mind if I call him by that name?" asked Shikamaru. " No, I don't. He's yours too." said Neji.
Shikamaru turned around and took off, Neji and Shadow behind him. " Is he still wearing his collar?" asked Shikamaru. Yes." said Neji. They ran for two hours before stopping. " See you Neji." said Shikamaru. Shikamaru felt a hand on his arm. " Diamond may come to your door if I need you." said Neji. Shikamaru nodded. He than turned around and started walking home.
Shikamaru was on his team's training ground watching his sensei and team mate spare . He and Ino were the only two students his sensei had. On Gai's team, there were only two students Lee and Neji. He was watching as Ino threw a punch at her sensei's chest and he dodged. Suddenly, an Anbu and hound were standing in front of Shikamaru. The Anbu had a hand on the hound. " Nara Shikamaru, you are to report to the Hokage's office immediately." said the fox masked Anbu.
Shikamaru nodded. " Also, the hound is to report to the forest where his master resides." said the Anbu. Ino and Asuma had stopped sparing and were watching the exchange curiously. The Anbu disappeared. Shikamaru looked at his sensei and team mate. " May I go sensei?" asked Shikamaru. Asuma nodded. The hound turned around and took off, Shikamaru right behind him. Asuma was confused. Ino wanted to know who's hound it was.
