Only a week has passed since Gohan trained Videl on how to fly and Diego doing the same with Goten. The difference was that Goten naturally learned first and now was playing a 'tag game' with Diego which it helped him to improve his flying speed
"C'mon Goten! I know you can do better than that!" said Diego as he left an afterimage behind and Goten going through it thinking he finally touched Diego, but finding a tree right in front of him putting a stop on his flight path in a quick second before crashing "That's good Goten. You have to learn making sudden stops like that. Keep it up." said Diego floating just a few feet away with his arms crossed.
Goten was happy with how he learned how to fly really fast and liked the way Diego practiced with him "Hey, how about he race around the world and after that we check on Gohan and Videl?" said Diego
"Race around the world?!" asked Goten with such excitement "Yeah, but only one lap. And to make you a deal, you can transform Super Saiyan and and I will power up just to my base maximum and see if you can beat me like that." said Diego as a faint white around appeared around him as he powered up to his base maximum
Goten also started to power up but in a quick flash his hair spiked, his eyes turned a teal color, his hair took a golden coloring same as his aura and the Super Saiyan transformation was complete. It always amaze Diego how easy he makes it see but always wondered what actually trigged the transformation on both him and Trunks "You ready?" said Diego floating next to Goten
Goten looked at him and nodded with excitement "Okay, ready~" said Diego as he dropped in a running stance and Goten following "~set~" he continued as he focused more energy for a better start "GO!" he yelled as both Goten and him flew off at top speed leaving a golden and white trail behind them.
Diego was on the lead when all of the sudden, Goten shot past him at incredible speed "Oh so we putting that much? Okay then, get ready 'cuz here I come!" said Diego as he poured more power and caught up with Goten in a blink of an eye leaving a white-blue trail and almost made Goten loose some control "Hey! That's not fair, get back here!" shouted Goten as he tried to catch up with Diego but found himself impossible to.
Goten started to get frustrated and a look of sheer determination flashed in his eyes and tapped into a source of power he didn't know he had but didn't pay attention to it and just cared to catch up with Diego.
Diego was flying a good 30 yards in front of him when suddenly he felt a spike on Goten's energy. He looked back and saw him catching up and noticed the stern look of determination on his face "Seems that Goten is stronger than I thought even at a Super Saiyan. Good." he thought and as soon he cut his train of thought, he noticed Goten just a few feet away from him "Keep it like that and you MIGHT be able to catch me." teased Diego with a smirk.
At this point, they were already half way around the world "So flying it is fast. I guess they just make it seem slow for the sake of the story." thought Diego at the realization that they were just half way around the world after starting to race no more than two minutes ago.
Three more minutes passed and they have already made a lap around the world. Diego came to a stop and Goten, not too far off, also came to a stop "Well, we did a lap around the world. Looks like I won." said Diego in a teasingly tone with a smirk adorning his face while Goten just looked at him with an annoyed look "Don't worry sport, you almost catched me even at my best!" said Diego ruffling Goten's golden hair and managing to get a smile from the small demi-Saiyan "C'mon, drop your Super Saiyan state and lets go how Gohan and Videl are doing."
They both flew just a short distance from where they were and over the trees they saw Videl and Gohan still training on Videl's flight and he could see how far has advanced in her training, she was now flying more then 20 feet in the air. Both Goten and Diego landed next to Gohan "Sup dude." said Diego
"Hey guys, how are you doing? How's training going?" asked Gohan looking back at Diego and down at Goten who was admiring Videl's progress.
"Everything is going good. Me and Goten have a surprise for you, but that will be for later." said Diego while he ruffled Goten's hair "That's right big brother!" responded Goten with a big smile
"I wonder what could that be?" said Gohan "No worries, we will show you once you are done here." responded Diego
Videl started to come down, slightly panting out of exhaustion "Hey Videl, I see you have made some progress. You will be flying like us in no time." said Diego with a proud smile adorning his face
Videl turned at him and gave him an accomplished yet exhausted smile "Thank you...Diego..." said Videl in between pants "I need...some rest." she added as she sat down on the ground, supporting herself with her arms in the back and extending her legs out for them to relax "Boy, today was good." said Videl looking up at the blue skies and then re-directed her vision to where Gohan, Diego and Goten where standing talking to each other.
A small blush formed in her face when she looked at the two older demi-saiyans. Diego briefly looked at her and she quickly turned around trying to let him see that she was blushing "Oh man, what am I thinking? Why do I get this warm feeling towards him? I mean, he is handsome and all... No! C'mon! Get a hold of yourself! This is just for the training and nothing more!" Videl said mentally to herself
Diego walked up to where Videl was "Hey Videl, you alright?" Diego asked after noticing how quickly as he looked at her. Videl 'jumped' at the sound of his voice "Y-yeah, everything is alright!" she responded with a nervous laugh "Are you sure? Your face is kinda red." he said, with a sly grin knowing what all that was about.
Her eyes got comically big and her face got a deeper red because of him pointing out her blush "I'm feeling a little winded right now! I'm gonna go and get some rest! See you guys later!" and just like that, she got her capsule out, pressed the top and threw it on the ground making a jet-copter pop out and quickly got on it and left.
The three demi-saiyans looked all dumbfound and wondering what got into her "Well, that was...odd." said Gohan looking at the direction to where Videl took off and just receiving a simple nod from Diego "Okay, better timing couldn't have been. Lets get down to business." said Diego looking at Goten and then at Gohan "Lets have a three-way spar."
"Alright but first, lets make it interesting." said Diego as he started to power up, his hair spiking up, muscles swelling with power, eyes turning a blue-teal color and a golden aura exploded around him as he transformed into a Super Saiyan.
