Title: Seducing Cupid
Rating: M
Pairing: Shizuo x Izaya,
Warnings: Male x Male Relationships, Smut

Description: He sees it every single day; people falling in love. It was just another day in the life of the new Cupid, Izaya Orihara. You would think he would know what falling in love looks like, but that wasn't the case when it was his love life. Shizaya. AU.

This whole situation was really weird; scratch that, it was fucking unbelievable. He was sure if he wasn't so damn tired, he would have made more of a fight. However, Shizuo was too exhausted to argue.

By the time the bartender was finished work, it was already half past two. His muscles ached from exhaustion and his eye shut a few times on the walk home. When he got to his house, he was so physically drained that his legs just drug him to the soft bed in his room and his back met the mattress soon after. Sleep seemed to seem a luxury that the tired man wasn't allowed to indulge in because only minutes after falling asleep, there was a loud bang in his living room. Caramel eyes widened in surprise at the sudden sound and it took a few moments for his mind to register what was happening. With a loud groan in annoyance, Shizuo got out of bed and made his way towards the living room. Anger was slowly starting to flow through his fatigued body at the thought of an intruder stealing away his precious sleep. What he saw, however, was completely different from what he thought he would see. The man, who was following him and stalking him, was laying on his stomach on his living room floor, bleeding profusely from the torn up skin on his back.

Shizuo reacted almost immediately at the shock. Making a mad dash to the bathroom, the bartender opened up his medicine cabinet hastily and grabbed everything inside as well as a few towels. Running back to the living room, he kneeled next to the fragile male and pressed the towel on the bleeding flesh. Eyes darted around the room for the closest phone which, to his luck, was within reach. Grabbing the phone, he was shocked to see some sort of black smoke wrap around the device.

"What…the fuck?" Shizuo said out loud. His eyes followed the strand of smoke only to settle on a figure dressed in all black leather. His heart skipped a beat for a moment at the initial shock of another person in the room. "What the hell is going on!?" The person said nothing. They simply walked forward and began typing on a phone. The figure stalled for a second before erasing the text and rewriting it. After it deemed it suitable, the phone was turned over for the blonde to see. Shizuo scrunched his eyes at first to try and adjust to the brightness before settling on the message.

[This is what you were destined for.] The sentence meant nothing to him at first due to his tiredness, but then it hit him. Turning to look back at the man lying on his carpeted floor, he hesitated. It was odd really. For 5 years, he questioned what his supposed 'destiny' was. Now, here it was; laying in a bloody mess. Shizuo turned back to the person to ask more questions, but they had disappeared. The blonde sighed and wet back over to the bleeding man. He wasn't quite sure what that message meant, but he got the message not to call the ambulance.

With unsure hands, the tired bartender started to wipe the blood off the torn back. When the white skin on the back started to come into view, Shizuo was shocked to see absolutely no wounds; no cuts, no scraps, nothing. All it seemed like was that the man was just covered in blood. To most, it would have been a relief, but it just annoyed Shizuo.

This person had him worried for absolutely nothing. Worst of all, they deprived him of his much needed sleep. With a constant mantra of 'how annoying', the blonde angrily walked back to the small bathroom and tossed the towel in the sink. His feet drug him to the closet and in the hall where he grabbed a blanket in annoyance. The blanket was then tossed on the man on the floor.

"You bleed on that, I will kill you for real." The lights were turned off and soon the angry man was back on his soft mattress.

Pain.

That was all Izaya could feel, even in the half conscious state that he was in. It felt like his spine was ripped out. The fallen angel moaned in agony before memories of the night before started to sink into his mind. His wings were ripped off. Now where was he? Was he in hell? No…hell would have meant more burning and more pain.

"Are you just going to lay there and moan all day? It's getting annoying." Slowly, the man on the floor opened his eyes to see another man hovering over him. "At least get off the fucking floor." The hovering man said before walking out in the kitchen. Izaya blinked. Was he dreaming? Red eyes darted around the room. It looked like a small apartment but not one he had seen before. The wandering orbs drifted over towards the kitchen where the blonde man was standing in front of the fridge, drinking milk straight from the carton and staring back. The two men stared at each other for a moment in complete silence before Shizuo's face twisted in annoyance. The carton was pulled away from his lips as he glared at the man that was still lying on his floor.

"At least say something you annoying pest." The irritated man said. Izaya slowly started to sit himself up, trying desperately to suppress screaming out in pain.

"What the hell is going on?" The injured man asked in a serious tone. The blonde man look at him before taking another drink from the milk carton and setting it down.

"Dunno really. You just appeared on my floor last night…" Shizuo said as he pressed his back against his white counter and tilted his head back. "Sounds crazy but you just…appeared and there was this er..black..shadow thing." The bartender said carefully to try and not sound too insane. However, no matter how he tried to word it, the situation still sounded weird.

"It does sound crazy, but it makes sense…sort of." Izaya said as he tried to mask the pain in his voice. Shizuo either didn't hear the strain or choose to address it, which the fallen angel was thankful for. He hated pity. The consequences, whether good or bad, were consequences all the same to the actions he chose. "It's even crazier that you let me stay. Any normal human being would have called the police." Apparently, the other man found that statement funny because he started to chuckle.

"I ain't exactly a normal person." Shizuo said before closing his eyes. "Five years ago, I died." This statement both intrigued Izaya and confused him. After their first encounter, he had dug up as much information as he could on the blonde. Surely something as important as death would have come up, but it didn't.

"Care to elaborate?" Izaya pressed on. The blonde man clenched the white tile under his hands slightly before letting out a sigh.

"When I was 18, I got hit by a car. I was in critical condition and despite the doctor's best attempts, I died on the operating table. But…it was weird, because after I died I could like…see myself on the table."

"An out of body experience." The fallen angle quickly chimed in.

"Yeah, that…Anyway, when I had this…out of body experience that black smoke thing appeared and it said it wasn't my destiny to die yet…that I was destined for something else. Then, I woke up. Scared the shit out of the doctors because they said my heart stopped for six minutes but somehow suffered no cell or brain damage." Shizuo finished. It was really weird. For some reason, he felt comfortable telling this man, that was stalking him for weeks, all this personal information.

"Fascinating." The former cupid said after a moment of silence. Truly, it fascinated him. This might be the connection between the two. The pieces were starting to fit together. The puzzle still had a lot of missing pieces, but it was starting to come clear that somehow this was all planned. Deep down it really annoyed Izaya. He wanted to be the one that chose his own destiny, not have some angels choose it for him. The former angel wasn't a play thing for them, but still, he somehow managed to play all the moves that were set out for him.

"Anyway, I'm not really sure what is going on, hell I don't even know who you are. What's you name anyway?" Shizuo finally asked as the question finally dawned on him. As smug as ever, the dark haired male smirked.

"If I told you, I would have to kill you~" Shizuo didn't find the statement as amusing as the other man did.

"Fine don't tell me. I will just call you fucking flea cause that's what you are." The remark caught Izaya off guard. Nobody had ever referred to him that way and it was intriguing. Shizuo pushed himself off the counter and made his way to his bedroom. "I guess you can stay till I have work." The blonde said before shutting his door.

I'm sorry about that HORRIBLE ending. The next chapter will be better (hopefully). I will also hopefully be able to update more because I FINALLY am getting some time to myself after about 2 months. Blame my sister for the lack of updates! Please review! It does make me update faster!
