Here's a short update to kick off the summer (it's not summer-related, unfortunately) and commemorate one year since I first published Behind the Curtain! As usual, I apologize for my irregular updates, but I promise you that this project is still ongoing as long as I continue to have tiny inspirations here and there.
This one is pretty mature so I'm warning all of you kiddos out there who are too young for these scenes.
As usual, the ending is my favorite part of the chapter; I hope you all like it!

Behind the Curtain
Act 5
Ploy
Summary: He falls victim to another one of her ploys.
She hovers above his torso, each of her knees are pressed against his hipbone, straddling his lower body.
Her soft breasts bounce rhythmically up and down as she gyrates against his crotch until there is enough body heat to start a bonfire. He's not the only one that's been stirred awake; she feels it prodding at her inner thigh through her yoga shorts.
"Rimaaa," the aroused male moans.
"What are you doing?" His voice is laced with confusion, but he makes no effort to stop her.
She doesn't seem to have heard anything he said for she continues on with her prior actions.
She places her palms flat against his chest and bends down. Her golden locks lightly brush against his skin. She licks and sucks sensually at the base of his neck until a pinkish red mark appears.
"Rima," Shiki groans again.
She's definitely heard him but has obviously chosen to ignore his words. "Shhh," she whispers seductively.
"Rima, this is-,"
She silences him with a forceful kiss on the lips. By now, she is completely on top of him and the only layer separating them is her thin silk camisole.
He is suddenly very, very grateful that he never sleeps with a shirt on.
She weaves her slender fingers through his untamed maroon hair and pulls his head forward, pressing their faces even closer together. Her tongue plunges into his mouth and she skillfully explores his moist cavern.
She pulls back abruptly and stares mischievously into his hazy eyes. "Thanks, babe," she grins and then rolls off him effortlessly. He lays there motionlessly, still mind blown from being assaulted during his sleep.
"Wow, that was definitely better than my dream," he sighs breathlessly.
He looks around, but his mate is nowhere to be seen. "Ri-Rima?!"
Shiki rubs his eyes in confusion and questions if his wonderful morning had actually been simply an ethereal fantasy.
He lifts his left hand and brushes his fingertips over his neck, collecting the moisture from the mouth that had been there just moments ago.
"What the hell just happened?" he wonders aloud.
It is not until he finishes dressing for class and preparing to leave that he finally returns to his king-sized bed.
He slides his hand under his pillow for a while and becomes agitated once he cannot find what he is looking for. He lifts the pillow in frustration and tosses it aside. There is nothing but a bare bed sheet underneath.
'Where is it? I'm pretty sure I left it here!' he yells in his head. He bends over and tries the other pillow before he goes into full-on rage mode.
It isn't there either.
Then it hits him.
"She stole my key to my pocky cabinet," he realizes.
He mentally berates himself for not seeing through her ploy. 'I should have seen it coming.'
He gathers his resolve and exits the room quickly. He sees Rima sitting on the banister nonchalantly making conversation with Ruka and flashes them a nod of acknowledgement as he strides by donning his poker face.
He descends the stairs and smiles to himself. Inside his head, he has already begun to formulate a plan for revenge.
End.
