Hiashi wasn't used to this. " Everybody needs to let go, including you." said Gai. Hiashi was scared. He never had someone there. Could he really fall apart knowing they would see how vulnerable, how disgraceful he was? " I will not judge you." said Gai. " He's right. I don't want to see you alone anymore. I will be there for you. There is no shame in letting go." said Hayate. As he walked up to them. He stopped a small distance away.

That did it, Hiashi lost control. He sobbed. Gai brought them to knees. "I can't take this anymore." sobbed Hiashi. The long ago hidden pain crashed through him in waves. Why did he have go through this? He acted emotionless, but it hurt him in more ways then he could ever explain. " I have to choose between my daughters. I say such hurtful things that I don't even mean, but am forced to say because I'm always being watched by the clan elders." sobbed Hiashi.

Hayate wanted to strangle those elders. He watched as Hiashi broke into pieces. He couldn't believe the pain coming from Hiashi. It was thick and suffocating. Gai hated those clan elders. He couldn't just sit back and watch as he tore himself apart. Gai reached up and ran his fingers through Hiashi's hair. Hiashi stiffened, scared out of his mind. " It's alright. I won't hurt you. I will always be gentle with your neck." said Gai.

Hiashi cried like a baby for the next hour. Hayate's heart broke. Gai slowly rocked them back and forth. Hiashi cried harder. Gai realized in that moment, that Hiashi had never had comforting of any sort. Something a mother gave their child without thought. Hayate saw this. He knew Hiashi couldn't go on like this. " I was raised with the assumptions that mothers never comforted their children when they cried. That crying was forbidden." sobbed Hiashi.

" Your not alone anymore." said Gai. Hiashi's sobbing finally slowed down after an hour. Hiashi nestled into Gai's chest and wrapped his arms around Gai's waist. " Thank you." said Hiashi. It was so soft they barely heard it. " Your welcome." said Gai. Hiashi was comfortable in Gai's arms. He almost didn't want to move. Gai unwrapped his arms from Hiashi and stood. He grabbed Hiashi's wrist and pulled him to his feet.

Hiashi turned around to see what Hayate's reaction was to his crying, and found himself wrapped in another pair of arms. " You've gone through this long enough. I'm here for you when you need it. Don't hide your self from me." said Hayate. Hiashi nodded into his chest. " You hurt him, and I will enjoy killing you immensely." said Gai. As he glared at Hayate. "I will never hurt him. You have my word." said Hayate. He unwrapped his arms from Hiashi and stepped back.

" Hiashi, we will give you a shoulder to cry on if you need it. We will not watch you fall and not have someone to catch you." Gai and Hayate said in unison. For the first time, Hiashi let a genuine smile overtake his face.

" Well, lets go get those two." said Gai. With that, he turned around and took off. Hiashi and Hayate right behind him. They stopped after about fifteen minutes. When they looked up, they smiled at the sight before them. There was Neji and Shikamaru, on their knees. Neji had his arms wrapped around Shikamaru, who was snuggled into Neji's chest.

They hated to break the peaceful serenity that surrounded the two. Gai walked forward and stopped a good distance away. Shikamaru stirred in Neji's arms. Neji felt Shikamaru move. Who's there?" asked Shikamaru. Slightly frightened. " It's alright. It's just Gai Sensei, Hayate, and uncle Hiashi." said Neji. As he ran his fingers through Shikamaru's hair. Shikamaru relaxed in his arms.
