" It feels like his." said Shikamaru. " It's suppose to." said Neji. Hiashi sat watching the two. He didn't know what to think of his nephew. He was amazed at all he saw. He wondered if Neji would trust him enough to show him who he really was. Suddenly, he felt someones chakra hit the seals. When he appeared in front of them, he saw it was Asuma. " I need to speak to Neji." said Asuma. " Very well." said Hiashi. He then disappeared. Hiashi landed back in the compound. " Neji, Asuma wants to see you outside." said Hiashi. Shikamaru paled and was glad he was sitting. " I'll be alright. I'll send our friend if I need you." said Neji.
Neji stood up and walked out. Shikamaru was left sitting ,wondering if he'd ever see Neji again. Neji passed through the seals and stopped in front of Asuma. " What do you need me for?" snarled Neji. He really hated Asuma for what he did to Shikamaru. He was unprepared however, for a slap to the cheek. Though, his face remained expressionless.
Asuma yanked Neji's wrist harshly. " Where your going, I'll know everything about you and your vile clan." said Asuma. He hated the Hyuuga clan. Neji mask was firmly in place, but in his mind, he was scared out of his wits. Hiashi watched as Shikamaru paced the floor like a caged animal. He wondered how dangerous Asuma really was. After all, he did look a little crazy around the eyes. " Whats got you worked up?" asked Hiashi. " It's Neji. You saw the damage they gave me. If he hates me that much, who knows how damage Neji's going to accumulate this time." said Shikamaru.
Just then, three chakra bursts hit the seals. One right after another. Hiashi once again, left the room.
When he landed this time, he almost snarled in rage. There stood Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, and Kiba with Akamaru by his side. " What?" asked Hiashi. " Your needed in the arena." said Kakashi. Hiashi disappeared. When he landed, Shikamaru was standing. " We need to go." said Shikamaru. He lunged. Hiashi blinked as he felt Shikamaru's hand close around his wrist. His eyes widened as he felt himself get pulled.
His eyes snapped open. He hadn't known he'd close them. His jaw dropped as he saw where they were. They were in a secluded ally right next to the arena. " How did you?" asked Hiashi. " Neji's not the only one who's hidden behind a facade to protect himself. He's scared of you. Though, he'd never admit it. He thinks you would kill him for your and the clan elders own personal gain." said Shikamaru.
Hiashi couldn't believe what he was hearing. He knew Neji never trusted him. Heck, in the beginning, he had a hatred reminiscent of an abused puppy. All was directed at the main family. But, he never would have believed Neji was that scared of revealing himself. " Is that really what he thinks of me?" asked Hiashi. " Yes, he would never trust a clan member. Every time he's near a clan member, he tenses. He's a brother to me. And I'll protect him with everything I have. Even from you. You may not be aware of it, but the major clans and some Jounin of the village hate the Hyuugas. He's in danger every time he leaves that compound. He's the easiest Hyuuga to kill without someone noticing. You wouldn't care. The only ones who would notice and care are, me, Gai sensei, Hinata, Naruto, Shino, and Itachi. The only Uchiha that doesn't make me want to kill him." said Shikamaru.
Hiashi tried to adjust to all he heard. " He can't honestly believe that I." said Hiashi. " HE'S AFRAID YOU'LL KILL HIM IN HIS SLEEP HE'S NEVER RELAXED AROUND YOU. HE CLUNG TO GAI WITH THE VENGEANCE. BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WANT TO BE PUT DOWN. I KNEW THAT AND I WASN'T EVEN THERE. HE'S A LITTLE BABY IN A TEENAGERS BODY. HE CLUNG TO THE LAST TWO PEOPLE THAT HAVEN'T HURT HIM!" Screamed Shikamaru.
