I can't move my legs or speak anymore. I have just lost my dad. "What have I done?", I thought to myself. I cried. I cried because I thought it was all my fault that my Dad is gone. I cried because I'll never be able to walk or talk again. I cried... then I fell asleep.

... ... ...

I woke up. And to my surprise, I wasn't in the hospital anymore! I saw the sky as a flock of round green flying creatures passed through a strangely fluffy cloud. That puff of air was so thick-looking I thought I could touch it."Hm. I wonder if there are any more interesting clouds." I searched for more clouds to admire... Until an animal went right in my face! Surprised, I quickly stood up. That... thing that scared me looked like those birds I saw, only that it was red and it had no wings. It also looked about the same size as them. It was kinda... cute. I reached out my hand to touch it, but it waddled away... "Wait a minute.", I said in a bland tone. I widened my eyes as I suddenly realized something. "Wh... What just happened!?" I stammered with both excitement and fear. But mostly excitement. "I'M STANDING UP! I CAN WALK AGAIN!" I exclaimed as I jumped and punched the air. Then I gasped as I realized I can talk again, too! It's as if the crash never happened! But then I stopped to wonder: Where am I? And how come I can walk and talk again? "Maybe I'll go look around."

I scanned my surroundings to find a pink version of the animals that I've kept on seeing. It had a spring attached to its underside and looked like it was in some kind of lifesaving ring, although it was probably part of its body. "Oh well.", I said as I shrugged my shoulders and hopped onto the bouncing pink ball. "Wahoo!", I yelled as I the pink sphere bucked around like a bull. But you know what they say... It's all fun and games until someone gets launched off a puffy version of Tigger through a bunch of pokey trees and lands into a patch of soil. But that's not what happened to me. Right before I landed into a patch of soil, by instinct I flapped my long ears to stop me from being emotionally scared for life. Wait, you didn't I had long ears? Neither did I, until that happened. "Whoa." I said in amazement. "How did I... do that?. Huh? What are these fluffy things" I said as pulled on my ears. Hard. "Manya!" I exclaimed in pain. "Ar... Are these my... ears?" I tried shouting into them to check if it was so. Never. Doing. That. Again. "Hey, they feel really soft." I said as I hugged my new pair of listeners. "Guess I have a built-in blanket now, huh?" Then I looked around. An ensemble of lush, pink lilies surrounded me, slowly dancing with the help of the cool, sweet breeze. I savoured the fresh, clean air as I inhaled... and exhaled. "Nice." A pink and yellow butterfly then kissed my nose and flutters away. "H... Hey! Come back here, butterfly." I said as I began to chase it. Although I tripped, I kept on going.

BOOM! I gasped as I heard that... noise. "Hey, I see something shiny planted in the ground.", I thought. With all my might I tried to pull it out of the coarse soil. I pulled so hard that not only did the object come out, but I was thrown with it as well. The precious tresure that I plucked out was a ring that appears to be made out of gold, with a green gem embedded in it. And to my surprise, someone popped out of it!

It was a small blue ball-like sprite creature... thing, donning a yellow star on top of its head... er, body? You can't really tell which part's the head of a sphere-shaped creature. "Hello. It's a pleasure to meet you!" said the sprite in a very cheery and polite manner. "My name is Huepow. And what's your name?" I stared at him as if I was seeing an alien. Was he an alien? I suddenly realized he was asking for my name. "Oh! Um, my name's... Klonoa." "Kl... Klo... Noa." said the little blue sphere, sounding proud that he had correctly pronounced my name. "Uh-huh. Klonoa." I replied. "People usually don't say my name right." Silence. "Um... Do you wanna play?" said Huepow, shyly. "OK." I said. "What do you wanna play?" "Tag!" Huepow immediately responded. I was surprised by that swift reaction. "Oh! I'm sorry. Let's play tag." He corrected himself. "Su.. Sure. Where do you wanna play?" I said as I searched for a place to run. "Hey, how about there?" said Huepow as he pointed to a tree. "Oh... wait that's not a..." But before I could finish, Huepow tapped my back and gracefully floated to a nearby field. "You're it!" Yelled Huepow as he began to fly away. I didn't know he had hands. "Oh no, he's getting away!" I quickly began to sprint.

I sprinted with all my might to tag my new friend. "He's really quick on his fe... oh wait, he doesn't have feet." I thought. "I'm gonna catch you, Huepoe!"

Then we stopped. We looked up. We saw something soar like a bullet into a bell tower. The bell started to chime. Eerie darkness started to attack the cloudy blue sky. It was like it was chasing us!

... ... ...

"WHOA!" I breathed heavily. "Klonoa?" I turned my head to see Huepoe above a rocking chair. "Oh, I'm in my pajamas.", I thought. "I must have been dreaming." I sighed in relief.

"Boys? What's going on there? Were you using my rocking chair, again? You know you're going to fall off. Well, except for you, Huepow." said our Grandpa, kindly but loud enough so we can hear from upstairs. "Grandpa?" said Huepow as he went downstairs. "Klonoa just... um..." "Had a nightmare?" finished Grandpa. "Well, why don't you go fetch him and we'll talk about it." "Yes, Grandpa." said Huepow with a nod. Wait, how can he nod if he doesn't have a... "Klonoa, Grandpa would like to see you." "Sure." I said.

I hope you enjoyed it. I really enjoy writing. Before I press this button that will end the universe, there are a few things you need to know:

#1: So, you may have noticed that I've been trying different writing styles. Please spare me.

#2: Also, I feel like I don't have a sturdy base for the story. I am going to try to stay cannon... well, exept...

#3 I don't like how I made the car crash chapter. I'm just gonna say that. So stay tuned for the next chapter. And say hi to Jojo for me... wait, wha?