Gohan looked at him in a very baffled way "Umm... If you want the three of us to have a spar, I think we should make it fair for Goten since he can't transform into a Super Saiyan." said Gohan as Diego looked at him with a smirk on his face
"Goten, I think is time to show your brother here what are you capable of." said Diego looking in Goten's direction "Yeah! Lets show him!" very excitedly Goten responded
Gohan looked at both of them confused "What are you two talking abo–'' Gohan was interrupted at the sudden spike he felt coming from his younger brother. He couldn't believe what he was seeing, his hair spiked up flashing from black to a golden coloring, his eyes flashed to a teal color, his aura exploding around him like dancing golden flames.
Gohan was blown away from the sudden transformation by his younger brother "B-but how?! When did this happened?!" asked Gohan whose eyes almost popped out of his sockets "Well, you see, Trunks and him hang out a lot and knowing how Trunks is, they 'played' fighting a lot so naturally their power level would increase with each session especially at their age. Goten's first time though was during a short spar against your mother. Ain't that right kiddo?" asked Diego patting Goten on the head "Yeah, that's right!" shouted Goten.
"Well, that's...umm...well..." Gohan was lost for words "I'm telling you man, if we don't step it up a couple of kids are going to surpass us." said Diego scratching his head in a worried manner and nervous laughter "Y-Yeah haha you are right!" said Gohan with little worry
Diego clapped once loudly "Okay! Lets get this spar going!" shouted Diego and dropped into a fighting stance "Alright, lets do this." said Gohan also getting into a fighting a stance "Yay yay yay!" shouted Goten.
Without signal, Diego and Goten leaped towards Gohan double teaming him. Gohan was caught off guard at both of them coming at him "Ok, I see how it is. Let them come!" Gohan thought as he prepared himself.
Diego increased his speed and went past Gohan as Goten began a full frontal assault. Gohan dodged every single punch and kick Goten threw at him with little difficult "Wow, Goten really is good at this! Mom has been teaching him good things. And by the way, Where's D–.." Gohan was interrupted as Diego swiped his legs "Shouldn't get distracted too much from your own thoughts Gohan, keep your head in the game man!" said Diego as he threw a barrage of punches, all connecting and finishing with a roundhouse kick.
Gohan righted himself mid-momentum from the kick. He looks up and sees Goten and Diego exchanging blows, he noticed how much Diego has grown into this world, getting in touch with his Saiyan side by enjoying the spar, he saw the smile in his face.
Diego grabbed Goten's kick and used his momentum and threw him up in the air "That should take care of the little squirt for a minute" thought Diego as he sensed Gohan coming right at him with a right hook, he easily dodged it by leaving an after-image behind "You think I'll fall for that?" said Diego from ten feet behind Gohan "C'mon, give me your best shot" said Diego with a grin and dropping to his fighting stance "Alright, you asked for it!" said Gohan
They both locked arms and struggled in order to over-power each other, both raising their power level a little bit. Gohan was surprised that Diego was keeping up with his level which was very close to his maximum, Goten was strucked in awe at the amount of power they were both putting out.
The ground under them started to crack, their auras flared up, rocks started to float all around them, electricity flashed around them. They broke their lock and jumped ten feet off of each other "I haven't even began to show you what I'm capable of." Said Diego with a smirk in his face "Come on Diego, we have trained together in the chamber, I know what you are about." Responded Gohan "True, we trained together for a year, but while your ass was sleeping, I was improving." Said Diego with now a serious look on his face.
Gohan was intrigued and curious as to what Diego could mean by that "What do you mean?" Asked Gohan with a serious tone "I have always wanted to do this and doing this technique while in Super Saiyan might take my body to an immense strain" Diego then got into power up position
Gohan got alarmed and got himself prepared to whatever Diego was going to throw at him "Here we go! SUPER KAIO-KEN!" shouted Diego as his aura turned into a burning crimson color "Super what-" Gohan wasn't even able to finish his sentence as Diego punched him in the jaw and flew away due to the force of the attack, Diego then disappeared and reappeared past Gohan and kicked him up the air he then flew past Gohan as he waited for him and doubled axed him down to the ground again creating a crater. Then Diego landed five feet away from the crater and dropped on his knees and back to his normal form panting heavily "Well that was definitely something." said Gohan walking out of the crater unharmed except from minor scratched and small bruises and his clothing torn here and there
"Yeah…now my body…feels like tearing…in half…" said Diego in between breaths "Yeah, if I hadn't raised my power a little you would have had made a number on me." stated Gohan
"Yeah, sorry dude but I kinda went too far in using that technique." said Diego now looking up at Gohan "It's fine, just don't use it too often or you will really destroy your body like that." said Gohan extending his hand to help Diego get up.
Goten landed close to them and went up to them "Wow guys! That was incredible! You guys are really strong!" shouted Goten "I want to be as strong as you guys when I grow up!" both Gohan and Diego looked at the smaller Saiyan with determination in his eyes "Well kiddo, believe it or not you soon will be as strong as us even at your age. You have it in you, just keep it up!" said Diego giving him a thumbs up "He is right, you are Goku's son after all." said Gohan while messing his hair as both of them dropping from their Super Saiyan form.
Their stomachs simultaneously growled in sign of hunger "Well, that's cue for us." laughed Diego as he rubbed his stomach "A race to the house! Last one is a rotten egg!" shouted Goten he flared his aura and took off "Hey, you had an early start! It's not fair" shouted Gohan as he too flared his aura and took off after Goten "Hold up!"
Diego looked up and smiled upon seeing them fly away without a worry, a smile took over his face. He felt happy "Sure, I miss home but I'm happy I made this decision of staying." he thought "Hey! Wait for me!" shouted Diego as he flared his aura and took off.
